- For this audit I collaborated with @NastyNathanial69where we documented outside this bail bonds location. Soon after we began recording , an individual named Roy came outside asking if he could help us? We explained that we were making a video but didn't go into details at that point. After a few more minutes went by with Roy continuing to be cordial with us, Nathanial explained to them that we were doing a First Amendment audit as an exercise of rights. Roy then opened up more about the bail bands industry & his experience in that field over the years. We were invited onto the property to get some better angles of their window displays . Wrapping up the video we gave Abel's Bail Bonds a pass for ultimately respecting our rights in public.

This was a really groovy audit. I have walked by this place so many times and always thought it would make for a groovy audit. The vintage mugshots on display in the window give it a nice touch. I'm glad we met this gentleman as he was more than willing to answer our questions and in doing so, hopefully gives our viewers a different perspective on the bail bonds business.

nothing against the bail bond businesses, but there are no reasonable bails as required by law. people therefore have to have access these businesses no matter the crime

Roy did a good job promoting his business and he didn't care if you video him. His co worker, well, he may be overly cautious but restraining himself well. I just love the mugs on the wall AND how they decorated the store front! I would love to see more of his store's displays each month and they really were creative! I'm sure after this video is aired, he will certainly get more businesses and good reviews from 1A fans.

With some of the reaction you've received, you can't just walk into a business, at least while recording, and then ask them how they feel about it.

If I were in need of a bail bondsman, I probably would not be in the mood to appreciate their beautiful Xmas decorations, but it's nice of them to try to cheer up their customers.

Roy did an amazing job representing the company, very professional. As much as I enjoyed this encounter, if everyone acted like Roy, first amendment audits would probably be boring and useless so im glad some people still act like they do. Keep up the good work and be safe out there.

man, this was so interesting. most ppl talk about how auditors just want reactions but this was so much better than a nasty reaction. reactions come and go and get tiresome real quick but having a conversation like this kept me engaged and for sure if im ever in a bad spot in san diego i know this is who id call for help.

And yes, smart enough to use this opportunity for positive publicity, and we can just tell that they would be super friendly to work with if necessary, with their cordial and professional, even flexible, attitude! I'd use them if they were here in Utah and I got in that sort of situation! (But heaven bless me not to need it, huh? Fingers crossed!) 🎄

So what a great shop guess what I found out YOU DO NOT have to go in person so the fact that they're located in San Diego is a great reason to take a MINI vacation, however take their number and call them anytime

The business made themselves look good by not being insane and being friendly to people on the sidewalk (as is how it SHOULD be). Let's get that straight. Roy knows his rights, but can't know how people will be until he encounters them. Don't mistake this for some supernatural power that Ray MIGHT have. Keep things realistic.

Everything was going smoothly until my sister's husband, who has already lost his sight, fell and fractured his ankle and his arm above the elbow, so they spent the whole day in the ER yesterday and needless to say it put a damper on our family's holiday plans. He'll be in the hospital for the holidays and will most likely end up in a nursing facility for a while for rehabilitation and physical therapy and more physical therapy when he gets back home.

Holy crap, almost $90 a carton, and those "agricultural inspection" stations at the border will catch your contraband.
Good business owner promoting his business. We all can understand why he probably gets good reviews within a broken system. The reason why some court systems have gone away from bail is because there are studies showing that there’s a better way. But I don’t fault this business owner for operating ethically within the nutty system the government set up.

He's a good person, isn't looking to screw others over, but he is looking to help people. If every person acted like this, we would never have a problem with law enforcement. Really sad that the avenue that makes things better is the person AFTER you've been unlawfully arrested. Gratitude and respect to this bails bondsman. He do doing a portion of what should be done. Cops should, in spirit, follow this approach. Sadly I know they will never do this until they are treated as traitors. I am not kidding. LEOS, in general, yes, they now occupy more than 50% of the "problem" that is causing the divide with citizens and the powers that be. No citizens are causing the problem due to them not just "Giving ID" - which is a violation of the 4th amendment. 90% of cops are simply stupid, ignorant, or are intentionally violating the rights of citizens. A lie detector test on every cop (while somewhat cumbersome) each year, with only on question (outside of the baseline questions), "Have you violated anyones constitutional rights?" Would at least weed out an enormous amount of bad cops - unless they're truly psychopaths and can lie while they are clearly wrong.
First Amendment Auditors are like Vampires that can be exposed to sunlight, only going into Private space with an INVITATION.
