I ordered this along with the D1 Pro, RA2 Pro, honeycomb, air pump a few weeks ago, all from X Tool using your discount code. Thank you very much! Just waiting on delivery now!
Sweet!
I just ordered this for my d1 Pro thanks to your review... thank you!
I also wish I could pick the left side for the fan. Right side doesn't work well in my garage.
Watching this video at 2 a.m and laughing by myself. Your funny!
Thanks, homie!
I bought the Xtool. I like how it fits snug. I would say it’s worth the extra $$$.
Just found your channel, and just got an xtool. I was thinking about enclosures and this video helped a lot. Thanks.
Awesome! 👍🏻
Fantastic vid ! I was happy to hear they were making an enclosure. I was very disappointed once it was released though. The fact it's held together with velcro, reminds me of when shoe laces were replaced with velcro. The shoe's just did not look right or fashionable. This enclosure has the same qualities, started out with all the right intentions but fell considerably short of the mark. Xtool prides themselves on fit finish and looking elegant. Trying to keep up with the competion by slopping through and cutting corners is showing with every new release.
The velcro is well done and is very sturdy. You cannot see it once put together. I am very happy with mine. It does the job of extracting smoke and fumes very well.
I love it. The velcro works great.
What do you have against velcro? It goes together and comes apart super quick and easy. I’d rather be able to slap it together without needing screws, nuts, bolts, pegs, etc.
I built my own using Thermopan board but I needed a custom enclosure for 2 machines just an alternative for those looking for Diy or custom setups
I do like that it doesn't have the bar blocking you like the sculpfun. I just wish it was cheaper.
Geez Nick... I've had mine sitting in its box in my kitchen for a month now (I ordered a Creality one while I was waiting for it to show up, and like the extra height that the printer enclosure provides). I would have sent it to you in exchange for that IR laser I'm still waiting for your review on (my IR won't be here until Friday). ;) I guess I'll just save it for the 20w Pro, whenever it makes it up here.
I found the xtool enclosure to not be camera-happy (for Lightburn), and the 3 inch vent isn't very friendly for easy to find fittings (most vents seem to run in a 4 inch or 6 inch variety). I see a lot of people on the FB group are investing in an in-line fan for them, or an upgraded vent fan. Other than that, I'll probably make use of mine with the new laser when I take it to shows and demos.
Side note, hope you're feeling better.
I would have to go with the XTool one, just because it looks more professional, and I have a nearby window to vent it out using the cheap hose it comes with.
I got the xtool enclosure and I love it
Awesome video as always. I’ve only been subbed for a week or two, but really enjoying the channel. I ordered the enclosure yesterday.
Awesome!
And welcome to the Fray!
Subscribed because you're a nut! Keep it up! Was considering building a housing for my laser but like the looks of this one. Thanks for the review.
Sure thing!
Cheers
Quick note: the included fan does have arrows on the side of the frame that indicate the rotation of the blade and the direction of flow. Just make sure to point the arrow AWAY from the housing.
Thank you for this! My device didn't come with any instructions, so I installed the fan incorrectly and couldn't believe how much smoke it generated with the enclosure..
My favorite western movie!! And I'm your huckleberry!!
I've been waiting for a review of the enclosure extension with the extension kit install as well, and what is a good solution for a larger honeycomb
I think they are working on either an "add-on honeycomb" or a honeycomb the size of the extended one...
New subscriber here! Great video 😊😊. I'm just waiting for my new first D1 Pro to arrive. I will be getting this!
Welcome!
I can smell it burning from here, haha.
Would you happen to know how to get this encloser to fit if you have a camera mounted to the machine. Doesn't fit .. Thank you Love your videos
I don’t think it works with a camera.
Nice review, thanks.
They sell extension kits for the laser but to bad they don't sell extension enclosure for it 😞
They do.
If they do that’s awesome as I just ordered the extension
Hey love the video, do I need this if I get air assist?
Yes. They serve different purposes
How does the delivered fan work to remove smoke from the enclosure? Looks like a pretty weak fan.
It sucks the smoke out.
I dont suppose you know if the window protects against the 1064nm infrared laser do you, great vids by the way 👍
I do not think so.
Just came.across your video, you've had this enclosure about a year. What's your thoughts on it now? I just got the xtool d1 pro and looking for an enclosure I have a small apartment I will be working from
Works great
Question: I bought the D1 on prime day last year and can not find power cord. I'm emailed tech support but no response. Have some projects need to work on and wasn't sure if anyone else had run into this...
I think it’s a pretty standard power supply. The exact one would be in their specs.

Awesome. Welcome!
Question about the Creative Space for D1 Pro. Do you know if we can use it for the D1 non pro? Since the enclosure can work for both, I am thinking did they also do the XCS for D1 pro to also work with the older version. Let me know if you find out. Thank you again for all your posts!
I’m fairly positive you can use XCS with the non pro. I think you still have to update firmware with Laserbox Basic
180.00 seems pretty high for what you are getting. Your opinion?
It really is pretty on par for this quality of an enclosure.
Come on xTool, i just got this and it has to vent out the left side. Looks great, but now i cant use it.
I’m not xTool. But thanks for commenting??
You could probably build a wood one, that won't sag over time for less.
Yeah. But who has time for that shit?
Great video, I am currently looking at purchasing this for my D1 Pro along with their fume extractor system as I am working on setting up my laser in my basement. What is your opinion on the xTool fume extractor? The only way to vent outside in my basement is to cut a vent hole and I am not interested in doing that so a filter system is what I am looking at. Also, can't vent through a window as all my basement windows are sealed shut.
I don't know a whole lot about the fume extractor. Wish I had one!
Cheers
@@BuildDadBuild Thanks for the reply, keep up the great laser videos.
Promo code doesn't seem to work fyi.
I’m new to laser engraving. I have a question. Why does my machine move only to the right and left it’s only makes a straight line.
I answered you on IG
I just ordered the D1pro with extenders plus risers and extenders. Now I’m looking at work benches. Do you know approximately how big of a work top I will need? I’m think minimum 24x45. ???
Sounds about right. That’s why I love the husky benches at HD. Most premade benches are 18-20 inches deep but the huskies are 24!👍🏻👍🏻
@Build Dad Build I have 2 husky's and one is 22" the other is 24". Make sure you get the bigger one! Although the xtool still fits on the 22" it's better to have a couple extra inches to work with. That's what my girlfriend tells me at least.
@@BuildDadBuild Thank you! That helps me a lot! I was looking at those Huskys at HD. Now that I know the size, I guess I need to start the laser assembly. Wish me lots of luck!!!
@@brandyproctor7106 good luck!
Can I put a more powerful fan in it ?
Sure
Do you think this would be suitable for an Atomstack P7 M40?
Thanks in advance.
Yes if it fits inside the dimensions.
@@BuildDadBuild Thanks very much for your reply. Really enjoy watching your videos!
how would you compare the AP 4024 to the Thunder Nova 35?
No comparison. APLazer hands down.
Throw a fog machine in there and turn on the fan.
🔥🔥🔥
👍🏻
can you do a video of how to make that flag in the background?
Any flag in the background of any of my videos has a video associated with it.
£150 for a velcro thing wow.. I thought it was atleast metal
The complaint department is xTool.com 👍🏻👍🏻
@@BuildDadBuild I don't get it
Are you sponsored by xTool? Did you buy this with your own money?
Nope. They sent it to me.
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the videos.
Information good and interesting, Introduction and presentation - childish and very irritating. Just give us the facts in a calm friendly and mature way. Bin the rest of the pseudo excitement.
