This is the kind of game I've been searching far and wide for. I've played many RTS and city builder games but I can already tell this will be amazing. Fantastic work, and thanks for always taking your community ideas into consideration.
You won me over completely when you mentioned you can customize the look of your troops. I love medieval plate armor designs (especially germanic and italian) and RPGs tend to get me my knightley fix but to have that level of customization in an RTS/ city builder is godly. I hope you guys have Sallet and Armet helms. Much respect
@@christianbohm6118 It most certainly will age like a fine cheese or fine wine! Also if you don't like the game, why the fuck are you watching gameplay video's?
Congrats, this looks very promising. The key seems to be making a fluid transition between city building and real time battles. It would be cool to have an in-depth system for outfitting peasants and troops that ties in with buildings and natural resources (iron, leather). You could even have artisans, so if your local blacksmith is a master, then your soldiers can benefit from better weapons and armour. But also the opposite, so poor artisans means lower quality equipment. Stables and quality of horses are another mechanic that could be explored. If you have a devoted priest, then your troops will have higher morale - you could even have priests go into battle - warrior priests were a thing during this period. I think making a sort of feedback between these two systems - city building and battles - would make for really engaging gameplay. And I love the idea of mustering peasants, whoever is on hand, to defend the village. It reminds me of the defenders of Helms Deep, a rag tag group of boys and old men who manage to defeat an organised conquering force. More customisation of this home guard, based on the unique details of your settlement would be really interesting.
I am glad to see RTS games are not dead. I remember playing Caesar and Pharaoh back in the 90's, and then more modern RTS games that followed. I'm excited to see what a modern title will look like.
There are so much I love about this project. The graphical fidelity, the UI, the soundtrack and the combination of simulation and strategy gameplay. Everything so just looks so clean, streamlined and thought-out already. I wish you Greg and your entire development team good luck on this, and I can't wait for it!
This game is proof of how important passion is before money and opportunity. Thank you so much for making the game that I have dreamed of since I was little. ♥
3 tips for long-term success and respect: 1. Listen to the community. 2. Continue development after release (you can add more content than your initial budget allows) 3. Encourage modding (a vibrant mod community can allow each user to build off of your work to play their own personal Masterpiece. I don't play Minecraft or Rimworld in Vanilla, but with mods they are some of my favorites)
I do agree with this 0ver 100% One of the reasons why Skyrim is still so popular after 9 years because of Mods (and heavy marketing and resales. Mod does go a long way to keeping a game relevant for years to come as well as support from the studio/publisher to keep it going for years to come.

I've been dreaming of a game like this for years. I love the idea of settlement and being able to build up from practically nothing. This looks like it has a ton of potential! I also really like the way the diplomacy is designed! It seems to be really free and gives you the potential to say exactly what you want as well as the possibility for more complex relations rather than bland alliances. I would love to see more about diplomacy and the potential agreements or other general diplomatic relations that could be created and established. You, sir, have done a great job. 2:55 man hearing the rallying voice for the militia with the church bells in the background gives me chills - such a logical feature. It's going to be so cool trying to fight off desperate situations.
The tier'd troop system makes the military side really dynamic and I'm excited to see how it expands and develops overtime. Especially the idea of sacrificing your economy to raise extra peasant militia in dire times or when you need cannon fodder to distract enemy archers. Nice integration of community feedback!
It's definitely an interesting change from games like total war that focus on a "Rock-Paper-Scissors" type of strategy. Instead of being limited to certain unit types, you can equip troops with the tools needed for the environment, weather, and terrain. Which, from what I've gathered from Shadiversity's recent video, seems to be a more authentic approach.

