I’m always so relieved Chino’s throat healed; his voice is such a balm for any ailment.
This album holds a special place in my heart. Not only is it a masterpiece, it was released on the same day my first son was born. Because of COVID, they wouldn’t let me in the hospital for the first 5 hours of my wife’s labour because they didn’t have enough rooms to admit her. I sat in my car nervous, excited and angry all at the same time. I listened to this album on repeat until my wife got a room and they let me in. Thank you Deftones for consistently getting me through some of the biggest challenges in my life.

I’m really happy to hear Deftones are doing something. Because I haven’t been waiting for four years to listen to new Deftones, I have a life you know. There’s more going on than Deftones. Just the other day I was Deftoneing at the Deftones and I Deftoned.
The 80's synth wave, Cyberpunk feel is so good, Deftones makes you feel like your floating through the actual ether of existence while transcending space and time.
Still absolutely loving this track 3 months after the release. Bro, these dudes are all in their late 40’s and they continue to release hard-hitting songs/albums. What the fuck more could you want from these guys? This shit is prime Deftones, and they’ve been doing this for 30 years. I don’t wanna hear any complaints about “Ohms”. White Pony came out 2 months before my mom died. Ohms came out 4 months after I became a mother to my first daughter. Listening to these lyrics, I can feel the pain of 20 years ago balance itself with the joy of the present. Thank you guys for being there for me throughout the worst and best days of my life.

Love Diamond Eyes as I do with every Tones release but its overrated in the grand scheme of things Koi No Yokan was a better record. 👍
As a teenager, I identified with their sound and it helped me with my grief and anger. I'm 30 now and this is helping me identify with other emotions such as growth, balance, and acceptance. My whole life I have been in a constant cycle of abuse from my alcoholic mother that I've finally started to notice it and break it the past few years. It's not easy but as always, Deftones is there.

dont expect that sound at all. Its really good tho. If I had to make comparisons id say tone and style its very much like diamond eyes or koi no yokan records which I think is great! Now to compare to a song from one of those its very much in the vein of poltergeist as far as the way chino does a TON of that scream/yell thing he does on the verses. Overall fans are going to dig it! Chorus wasn't my favorite ever but need time to let it marinate! Im pumped because the first single worried me they were ditching the sounds they cultivated on DE and KNY but thats def not the case. It seems we are in for quite a diverse record!

Deftones somehow manages to stay deep in their roots after more than two decades and still keep it fresh. With other bands you can tell their core sound starts to drift after a while... deftones goes even deeper. Legends

Definitely, it seems like most bands from all over the alt rock umbrella in the nineties have been selling out, but these guys know how to keep it fresh while retaining that classic sound (trying to forget about Gore though)
@@dougdelyser2734 Gore is kind of underwhelming when you consider just how good literally every other album is. Even still, if that it is to be their worse album they're still killing it. Can still find lots to like on that album, just maybe not as much compared to the rest.

I think Deftones is the only band I that I've continuously listened to since middle school up to now a 31yo
I discovered Deftones at 10 years old when DBZ released a movie that featured “Change”. I used them as my guide to heavy music, and they’ve been one of my favorites ever since. My brother took me to my first concert 4 years later, I got to see them play at Family Values along with many others. I am fucking stoked that I can sit here at 28 years old with this absolute slapper of a song, and hearing my 6 year old daughter tell me she wants her first concert to be Deftones. A whole generation later. 🤘🏻

I have to comment again after actually listening. My best friend took his own life in January. Every time I’ve seen Deftones it’s been with him. He took me to my first Deftones show. I remember when Diamond Eyes came out and how much it meant to both of us to fall in love with that album like we had ones before. The first single on this album about killed me ... the lyrics felt like I was talking to him/writing to him. This one just gives me goosebumps. I feel him listening to this album as it slowly releases with me and I know he’d love it too. This album means everything to me this year. A devastating year that’s just about destroyed me. I just needed this. Thank you.

This is probably among their 5 all-time best songs. It's certainly my new favorite, and Ohms altogether is certainly 2020's best album.
They are so patient in writing, the songs come out so slowly, so smoothly, yet powerfully.. the energy they hold back, is so big. And they only let so much loose at once, it always leaves me wanting more when it's over.

Is it just me. Or does this song have a surprisingly uplifting message. And less wallowing feel like deftones before? I love deftones but I had to limit my intake cause it always made me fixated on wallowing because of how intense the lyrics were emotionally. But this song seems like its about finally breaking through. And finally seeing a whole new side to life you never knew existed. Which I have personally just went through in a way, And this song is fucking great timing. I HAVE FINALLY ACHIEVED.... BALANCE. its like a song about victory and im fucking stoked for the whole new album and how much they have grown. For those who are experiencing intense depression, low self esteem and feel stuck... The Anxious Insomniacs You can clearly hear the influence, the lead singer of Deftones even copies ALOT of Deftones’ lead singer, Chino Morenos vocals. I don’t see how Deftones hasn’t sued Deftones for kicking their style.

This album has been a medicine for me.
Hearing this premiere on a home theater system has been the closest I've gotten to a live show all year.
