The Benchmade 710 magnacut hrc is a typo its 60-62. The s90v 710 is 59-61, so im pretty sure they made a mistake and listed the s90v hrc for the magnacut version.
Yes MC im praying protech will drop some dark angels. I've been wanting one for over 2 years now. There's not many single action otf's on the market and I love that classic look that the dark angel has. The paragon already sold out except the blue serrated and red blade versions.
Mordax is what really got me into thinking about knives, and started me down this path. When the latest version was announced for mass distribution I checked BHQ everyday for about 13 months until I was able to get my hands on one. When my son was born (we had a home birth) I used my Mordax to cut the cord.
Asheville steel and Microtech are about 15-20 minutes from each other. The small shops that sell microtech here also sell Paragon. I have one line the one you bought somewhere.
I love my EXO-U and have no issue with the price for what you get. I am disappointed that NO brand of blade will fit that I've tried. Are there any blades at all that fit besides the Woodpecker Chinese blades that you cannot buy here???
I believe the Boker Auto Kwaikens are actually the same exact model as the Protech Kwaiken since Protech is the OEM of the Boker variant. I think they are just listed as Boker/Protech Kwaiken typically but BladeHQ just listed them as Boker for some reason.
End if the button lock thing....lol. i just got Biophase on National Knife Day! I started digging flipper button locks with Spartan Blades Pallas. I love Vosteed Raccoon and Conspirator so Biophase was a no brainer
I just got mt boker kwaiken in magnacut in today. Mostly happy with it. No lock stick. Passed my spine wack test only slightly more aggressive then yours. But omg. dullest knife I have ever received. It was literally unsharpened. Flat like a butter knife. Took me an hour to get an edge on it with my lansky diamond rods but Jesus christ.

@Metal_complex Which Dark Angel are you looking for? I think I may have one somewhere I think it's the Dark Angel Steel Custom with the Black/ Pearl and with the 3.7″ Damascus blade. I know it was expensive.
Unfortunately, I've had a paragon estilleto and it was very clunky. Retracting the blade is a bit of a pain and as a result the spring is pretty weak since you couldn't retract it otherwise...just buy a Hydra if you want a single action otf

I bought a paragon at the most recent Atlanta blade show bc I’ve been enamored with them since the Dark Knight. But I would never carry it and I got it just for fun.
Swear to God I read that the same way on the Para x description. We are the same age and we both added a new baby recently that wasn't our first kid. That's the explanation I'm going with hahaha
P.s. if you see this isn't it a blast getting under some heavy ass weight when you're so sleep deprived constantly question myself until that weight gets unracked then it's just business as usual. But that first rep of that first set of that first exercise......😵💫
Think twice about the Lum…I love Spyderco knives (have over 30) but this will never join my collection. Got my hands on one Thursday at the BHQ store in PG and it feels like really poor quality. Does not feel like a $250 Spyderco! I’ve got a $50 Tenacious that feels better than this.
Anyone know if you can buy the tanto blade for the OG Exo separately? I'm too lazy to look it up myself. 😀 I've already got the knife, but having that blade would be nice.
Benchmade does their magnacut at 60-62 so they weren't that far off. Could be 59-61 because its a coated blade which would lower hardness unless you account for it ahead of f time. Can't believe benchmade charges $600 for that. Used to be a great company when Bugout dropped and before. Since then they're 💩. Glad i have a bunch of older benchmades from the good ol days.
No benchmade you pay for name, it’s not the materials anymore so even if they made it in d2 and plastic scales they would still charge 400$ , it’s called greed
Gravity knives are not cool, the blade play on them suck , it’s like comparing a 1940’s wind up toy against an electronic doc pet , gravity knives are so simple that not one of them should be over 50$ and that’s with the best materials possible because let’s just be serious for a minute, gravity as an opener??? No thought went into that whatsoever
You need to try the Reate Exo U. I would imagine older gravity knives are as bad as you say, but modern ones like the Exo U and RT Swordfish are spectacular
@@metal_complex I feel like it’s a fad like those round folding knives you turn to lock like the opinels that are just simplistic knives and they got popular now they are expensive for no reason other than they were a talking piece but I guess that is important to collectors, I don’t think of myself as a collector, I’m more of sharp pokey hoarder

How about the frame? Think titanium is cheap? (It's not). How about labor and machining costs? Cheap? Not when it's precision. I'm not guessing. The Opinel is cheap because it's cheap to make. That's not a realistic comparison. Same with a lot of the stuff you think is similar to the two knives I've mentioned. There are tiers to this stuff. I have 4000 uploads. Anything you could want to know and it's all sorted into playlusts.

I've handled that one as well. I think the main issue is that it's just huge. This one is much smaller. We'll find out when it arrives