This is the kind of game I've been searching far and wide for. I've played many RTS and city builder games but I can already tell this will be amazing. Fantastic work, and thanks for always taking your community ideas into consideration.
Thanks! I really appreciate it :)
Thanks! Glad you like it. Just venetian sallets for now, I'm gonna expand the time scale a bit later on, to include more 15 century armour.
@@ManorLords If you bring muslims look in them this will be interesting
I like this, looks like a fusion of Stronghold, Banished, the Settlers, and Anno!
and foundation
This is probably going to be the best RTS game ever.
And the best successor to Banished!
This comment will not age well. lol
@@christianbohm6118 It most certainly will age like a fine cheese or fine wine!
Also if you don't like the game, why the fuck are you watching gameplay video's?

Man, nine months later, i can't still stop watching the trailer again and again
i cannot wait to get my hands on this game! slavic has been so responsive to the community and every update he's been giving has been so exciting
Literally can't wait for this game.
This looks incredible. Fantastic work, looking forward to the release!
Thank you very much!
This is the way.
He will show us the way
Hello there. This is the way.
WHAT IS THIS... BEAUTIFUL.
I can't comprehend how those trees look so good and realistic
Makes me very happy, cause I've put a lot of work into them! Thank you!
I am glad to see RTS games are not dead. I remember playing Caesar and Pharaoh back in the 90's, and then more modern RTS games that followed. I'm excited to see what a modern title will look like.
The second i saw the thumbnail i knew i would like this game, every second that passed made me want it even more.
I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't wait!
I've been wanting EXACTLY this type of game since Stronghold, Can't wait till it's available for purchase
Just heard about this, I am Pumped!!!!! can't wait, but I understand you need time to make it the best we have ever seen. Keep it up!!
Thanks for the support!
There are so much I love about this project. The graphical fidelity, the UI, the soundtrack and the combination of simulation and strategy gameplay. Everything so just looks so clean, streamlined and thought-out already.
I wish you Greg and your entire development team good luck on this, and I can't wait for it!
Thanks! That's very kind of you :)

Oh hello game that I'm going to lose thousands of hours to.
Loving the mechanics so far! Looks to be running pretty dang smooth as well, keep up the great work sir!
Thanks Havoc! Trying to optimize as much as I can. Cheers!
That's how Stronghold 2 should look like.
Great work and cant wait to play!
I salute the developer, a true knight creating this masterpiece. You sir, bow to no one.
i literally cry on every small update related to this game
That is sick, can't wait to make a showcase on it! Great job
This game is proof of how important passion is before money and opportunity. Thank you so much for making the game that I have dreamed of since I was little. ♥
3 tips for long-term success and respect:
1. Listen to the community.
2. Continue development after release (you can add more content than your initial budget allows)
As someone who loves customization in video games the ability to customize your knights to that extent is awesome
I didnt see it but I know just one thing, the hype is real and its consuming my soul! 😲😅
Look how far you've come! Everyone is so excited to see what you bring to the current release.
"HENRY'S COME TO SEE US!"
God bless you Henry
I gave tess my longsword.
I feel quite hungry
Jesus Christ be praised!
I'm getting heavy feelings of the original Stronghold games when I watch this and I can't explain how excited I am.
Wishlisted! I hope that helps :)
I've missed historical city builders. I have really fond memories of the Sierra days and this has me excited to get back to the genre.
Thanks for supporting! Oh yeah, I love me some Pharaoh myself.
@@ManorLords My dad and I used to make ever more challenging custom scenarios for each other :). Some really good memories with that game.
I've spent 15 hours playing the demo. You sir managed to hook me like no other game in a very looooooong time.
Hopefully we'll get to play this game sometime next year. I've been following the development for a long time now and was amazed how well the demo worked.
Take your time, keep up the good work, you have created something very special that a lot of people have been asking for for years.
I am absolutely enthralled with this idea and my mind is going crazy planning what I want to do already, and a release date hasn't even been announced! Again, great job. Thank you for making my gaming dream come true. :)
Everyone i know is super hyped for the new AAA game and I'm just sitting here waiting for Manor Lords to have a release date! Love the content, Love the video quality, Love everything about this game! Every aspect just makes me want to keep going back to the steam page every day just to see if its getting released soon! Keep up the hard work and get ready to take my money!
Thank you! :)
Yea I'm waiting for this too
So its basically medieval dynasty, AoE, Stronghold and Total war at the same time... I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2:55 man hearing the rallying voice for the militia with the church bells in the background gives me chills - such a logical feature. It's going to be so cool trying to fight off desperate situations.
A magnificent game c: I hope we will enjoy it as soon as possible, big appreciation. Thanks for such an amazing RTS. Finger crossed and keep going 👍
This game looks amazing, both graphic and gameplay wise. It basically contains all the features I could wish for in a strategy/management game. Keep up the great work!
Since I saw the game, I was so excited! It's just so beautiful and fantastic! One of the best and most beautiful games I have ever seen. If it comes out, I will definitely play it at any cost! Your video is also very good and beautiful! Keep it up.
I like it! When can we start playing this!
Yes
Hopefully before 2030

