I have a lonstanding very high respect for good, quality engineering and modern mountain bikes have a lot of that and keep developing and evolving. Together with that, the prices of the better mountain bikes climbing anywhere from $4,000 to $12,000, etc. is a big negative that can be turned into a positive with a different direction and focus on the engineering. Do I have the answer? No. Do you? I hope it's a real, practical answer. These expensive bikes cost as much as new motorcyles or used cars. While a new engineering/cost strategy appears, Fezzari is the best VALUE equation in the market and I treasure VALUE as an efficiency measure of great engineering. Check their website. Their individual bicycle fitting and their bike selections are top notch. And, no, I don't work for them. I am working on my budget to acquire this exact bike as it is my favorite after many months of reading hundreds of reviews.
