If people who are leaving don’t tell you why they are leaving, then you cannot reflect on your actions and do better in the future.
I not sure that was (or usually is) their motivation. It’s more like the social media version of slamming the door.

I have another take on that. I stopped my Patreon support of Jake over at Canadian Cutting Edge, and I never told him why. I didn’t unsubscribe, and I still watch most of his videos. He’s a super nice guy, and a Christian, and he’s a huge resource in the knife community for budget knives. I love his channel. So what was my beef? Many months ago, out of the blue, he posted a video where he was reading a script and he labeled himself a racist for atrocities against indigenous people of Canada. I know he’s not a racist, and he knows he’s not a racist. But I choose not to support someone who is a racist and I won’t support a non-racist who feels the need to spew politically correct, dishonest nonsense for no reason. It’s irrational, and just pours grist into the mill of the leftists. I didn’t tell him, because I don’t NEED to tell him. He made the decision to post the video, I made the decision to take him at his word.
@@SurvivalOnPurposeI think it depends on how you react to it. You can take it as a disrespectful, somewhat childish door slam. Or you can do what you're doing where you learned that your viewer base aren't fans of the click bait stuff.
Everyone is so on edge and polarized. Most people just see a title and knee-jerk react instead of taking the time to watch. Keep up the great work Brian.

You are doing fine - I've never seen anything that would cause me to unsubscribe from you. I've had some who unsubscribe because I'm Catholic and my response to that is a quote from Will Rogers "Its not what you know that gets you in trouble, but rather what you don't know yet think is so". All have perceptions and no knowledge and their perceptions aren't based on facts.
Murder is illegal. Evil will always find a way to kill.
More laws will not help but punish law abiding citizens.
Brian... I am your age + another 13 years. So, I do remember the divisiveness caused by the civil rights issues in the 60's. The furor surrounding the upcoming national election seems IMHO to be just as great, or greater. What seems different to me is the current "shoot to kill" attitude which you mentioned. I sometimes think of it as "shoot from the hip". I don't remember that in the 60"s. Now, we have people willing to commit murder over a disputed parking spot, road rage, and other petty issues. We seem to also have more criminals willing to kill for very small amounts of money or plunder. Then, we have some who will murder indiscriminately, driven by only personal rage...a form of a temper tantrum. It is a troubling time for our nation. I'm subscribed, imagine I will stay that way, unless you forget your Southern Roots and Culture.
Bryan, I don't think you did anything wrong in that video.. people are lazy and don't want to wait for the outcome . If they unsubscribed it is their loss. They missed out on many great videos and you do not need those ignorant comments anyway.

I don't feel it was a mistake, this is your channel not theirs, besides it weeds out the weak and keeps the strong, you can't cater to everyone, you made the video for a reason, I myself have many haters but I speak the truth, you do you and I'll keep watching and spreading the algorythm.... But if we learn from our mistakes, we can move forward with greater clarity of thought. Bryan, I love your Sharp Saturday videos! I always looked forward to them. That being said, anytime politics come into play there are consequences both good and bad. It's your channel do what you feel you need to do. On the subject of arming teachers, I think its a bad idea. I taught school for years and have been a shooter for over 50 years. Teachers have enough responsibility and liability put on them, let alone carrying weapons. Schools have plenty of funding to spend on "stupid" things, use some of that money to hire professional security. As teacher i would flat out refuse to carry a weapon and i am 2A to the bone. Teachers aren't security guards and would not be granted immunity if something unforseen happened. I cant see this as a good idea. Love your channel and blessings to you!

I never even saw this video. Had i seen the title, i suspect i would known you were speaking tongue in cheek. Its the same way i tend to think.
My idea of gun law reform is to repeal gun laws. Violent felons should be restricted is the only law needed. I will never unsubscribe over a title without reading the content. Our answer to any gun problems here is called Constitutional Carry. Our homes, schools and churches are protected by law abiding, responsible gun owners. I subscribe to your channel mainly for the knife content and of course, Chuck Norris facts. Keep’em coming and I’ll keep watching.

