Thanks, I am getting started with rowing and your video is very useful. Clear instructions, all steps broken down into manageable bites, you speak at an even pace that is easy to follow . I hope you do more.

I agree with the comments " this is one of the best sports EVER! ". Rowing is a full-body exercise.

How long should a rowing workout be?...should we target a distance or target a specific time & how to go to higher levels?

If you have never rowed before, or even exercised much, what kind of shape are you in? Too many unknown variables with your question.

@@ranjanahegde2518 if you're rowing to lose weight and tone up I'd say 40 minutes to an hour a day. Rowing machine works 85% of muscles if you get the technique right. It also targets your core so you can get a flat stomach and a six pack. You sound in good shape anyway. I used to be really overweight and out of shape soo I had to start doing long walks for weeks, building up to jogging and then running that will give you great cardio and lose weight then I incorporated the rowing machine to tone everything up and now a year later I do everything in the gym

Why do all these instruction videos show a different way to each other lol I think I nailed my technique and then they do it slightly different. How do I know I'm doing the strokes right and actually targeting my core?

Rowing is the same back exercise as a seated row, so it’s impossible for the lats/back not to be engaged when riding 🤔
