No cap, just days ago, I was actually following the belief that the one we fought was PHH Vortigern. That is until I've read some translations and summaries for LB6. Brief answer: *No, this is NOT PHH Vortigern.* This makes more sense than the previous belief actually. PHH Vortigern, in Garden of Avalon, was described as a man clad in dark armor. Even Saber Alter is considered as his "spitting image", which implies that her armor is similar to Vortigern's armor. PHH Vortigern was born as the incarnation of the will of Britain that rejects the Age of Man and only accepts the Age of Mystery. He was also the personification of the White Dragon Albion and doomed the whole island of Britain with his tyranny. He was then later defeated by Artoria and Gawain with their combined efforts (Galatine + Excalibur) and then later Artoria's Rhongomyniad. And now in Lostbelt 6. Just like any Britain having their own Artoria (in this case, Castoria), it also has their own Vortigern. Vortigern was summoned as the incarnation of LB Britain's will to destroy itself. It is a place built by the sin of the Fairies and therefore shouldn't exist. The first time Vortigern was summoned was around 1000 years ago (Year 1000 in Queen's Calendar) when he was still the Mors King that led an army of Mors against Morgan, and was then defeated by Woodwose. His 2nd summoning was at Wales. But he lost his identity due to Welsh Fairies corrupting his Saint Graph and he later became known as "Oberon". This corruption spell was undone when Wales was burned and all Welsh Fairies got killed by Barghest. LB Vortigern's goal was the destruction of the entire LB Britain. But Oberon's goal is the destruction of not only LB Britain but also our world. This is why the Abyssal Insect (that very huge dragonfly) only existed to swallow and destroy everything in LB Britain. This is because Oberon finds Chaldea's destruction of Lostbelts as infuriating as they continue to "reject stories". A part of Oberon's existence is from a "story" (Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream"). To reject stories means rejecting Oberon's existence. Rejecting his dreams. After all, *Oberon's true goal all along is to find the woman who truly loved him in the story: his wife Queen Titania.* In the final fight, Oberon-Vortigern even said that PHH Vortigern was pathetic as his goal was only to bring the end of Britain and not the end of the entire world.

Gotta say he captures the Fey style of hunting perfectly with his ascensions and attacks, With 1st and 2nd being a playful and almost drug-like euphoria while presenting to be this colorful bright and happy go lucky, only for their true colors to come out, while still colorful, leaving you in a dark void fester to rot in your own nightmare, as they sap away your life and slowly corrupt and consume you (like how most bugs eat) Fairies have always been the best "Pretenders"~ can't wait to see what other pretenders we get or hopefully get more fae infused servants
I bet Mother Harlot Nero would be a great Pretender servant. Other candidates could be Loki fused with Shirou as a Demiservant or Fafnir taking over Siegfried's body as Siegfried Alter.
Oh yeah, Faeries are well.. The best way to put it would be cruel. Pixies are a closer idea to what fairies nowadays are potrayed as lol A fae would (probably) laugh at a Disney depiction of fairies... Or probably get an idea to trick someone. Or both.

Man to think that originally the lostbelt was gonna end when you defeat Morgan in a good versus evil kinda vibe. But because of Oberon here and Chica Umino. That became a catalyst to make Nasu rewrite and expand the story to what it was now. So because of him the story and lore became one step deeper. So thank you mothman. And welcome to Chaldea...even though you hate Chaldea for destroying lostbelts.

Regarding the Pretender Class that I have a random theory came up with it where I theorized that Goetia would be a Pretender Servant. The first reason would be that during Part 1 of FGO where Goetia are pretending to be Solomon so they got the pretending part down or at least from what I can understand about what one of the qualifications for being a Pretender. And another is from a gameplay perspective where whenever we fight Demon Pillars and final boss against Goetia where they are similar when it comes to being strong against the Knight Classes while being weak to the Calvary Class. Though the info about Pretender may still be lacking and only having Oberon be only one be confirmed one then I just wanted to see how my theory holds up.
He needs to believe on himself that he's really Solomon. Not pretending to be one. Oberon Vortigern believed on his very core he is Oberon. Until his memories came back and thus, Pretender Class.
So, interpreting what you said, it’s possible we’re gonna have a Pretender Solomon with the 3rd Ascension revealed to be Goetia. Asc. 1 is Romani Goetia, Asc. 2 is Solomon and Asc. 3 is Goetia (either his Final form or his Human form we saw at the end of the Solomon singularity but with updated animation)

Never did I think there would exist another servant that'd give Voyager a run for his money in terms of who my favorite servant is... I fucking love Entomancers. Also he reminds me of Pouf from Hunter x Hunter for obvious reasons and i just love that anime. Also I love shakespeare and Oberon and Fairies and it just keeps getting better and better.

