      Come here on 30-31 of December, this shopping mall will be absolutely full of people, massive crowds. Or every day in evening, especially on weekends. This shopping mall is always overcrowded. I go there on DDX fitness almost everyday. Once I found 5000 roubles on the flour, somebody lost, and I had great dinner with sushi for free and 4000 roubles change 😂

      Doesn't look like it. I am surprised of how many businesses have English names, though I have never heard of them in USA. Btw, "Scalpers" would be a terrible name for a business in USA. That name has a bad connotation in the US.

    To start with, in Russia, Christmas is in early January, not December, so the time for this place to be packed hasn't arrived yet... so that tells its own tale about the effect of Western sanctions.
    Also, one really shouldn't expect those sanctions to have any effect on inventory levels, since the West stopped manufacturing goods a long time ago. Russia has a huge manufacturing base of its own, and produces more than enough of its own food and manufactured goods. It's also on very friendly terms with China, which manufactures the majority of the goods that are in the West, so the sanctions are meaningless in that respect.
    What the sanctions have done is weaken the West as it has increased their energy costs, and prompted a lot of countries to dump the US Dollar as their medium of international trade

    • @sadclown6595
      @sadclown6595 5 часов назад +2

      Not entirely true about Christmas. In Russia, Christmas is not the main holiday, but a church holiday; it is practically not celebrated, unlike the New Year.

      Never seen anything like you’re describing on the BBC to be honest. The sanctions are about the invasion of Ukraine and so we’re more than willing to put up with the slight and temporary inconvenience in the EU. Most people in the comments seem to have a very exaggerated view of the way Russia is portrayed - we’re not idiots and we’re quite aware of where sanctions are hitting and where they are not. They are not aimed at “normal’ Russian people. Also the reason many companies have left Russia is because of a moral choice - not to cause financial harm. Not many companies want to deal with a country whose government is continually threatening the world with nuclear annihilation.

      @watcher360 18 часов назад +1

      @@NatalyCrowley I prefer Wildberries because I have never encountered what you wrote. When returning a quality product, I was charged a 50-cent commission. Perhaps the fee has increased, but this is the buyer's responsibility, as they chose the wrong item and returned it despite the product being of good quality. If the product is defective or the wrong item was delivered, no commission will be deducted, and you will be fully reimbursed for your expenses. Most Russians buy from Wildberries because of the excellent service, large selection of goods, and lower prices. Wildberries is larger than Ozon because it has more clients. This marketplace has the most extensive network of warehouses, which covers the entire territory of Russia and several neighboring countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan).

    Всем иностранцам привет из России. Я Русский, родом из Сибири - Томск, нынче проживаю в Краснодаре у черного моря. Я очень люблю свою страну без всяких преувеличений, несмотря на санкции и войну - со своими сложностями в экономике, посещая разные города и регионы и далеко не столичные - я не вижу нигде каких либо проблем с наполнением начиная от продуктов заканчивая техникой и чем либо еще. Да, Китай сыграл большую роль импортозамещения санкицонных товаров, но у меня нету никаких претензий к их товару, разве что заполонившие мою страну китайские авто, пожалуй они должны пройти 2-3 модернизации своих линеек чтобы адаптироваться под местный климат и прочие работы над ошибками. Тем не менее езжа постоянно в такси - их у нас очень много Jeely , Omoda , Zeekr и тд - они выглядят прикольно. Мне даже кажется, если санкции затянутся я предпочту мерседесу какой нибудь Hongqi H9, их стиль мне очень нравится. В общем - как говорится, все что не убивает делает нас сильнее. Если сейчас и есть некие издержки с тем или иным в плане качества или незначительно, но возросшей цены - все это рано или поздно будет преодолено. Да у нас не будут гей браков как в Европе или еще каких "крутых" нововведений ( сарказм ) , но я уверен что тот путь по которому мы идем семимильными шагами заставит ту же европу и америку позавидовать, не через 10 лет, так через 20 и так далее.
