yes... properties have risen in prices. It's just gonna continue doing that overtime. So look for a reasonable one and keep it for a while till you thinks you've seen a better place to live forever. A house is a great investment and security for you and your family. If you wait too long expect they're gonna be higher in prices. Always keep looking around till you find a modest place you can afford. I'm in Woodbridge, Fairfax county . I just don't like the summer weather so I'd be relocating somewhere in the bay area when I find something reasonable.
Loudoun County is so expensive the residents call Asburn, Cashburn. We lived in Lansdowne and Round Hill and it is lovely but wow it takes a ton of $$$$$$$$$$$$ to maintain there. We moved to Winchester a dozen years ago. It used to be much more affordable but then everyone started moving here to get away from the high prices in Fairfax and Loudoun. Now Winchester is almost as expensive as everywhere else in NOVA, which is too expensive...
It is true that all home prices in the NOVA area have gone up because of the pandemic and the demand. Winchester is a lovely town though and despite the price increases I hope you still love it there!
It's too bad that this guide to living in Ashburn, Broadlands, and Brambleton only show the outside of the residences. Please consider showing what the insides of the dwellings look like.
There are SO many house types it would be hard to show them all. Add to that the restrictions on taking videos in homes that are for sale it makes it really difficult to do that. This is where the buyer consult comes in to play - learning more about what the buyers want in a home and then scheduling showings to go see them. We also do virtual showing for those clients are not local.

Well said @montyl. Sorry you are looking to leave but understand summers can be brutal here!