Wasn't really a fan of his base form and 2nd ascension, felt like there's something wrong with him because the art doesn't seem to fit him. Then Vortigern came out and like it all made sense why he doesn't suit lighter colors. He is made for the dark side.

Although is good to have access to the class from the beginning, we also gonna know for the begining who is the impostor. Part of me want to think that Oberon gonna be the exception since is the first one and the others Pretender gonna be summonables at first in other classes and their true class should need be unlocked by story, 3rd ascension, interlude, etc. In gameplay it would be annoying but I would find it fun, at least for the new players. they get a new lancer, just using him without know any spoilers, and BAM, it was Pretender.
Quick and loose translation of his summoning lines cause it's kinda interesting: "...what is this? How did something like this happen? Ah, I see. So until humanity is stable, lies can continue to slip through as lies, huh? Haaah....fine. I give up. That's the type of human you are anyways. My name is Oberon. I got Oberon in only 3 tickets, but my JP account is just for rolling on for fun, so it has no story progress past Okeanos. I used the free max ascension on him and the game is spoiler banning me from seeing the Vortigern parts of him. It actually kinda made it creepier having his 2nd Ascension just stare blanky at me without saying anything as he hit stage 3 and 4.

After seeing all his ascensions its pretty much confirmed he isn't the final character of the that 2021 servants picture...So the chances of Zepia Oberon being playable are even bigger
merlin, koyanskaya, gong, nightingale, (potentially proto merlin) and now oberon. All of which are capable of giving a 50%. DW sure loves there busters
I think Oberon is going through the Abigail phase where right after he is released a couple months later we'll get a ST Pretender (since he is AOE). I think his kit is neat but he'll get a Rank Up Quest in 2 years because his NP damage is too low to compete with other Buster NP and DW is going to add Pierce Invulnerability to help increase his damage after his NP and/or an extra effect to offset his 3rd skill; which at best is the strongest single target buff in-game and best skill to use on a Wave 3 of farming or at worst is a situational high risk, high reward skill that cripples your team/cards for 3 turns and essentially locks him down to having only two skills. I like everything about this Servant from the VA, art and NP but his kit is Chen Gong levels of advanced to use.
I used a Pierce Invul CE on Oberon for this Demonstration, that's why he was able to damage Altria at 3:45.
Normally he won't be able to do this.

Regarding the Pretender Class that I have a random theory came up with it where I theorized that Goetia would be a Pretender Servant. The first reason would be that during Part 1 of FGO where Goetia are pretending to be Solomon so they got the pretending part down or at least from what I can understand about what one of the qualifications for being a Pretender. And another is from a gameplay perspective where whenever we fight Demon Pillars and final boss against Goetia where they are similar when it comes to being strong against the Knight Classes while being weak to the Calvary Class. Though the info about Pretender may still be lacking and only having Oberon be only one be confirmed one then I just wanted to see how my theory holds up.
Its plausible to say that... Maybe they will release goetia as pretender on thevents coming

Asc. 1 is Romani Goetia, Asc. 2 is Solomon and Asc. 3 is Goetia (either his Final form or his Human form we saw at the end of the Solomon singularity but with updated animation)

Although is good to have access to the class from the beginning, we also gonna know for the begining who is the impostor. Part of me want to think that Oberon gonna be the exception since is the first one and the others Pretender gonna be summonables at first in other classes and their true class should need be unlocked by story, 3rd ascension, interlude, etc. In gameplay it would be annoying but I would find it fun, at least for the new players. they get a new lancer, just using him without know any spoilers, and BAM, it was Pretender.

I used the free max ascension on him and the game is spoiler banning me from seeing the Vortigern parts of him. It actually kinda made it creepier having his 2nd Ascension just stare blanky at me without saying anything as he hit stage 3 and 4.

After seeing all his ascensions its pretty much confirmed he isn't the final character of the that 2021 servants picture...So the chances of Zepia Oberon being playable are even bigger

I think Oberon is going through the Abigail phase where right after he is released a couple months later we'll get a ST Pretender (since he is AOE).
I think his kit is neat but he'll get a Rank Up Quest in 2 years because his NP damage is too low to compete with other Buster NP and DW is going to add Pierce Invulnerability to help increase his damage after his NP and/or an extra effect to offset his 3rd skill; which at best is the strongest single target buff in-game and best skill to use on a Wave 3 of farming or at worst is a situational high risk, high reward skill that cripples your team/cards for 3 turns and essentially locks him down to having only two skills.
I like everything about this Servant from the VA, art and NP but his kit is Chen Gong levels of advanced to use.
