Dan Lok Confidence comes from competence, and competence is built with confidence, a circle that only gets to open to you when your attitude is the one you describe. Let yourself fail, only from failure we learn and grow. You are successful because you failed so many times, not because you always succeeded. The thing is learning to trust the fact that failure is an option, what is not an option is not learning from it. My grandpa used to say “if you don’t fail you are not doing anything worth doing, but if you always fail, then you are not learning from your mistakes, and that is worse than failing.”
I enjoy your videos and have found good tidbits is wisdom in them, thank you.

Dan Lok You are so clear and inspirational. Its difficult to think that you were shy and couldnt communicate in english, cause now you are very confident and speak very good english. It would be very nice to have you as a mentor, but we are just too far away. Is it a way to make it long distance mentorship? I hope one day I can go to Canada and get to know you, even for a moment. Greetings from Chile.

what i have learned from my experience as an ex-social anxiety disorder patient is that not having confidence or anxiety or shyness is nothing but fear based on the past experience and the one and only way to get over fear is to get more exposed to that fear until it becomes normal for us to face it.

Dan I was that invisible person all the way in the back of the class, that one person that no one even knew existed. I developed mimicking others at a very young age because of this, and as I went through the last years of high school I could meet anyone and have a connection just because I was afraid of being different and not being accepted. It naturally grew on me and I dont do it in a bad way but I learned from it and started to do me, act like what im really like, myself personally. I have been learning about myself discovering how im actually naturally act, its funny cause its like im meeting myself for the first couple of times. I have confidence now to go in and speak with anyone, after all if your in business its a must have skill otherwise you dont sell, you dont generate relationships and you can never succeed.

What helps me is always realizing this is my one chance, I benefit in no ways from being unmotivated, underconfident, and low energy, and I think about maximizing results. Mentally calm yourself down a little bit in tense situations and get used to handling them with experience and you will see definite growth.

In high school, I never made eye contact with anyone, I sat alone at lunch, and basically bolted out of the classroom once class ended. I always looked down as I was so unconfident. Dan, I learnt a lot from this video, and I deduced so many insights & principles from it.
Financial Intelligence & Personal Development = Competence in Anything You do = Confidence.
More Competence with Constant Repetition/Consistency = More Confidence.
More Confidence = More & More Competence.
More Confidence = Ability to start all over again from Zero and succeed in any setting/environment If you suddenly Crash Because the Confidence & Competence was not gotten by Default/Luck but by a Design properly mastered(and can be replicated).
Am holding this Principles Dear to my Heart & Mind.
Thanks a Million Dan, You're impacting lives. Am learning a Lot from your Wealth of Knowledge You dish out.

Dan Lok is a fucking awesome mentor/ guru/teacher/ sifu on closing sales. His expertise initially was on closure of sales and how to close a deal with prospects. It is all about making a sale. I start came into Dan Lok a number of years and soon after due to some crisis, i stopped subscribing. But now i am back in this year 2019. The last time i heard was he regret that he did not spent time enough for his dad in H.K despite he got an apartment for his dad. That was the saddest time for him and i can empathise him, but i understood also it wasn't the right time either. Anyway i watch Dan grow from confidence to confidence, sometimes i still using lots of vulgarities are part and parcel of the conifence that built along with experience that come from it. Whatever it is how some people may look at it, bad or good... I still think and I know Dan is still one of the best. That is why i put my comment here

When I was young I looked around thinking why are my peers confident/appear confident and I am not? I realised they were pretending a lot. I did want to get the real thing, not the pretend. So, intuitively I went with competence as a foundation and I put myself in situations I didn't like/was afraid of. Now, I look around and I built confidence on that and my peers are insecure. Glad that I didn't go with the pretend option. If you are shy/not confident that is good, because you can only improve. Small steps as Dan said here are enough to build it up.

Yeap a clear voice does inspire more confidence in oneself, and also to the listener. Knowledge also inspires more confidence. The more you know AND understand (you might know, but not understand a lick of it haha) about a particular subject the more you can speak about it and hence the greater confidence you will have. Also eye contact is very important. Many people speak and look at the floor, or out the window. Look your audience in the eye! Arrest their attention. It lets them know that you have interest in them. For guys trying to date a girl don't look down at her chest. Look her straight in the eye. You are more likely to land a second date. Enough said.

Now I starting to see and slowly understand the words.. the quote "Boss in the Bentley" in 1 of your video. You're so BOSS and you're confident level I think makes you feel like there's nothing you can't do or achieve. Nothing seems impossible to you Boss.

    You make me laugh....😂
    In the GOOD way.
The way you emphasize your message with oozing confidence.
I'm grew up in Denmark but became an adult in south Africa and are back living in Denmark now.
We have something called "jante loven" (the "law" of jante)
The 10 commandments go like this:
You're not to think you are anything special
You're not to think you are as good as we are
You're not to think you are smarter than we are
You're not to convince yourself that you are better than we are
You're not to think you know more than we do
You're not to think you are more important than we are
You're not to think you are good at anything
You're not to laugh at us
You're not to think anyone cares about you
You're not to think you can teach us anything
I'm so glad today that I became a man in South Africa and not in Denmark.
I would love to cruise Copenhagen with you and show them that they are wrong.
    You rock......😉
PS: Are you coming to Denmark?

It took me a very long time to develop confidence.
Also I’m a very long way away from being where I want to be . But heading in the right direction.
First I subscribed to your channel. I want to learn , period !
I started a videography company and wanted to learn how to sell myself. I saw your channel watched a couple videos. Saw you seemed like a straight shooter, so I subscribed.
Thanks brother! No question just thanks !

And want to learn, I didn't how to listen that long to want to subscribe to your channel (You are one of the best) I can tell when you tell the story about your life - you kept learning and learning and didn't stop. You have some great mentors that help you alone the way. Now you are so great now - and I believe nothing will stop you. And that was great, great love you show your Mom, you are the best son ever, I would have love to have you as a son. You really loved your mom to not want her to suffer with bill's etc.... You know what I mean, much love
Ps. Thank you for helping me and everyone else that listens to all your video's we needed, these lessons to grow and better our selves

You inspire me Dan, I 'm the one that never feel confident when I speak English even if I live in UK . I 'm originally from Thailand.
My bad working experience in UK make me feel a bit uncomfortable speaking English.
I really want to get it over this.