I recall this video. I’m still subscribed but I also determined before I started watching that I would hear you out. In the end I agree with your assertions. It might be because we’re the same age
ive been around your channel for 8 or 10 years. i found you as i was looking foe a good headlight and watching reviews. i eventually set on a fenix hp30 like i said 8 or 10 years ago. i still have that light and it still works fine. i use it camping and the batteries still hold a charge very well. i use it around the campsite then leave it on its lowest setting all night as a nightlight for the kids. only problem is the wire from the battery pack to the head lamp is coming apart. not the wires just the shrink wrap or whatever that holds the positive and ground together. because that light has done me so well that is the brand i now go with for a light source, my wife is a mail carrier and i got her a fenix headlight also put its a self contained head lamp with 1 larger battery in the light itself. she needs it during winter and especially November and December she can often be out till 9 or 10 pm delivering packages.
Enjoyed this video, as I usually do with all your work. & I appreciate your willingness to include your audience as you learn& grow. I also applaud your efforts at the Christian ethic of turning your cheek maybe be cause I find it difficult to do myself much of the time. Bless you & your efforts to make the world a better place.
Ive been a subscriber for many many years now. I cant recall any soecific events where i disagreed with your opinion. If i were to find something, then I know that such is the beauty of our lovely country. We can have our differences and still be friends. Yet, sadly, in todays world everyone appears to be on this "my way or the highway" kick and it doesnt do us any good as a society. We need to get back to being able to have decent conversations with each other and realizing that we can compromise on many things where we all give a little and all win a little. I hope you continue to do well in all your endeavors in life. Thanks for including scripture as well!
Iowa now allows specially trained and licensed school employees to carry on campus,and drivers who keep one in their vehicle or are wearing it on them are allowed to keep it where it is in the vehicle while it is on school property. for example parents picking up or dropping off students do not have to move it or leave it at home whendriving to the school

My friend thanks for share your video. Keep going with your channel. The most important thing about guns is education and training. Well educated people in how to use the guns safely with response is everything. If one country teach from young age how to use guns and everything involved this country don't have any issues with guns because they know exactly what happens if something goes wrong.
Always the same issue the problem is the man kind it self from the beginning not the guns. You can use a stone as a weapon or you can build a house.
The key for everything EDUCATION!! And that's why it's very important your channel.

I think you make a lot of good points! Most of the argument I hear is how other countries do it like Canada and UK 1 they don’t report the shooting as much or at all on this side of pond! 2 ask we the people feel about not having guns to protect us and if you don’t protect that right it’s 10 times as hard to get back. There are tons of handguns and unregistered guns in Canada but it’s the bikers and the others that don’t follow laws that have nothing to loose like a house wife and or child that can’t protect them from the guys with nothing to loose. I’m told here in Canada if I have a problem or I’m in trouble call 911 and wait and watch the people hurt your family and destroy your stuff you work hard for because if you defend yourself the courts will take away the rest of your stuff and put you in jail so the guys that don’t follow laws can go hug wild on your family and stuff and beat the crap out of you in jail because you did what ever man dose from birth is protect ones me love that the divide men afraid to protect there families are hiding behind manners and laws until it’s there family that gets put into grinder

One issue is many people don't really know the Bible or they are hostile to it for various reasons.
Don't let people's actions. Control what you say or feel. I believe in red flag laws. That we have currently. I also don't have a problem with a no gun list. Like our no fly list. Some people shouldn't have guns. And if you're an anti gunner, you should have your guns removed and be put on a no gun list. That way, you can practice what you preach. I enjoy your channel. There are a lot of angry people in this country, especially since Covid. And yes we are extremely divided. I blame so much of our problems on politicians and the news media. You will never keep all your subscribers happy, too many girly boys out there need to man up and listen to opposing ideas without getting their feelings hurt. I do like the hat !
The phrase "constitutional carry" reflects the fact that the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution does not allow restrictions on gun rights, including the right to carry or bear arms. Right?

If our citizens dont have guns, we cant stop from being invaded by other countries, it has happened in history, also all we have to do is keep guns away from mentally challenged or unstable people who could be harmful to others. Also if someone believes in God they know the ten commandments, which is basically a list of rules showing people how to be a good person. With these values in our children and the people of our country i bet crime and harm to others would almost cease to exist.
Digging a little deeper on your second item, it’s not so much that people don’t like being fooled, it’s that people don’t EXPECT to be fooled by YOU. You’re always a straight shooter (no pun intended) so when you step out of that box, post a click-bait title, and wait until the middle of a video to do your “reveal” it’s already too late. You hurt their pride. Instead of giving you a knowing nod and a sly smile to say, “Ahhhh. You got me!” they get ticked off and bail. That’s on them.
Unlike Wranglerstar, you aren’t a liar. He lost a ton of subscribers because he was disingenuous and deceptive and flat out lied. But he was also famous for click-bait titles and sucking people into 22-minutes videos while they waited for the reveal. So it’s expected on his channel. And you can’t really criticize his choices when he became a millionaire through RUclips. But that doesn’t mean what he does is right.

Hey Brian, have you ever looked into the Russian gun laws ? The are actually much better than our. And make a lot of sense . Americans could benefit with similar laws.
I did look into them just so I could respond somewhat intelligently to your comment, even though I have a hard time imagining any "gun laws" I can get behind.. And, as I suspected, they are just another strategy to control the citizenry. The only gun "regulation" I support is "The right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"
There I said it you didn’t have to big guy I’m Canadian and I hate that I can’t defend myself or have a choice there taking away our choice if they don’t want a gun, fine don’t get one but don’t tell me bad guys don’t have guns! Guns are here and we can’t put the dragon back in the bottle.
