Oh my gosh Geoff, my mouth is watering! With Lent upon us I’ll be making this to eat on Fat Tuesday the day before Lent begins and then again when we celebrate at Easter. Love your videos, keep them coming my friend!👍👏👏😋
I like Michael Lim too. Your work is very pleasant to watch. As some cookie dough chills...I watched your video. Thank you for helping us be better bakers!
Walnuts are very healthy. They are rich in antioxidants, a super plant source of Omega-3's, may decrease inflammation, promote a healthy gut, and may reduce risks of some cancers.
Hello Geoff that walnut pie looks just perfect yet another recipe for me to try . Today I made your orange cake it was the second one l made this week they turned out so well l was thrilled with them .l am writing down your recipes as l make them and they have all got the same heading at the top of the page "GEOFF'S".You have certainly got me into baking mode lately and I am getting some good results thanks to you !!!⭐🌞🌈🌈
Hi Pixie, I hope you enjoy this one if you do try it. I am glad you are enjoying the orange cake, I must admit that I ate rather more of mine than is really good for me, LOL. I hope you find the baking relaxing, as I usually do.
Hi Geoff. I baked too this walnut tart from Michael Lim and I found that it was a little dry. What you have done with yours looks more moist with the syrup added. I would do like you next time and add honey or maple syrup as I can't find golden syrup here. But it is a very lovely tart and delicious. When you baked yours Geoff do you bake on a tray or just put the pie dish on the rack by itself?
Hi Patricia, I think the small amount of syrup does add a little more moisture to the finished pie. I baked mine directly on the oven rack, without an additional tray.
@@geoffsbakingblog Thanking you Geoff for answering and explaining. When I make Quiche I put it directly on the hot tray that I preheat in the oven makes the bottom crust lovely. But mostly with dry fillings I do like you. Thanking you Geoff.
@@raymondgimay4642 Hi Patricia, I sometimes do the same, where I want the base to get a big hit of heat immediately to help prevent what in the UK, with the advent of Great British Bake Off, call 'a soggy bottom'.
What an unusual recipe. I'm so tempted to make it. The trouble is that I'm trying so hard to cut back on sugar and there's rather a lot in this pie. Oh dear. I was never very good at avoiding temptation. Do you have any No Calorie cakes, Geoff?
Hi Nees, unfortunately the only no calorie cakes I can think of are those little cakes that are sometimes found in gentlemen's conveniences to give off a nice aroma. I wouldn't recommend tasting such a cake though.
Hahaha. I'll take your word for it, Geoff. I haven't been in a gentlemen's convenience lately. Oh well. We'll just have to go with your lovely walnut pie, won't we? What a hardship! 😍. 👍👍👍
Hi Geoff Great recipe will probably keep till summer Did you know the focus of camera is not centred when using your mixer but soon rectify I’m sure. Suzanne
Hi Ann P. I did say the temperature in the video. It is also in the recipe on my blog, a link for which is below the video. The temperature is 180C / 160C Fan /350F.
Not sure about this one Geoff... Im not really keen on nuts on mass as this looks dencely packed but I'm sure any one who loves walnuts chopped like this would love it... so... You can't win em all, as they say 🙄😒😏or you can't please all of the people all of the time... ❤️
Hi Henrietta, I understand, am I not keen of too much nutty stuff, and walnuts are not my favourite. But this really does taste so good. I will make it again, with hazelnuts, yum, yum, yum.
Another great looking bake. I love walnuts and I can't think of something more delicious looking.
Hi Harry. Thanks very much.
I LOVE walnuts and pie, so this is so PERFECT👌😋👍💕🙌💃😄!!!

Hi Renee, You are most welcome. I am hoping to be better at baking too, but it takes time. LOL.
My mom loves shortbread and pecans. I might try this recipe with pecans!
Hi Mary Elizabeth. I am sure it would work well with pecans. Let me know.
Always great recipes, Geoff!!

I am feeling better already and I have only had one slice. LOL.
