Why do the call it “North Potomac” and “North Bethesda” rather than “South Gaithersburg” and “South Rockville” respectively 😂?
"North" sounds better
As a resident of the area, there is a fair amount of snootieness ( not a real word, I.E. snobbery). Where people with a fair amount of money but not enough money to live in Bethesda or Potomac but don't want a Gaithersburg or Germantown address and would rather be associated with Bethesda and Potomac. Unfortunate, but whatcha gonna do.

At least the median household income in Kensington is under 200K. They must be practically giving those homes away. 😂
Perhaps the population decreased because people are still migrating to southern states like Florida.
