Benchmade doesnt make a quality knife , the action suck , the material suck ( blade steel is usually good ) , the price is absolutely ABSURD for a what you receive .......... the price is why they get knocked off so much , ppl want to try it before they buy one for 300+ dollars. Therefore Benchmade itself has created the environment that proliferates the counterfeits.

The outrageous price of some knives is the sole reason I look to clones to try them out before I take the plunge, you're right.
More reasonably-priced knives, I have no problem at all buying to try them out.

@@Sanguivore me as well , I'm a man of modest means and even a $100 ask for a blade is a 4 month long savings endeavor for me , so if i can pick up a copy at 15-25 to try before I spend my cash on a real , I will and for me tbh sometimes a copy is all I will ever be able to afford , Medford Praetorian , Spyderco Shaman etc .

Sorry if this is a double reply as I replied before but can’t see it anymore. Try ok-knives.net. They have everything there. Exactly the same knockoff knives. Same quality. Same or better prices. MUCH easier to find! 👍

Benchmade advocates for the "theft" of their products with their outrageous prices that absolutely do *not* reflect the quality or cost of their overhead and a reasonable markup.
If Benchmade stopped being hyped-up tomorrow by all the knife bros, I guarantee you the number of purchases would plummet.
Benchmades are good, sure; but not as good as their price demands and they know that-they get by on pulling the wool over all their cultists who they know will defend them and buy their products no matter how high they push their prices. They're selling you the name more than an actual product, because you can get similar or better products in a much cheaper price-range, but those products don't carry the 'prestige' and the fashion points of having a little butterfly stamped on them.
