    The funniest part about the Shakespearian Sonnets scene is that Sir Patrick Steward is an accomplished Shakespearian Actor. He delivers the lines in wonderfully cringeworthy fashion in the scene, however, he's known for delivering those same lines with true dramatic style when he's actually in the plays quoted. He was hamming it up brilliantly for comedic effect in that scene.

    • @GrouRocks

      @@GrouRocks Indeed. The whole stuffy, serious deliveries didn't become common until the mid to late 1800's. There were a few exceptions, like Hamlet and Macbeth, for instance, but more than 2/3 of the Shakespeare Catalog are hammy and comedic.

    This was, for me, the funniest exchange in the entire series. Worf and Odo are hanging out in the space station K9's bar:
    Worf: They were once considered mortal enemies of the Klingon Empire.
    Odo: This? A mortal enemy of the Empire?
    Worf: They were an ecological menace, a plague to be wiped out.
    Odo: (aghast) Wiped out? What are you saying?
    Worf: Hundreds of warriors were sent to track them down throughout the galaxy. An armada obliterated the Tribbles’ homeworld. By the end of the twenty third century they had been eradicated.
    Odo: Another glorious chapter of Klingon history. Tell me, do they still sing songs of the great tribble hunt?

    While loaded with good "fish out of water" comedy, Star Trek 4's best scene for me was when Checkov and Uhura are asking police officers and random people on the street where they can find nuclear wessels... the fact that Checkov overly emphasizes "wessels" made it even better.

      @@johntracy72 It was a real cop, and by production rules he couldn't say anything. The guy was literally there to keep bystanders from walking into the scene while the filming was going on. Tribbles were wiped out by the Klingons or as the story goes. That's why they don't appear anymore. The DS9 episode went back in time and it is said that the Klingons hunted them all down. IDK how true it is but it's what I remember.

    you forgot the scene where riker is drinking out of the captains fish tank and picard says will do you understand what it is i am saying and riker growls and throws picards laptop at him. thats pure lack of worker satisfaction with his job kinda humor. a classic example of why they have counselors in star fleet probably

    I thought you were setting up "Double dumbass on you". Admittedly ST4 is loaded with good gags. What about Data and Mr.Tricorder? Data had lots of laughs. Also like the episode where Scotty is getting drunk and someone ask what he's drinking. Pauses....look as the flask unknowing... "it's green".

      @dragonrune2257 2 года назад +4

      ST4- where McCoy cures the wheelchair-bound lady and the doctors are incredulous wondering how it happened.
      TNG when Data was serving from behind the 10 Forward bar- he is holding a glass container with a green liquid. He was asked, "What [liquor] is that?" Data looks at it, smells it, answers, "It's ... Green." A great throwback!

      Interesting trivia, the punk on the bus, that SPock does the neck pinch on, was actually a producer on the movie. (watch the end credits - Producer: Kirk Thatcher, and "Punk on Bus": Kirk Thatcher.

    Yes because it makes it so much better hearing you narrate it as we watch the scenes vs maybe summarizing first then showing it with its audio . This is why I don’t watch the Mojo vids either and people have to agree with me. Drives me insane .

    I REALLY want another Star Trek show that takes place in the same timeframe as STNG. Just a completely different ship and crew with no crossover characters from STNG. Hell. Make it a few ships and crews and swap between them every few months then bring them together now and again with 2 to 4 part episode arcs. Swap with other races as well to really mix things up. It's more of a collected adventures from around the ST Universe rather than a single main cast. No need to even mention the Enterprise or it's crew. The Enterprise wouldn't be this mythic ship with a legendary crew to the rest of Starfleet. Just the flagship. It's not like every Captain and crew meets all the other crews or even talks about them very often if at all. Take my money......
