- This is my first pair of Vortex binoculars and I have to say how happy I am with how well these perform.

I have the same pair for a year..love em . They find my deer ,wide field of view,clear. No complaints here and yes pair was an upgrade.

Thanks for the review. I have several pairs that I'm not happy with. One of which is name brand and cost a pretty penny over 35 years ago. They work if you look through with one eye. LOL Maybe I'll check it out when the budget gets better.

BTW your broken Nikon binos have a lifetime warranty. Simply send them back and you’ll get a new pair.
Really!?! I've never heard that they offered that. Appreciate the information and really appreciate the kind words.
So I just looked it up and yes they do have their lifetime warranty but it has to be registered and have proof of purchase which I bought these 10 + years ago. Vortex doesn't require any information to send in their gear for warranty which is truly the best I've seen yet.
Just wanted to thank you for giving me that information about Nikon's warranty. I followed up with them and did receive a new pair of binoculars under warranty. Really appreciate it.

Just picked up a pair of these. They are a "choose your Fathers Day gift" from my wife (stay back, she's all mine). I was looking for the best set that wouldn't make me cry if I somehow damaged them. I had a pair of Zeiss once (once) that I still have nightmares about. The guy at the counter had me test the Leuplod's side by side with this pair. I adjusted both at the same distance looking at something outside the storefront then had him hand each one to me without looking at them so I could "blind test" which one really performed better. I thought for sure the Leopold would win easily. I was surprised that the Vortex were CLEARLY better. Much more light was captured and the image was brighter. As a side note I tried the same thing with the 3X9 40 scopes with the same brands and the Leopold won that round.
BTW, I am guessing that you are sitting in a field of CRP in Northern Sherman County. Am I close?
I like the idea of getting to choose your own gift for father's day 🤔 Gotta get my wife onboard with that.
I like the fact you blind tested each pair. Never thought to try that at the store before. Vortex is definitely a company I'll continue to purchase products from. I own a Leupold scope myself and it's gets a lot of compliments from people who use it saying how clear it is. Really happy you got a good pair of binoculars and at least if these ever break you'll always have their awesome warranty.

Lol I had the same problem with my Nikons, was deciding between the m5 and diamondback ended up getting the diamondback
Must have been more common than I thought it was cause I've been hearing the same story by a few others. Hopefully they fixed that problem after all of these years lol. Still use my diamondbacks on a very regular basis and couldn't be happier with them. Thank you for checking out the review and for the support!

I bought a pair of those very binoculars they fell out of a chair in my dining room onto a linoleum floor less than 2 feet drop and they are no good now I had a pair of 20 by 50 Pentax binoculars and they have fallen from twice that distance several times and they cost less money and they are working perfect warranty is good but not if you have to keep sending them back to get them repaired over the slightest bump

How do these compare to the Celestron 10 x 42 trail seekers which sell for about the same price.. i’m trying to make a decision on which one to buy I am Leaning towards the Celestron but I’m not sure yet.
Honestly I don't have personal experience with that brand but I know that their warranty doesn't even come close to the Vortex lifetime warranty. I like the glass quality in vortex products compared to many others. Celestron appears to make an ok product but I don't appreciate the fact the put a "limited lifetime warranty" on their products. I usually get a bad feeling from optic companies that do that.

Leupold has a Lifetime Warrantee , and from what ive seen and heard they uphold it .
Yes they do. I sent in my scope last year for repair and they definitely did uphold their warranty. I do like Leupold products but Vortex seems to be a better fit for what I need.
I just paid $150 for mine on optics-planet im waiting for them to get here

I've yet to try but I believe you easily could on the typical low flying aircraft

Are these good for the range? 100-200 yards?
Yes they are. I have used these out to 300 yards when sighting in my Ruger Hawkeye rifle

Can someone recommend me a pair of autofocus (fixed focus) binoculars? I used some Steiner 8x30 and romanian IOR 7x40 (Carl zeis jena under license) where you only adjust your eye diopter once and no need to autofocus every fuckin time. Who the f needs to watch something with bino at 50m?

I contacted Nikon shortly after making this video and after talking to them about the situation they told me no problem at all and sent me a brand new pair. They informed me that their warranty on binoculars are limited lifetime but that includes replacement if they can't repair. I made a follow up video on the Nikon's and explained this whole mix up.