Interesting Anno+Guild+Stronghold mix - Take my money!
The scene of militia gathering on the spot looks fantastic and thrilling. No games have ever tried this type of military unit creation.
I love it when game explanation/description decides to use this kind of narratives, voice, and speech tempo.
WOW. This game was recommended to me when looking at Ostriv and I am 100% on board.
Ostriv has one of most unique settings out of all city builders, I love the atmosphere.
@@ManorLords His approach is amazing, the attention to detail, etc, I love it. What really caught my eye at first with Manor Lords was how realistic it looked. I honestly thought I was looking at a photo of a medieval village at first. Being a Medieval Historian, I love what I am seeing.
@@thomassutphin7904 being a medieval historian you HONESTLY thought you were looking at a PICTURE of a medieval village?
You may need to look into the history of the camera a little bit.
@@shelbyseelbach9568 Wow, my apologies for complimenting a game developer. I'll know better next time :/
You could simply compliment them without insulting your own intelligence. Seems like it would make more sense. Although, I see you have a flair for being overdramatic, so probably not.
This game looks so good cant wait for it to come out. Hopefully youll do an early access release as well. Whats shows in the video of rts with a good city builder that seems inspired by simcity or something its a brilliant idea. Great work your doing being waiting for a game like this for ages.
I've been wanting a game like this for years, it's like if banished and total war had a child
I have a feeling that this will be strategy game of the decade!
I never really liked medieval games, space sci-fi and steampunks are my thing. But this game looks like it might finally turn me into a believer: the ambience, the apparent simplicity, yet the scale of it... Please make this work!
This seems like a solid and healthy approach on reviving the strategy genre into gaming industry. I am really excited and willing to pay a lot for this heavily realistic looking medieval experience.
Reviving? What rock have you been living under?
@@Ev3rmoving to be fair strategy games don't sell as well as they used to...
@@matthiuskoenig3378 Oh yeah? Then explain how did TW: Three Kingdoms have 190k concurrent players on launch day? Strategy genre is not dead, solid games are selling better than ever. It's just that the genre is also filled incompetent studios that keep pumping out absolute duds, mostly due to entry barrier being lower than ever before.
Can't believe I've never heard of this game, this looks awesome good job.
Thanks, glad you like it!
Please take your time in making the game. Im willing to wait for this. Thank you!
😂 After the guy said 'we need more workers here' in that northern accent I instantly thought of LOTR Battle for middle earth, and although the game is obviously very different it gives me a similar vibe. Looks great, I'll definitely be getting it.
I take a week of work to play this. Concept sounds fantastic. Build up towns and have real battles. Is it possible to build castles and so in later stages? Keep up the good work
Not yet, but it is planned. Thanks!
Looks like a great strategy game is coming! Always nice to see this awesome era come to life. Keep up the good work⚔️
Only learnt about it this year and I am looking forward to it. I will definitely get it when it comes out and spread the word :-)
