Moscow shopping centers are crowded at the end of the working day from about 17:00 to 22:00, especially on Friday night or on weekends. It is also worth adding that many people, including me, have stopped visiting shopping centers, as now everything can be bought online, without leaving home, on the websites of the same stores that are presented in shopping centers or on marketplaces WB and Ozon
yeah no. This is not normal and no, russians are not different from other Europeans, so largest mall in Moscow being soo empty indicates seruious problem. Fact, that Putin wants armistice, despite fact, he did not achieve single goal in Ukraine yet his army is still slowly advancing, supports theory that Russians are out of money. This is not good situation at all, because if Russia will lose war over Ukraine, inevitable collapse would destroy this last barricade against american imperialism.
This is very different to the image that my country of Australia and our media (which includes The Guardian and BBC) depicts. My view of Russia has been that there is just muddy paths, everyone afraid and under control, and almost a post nuclear war zone atmosphere with hackers everywhere. This image that I see here is very different. The more I see actual footage the more I feel as I have been duped.

The cleanlinss, safety and prosperity of the gas and oil elite in Moscow and St Pertersburg is measured in the sacrifice of millions of poverty stricken Russians in the rest of Russia, the 750, 000 Russian military casualties and the human rights of Ukrainians.

100% agree on this one. London is a pithole with rubbish people brought together from all around the world, Russia is a paradise land and always will be. Don't get me started on British way of doing things, opposite of what sanely thinking people would do. 😮Like why would you import all kinds of people and thus destroy fully your own culture in your fatherland. Is that what your forefathers fought for? Baffles my mind
Sanctions haven't hurt Russia much, they've been used to them for decades at this point. All the sanctions do is hurt the rest of Europe, particularly the EU countries.
Never seen anything like you’re describing on the BBC to be honest. The sanctions are about the invasion of Ukraine and so we’re more than willing to put up with the slight and temporary inconvenience in the EU. Most people in the comments seem to have a very exaggerated view of the way Russia is portrayed - we’re not idiots and we’re quite aware of where sanctions are hitting and where they are not. They are not aimed at “normal’ Russian people. Also the reason many companies have left Russia is because of a moral choice - not to cause financial harm. Not many companies want to deal with a country whose government is continually threatening the world with nuclear annihilation.

In Russia, the largest marketplace is Wildberries, which is larger than Ozon. Wildberries has more sellers from different countries, so the competition is higher. In the world ranking, Wildberries ranks 9th, and Ozon ranks 10th.
@watcher360 I don't use Wildberries. They charge money for shipping, for refunds, and who knows what else. In addition, scandals with employees regularly arise. I prefer Ozon.
@@NatalyCrowley I prefer Wildberries because I have never encountered what you wrote. When returning a quality product, I was charged a 50-cent commission. Perhaps the fee has increased, but this is the buyer's responsibility, as they chose the wrong item and returned it despite the product being of good quality. If the product is defective or the wrong item was delivered, no commission will be deducted, and you will be fully reimbursed for your expenses. Most Russians buy from Wildberries because of the excellent service, large selection of goods, and lower prices. Wildberries is larger than Ozon because it has more clients. Moscow itself is a huge city. Everything is huge here, including the shops. We don't have dense buildings, like in China, for example, there is a lot of land, there is room to grow 😂
Moscow is constantly growing, absorbing the nearest cities and towns. This process has been going on since the founding of Moscow. Borovitsy village was located next to the Kremlin, and one of the Kremlin towers, Borovitskaya, as well as a street and a metro station, are named after it. There are many examples, during its existence Moscow has absorbed several hundred (!!!) the nearest villages. The growth process is still ongoing, and Moscow has recently expanded tens of kilometers to the south, joining several districts of the Moscow region.

The cleanlinss, safety and prosperity of the gas and oil elite in Moscow and St Pertersburg is measured in the sacrifice of millions of poverty stricken Russians in the rest of Russia, the 750, 000 Russian military casualties and the human rights of Ukrainians.
Hope when you move there you enjoy having your name added to the conscription list, or do think you're above that sort of thing? you think you're special and should get to live there but not have the same responsibilities as Russians?
BBC would never show this they want us to believe Russia is dirty and people are completely broke and can't get stuff due to sanctions but that's a description of us in the UK 😂😂😂😂😎
I was going to say that is what the UK is like recently.

If you'll come to Moscow, buy goods on Ozon. It's much cheaper.
In Russia, the largest marketplace is Wildberries, which is larger than Ozon. Wildberries has more sellers from different countries, so the competition is higher. In the world ranking, Wildberries ranks 9th, and Ozon ranks 10th.
@watcher360 I don't use Wildberries.

Moscow is constantly growing, absorbing the nearest cities and towns. This process has been going on since the founding of Moscow.
