Well when all is said and done, nothing will ever change until the RV industry is regulated like the automobile industry. Thanks for your efforts Liz!!!❤
Yep. And I'll keep holding their feet to the fire until that happens! Thanks for watching.
The auto industry is putting out throw away cars these days
I hope you didn’t quit RV’ing because you are a great source of information and support to all of us. Thank you for all you do and stay safe out there. And if someone bothers you just let us know and we all come running 🏃 to protect you. 😊
The hell do you think we will do?
Still RVing, just now I"m flying under the radar. Thanks so. much for your support!!!
Hope TT can help keep you under the radar too! I recognized you last yr at Bend in ur old rig from RUclips and name on pedestal..sure was great meet you! Safe travels and keep up the great work you have a big heart helping the fire victims!❤️
Our roads are not being maintained as in years past.i drive a tractor trailer.
I've had a roof mounted faring mount bolt punch through my sleeper roof.
Its happened with multiple brands of tractors.
Im thinking the engineers designing the rv and vehicles in general never planned to overcome the new low in highway maintenance and / or road bed replacement. Bridge joints and even bridges.
Im replacing suspension parts on a yearly instead of a 7-year basis..
Poor part quality is a factor as well.
As a nation we need a manufacturing base like we had, to have a tax base to properly maintain our roads along with competition amongst parts manufacturers.
To many times, oem isn't releasing specs on parts. Oem only.. sometimes horrible quality...
@@hawkeyetec
I am sure the state of the roads doesn't help, but a lot of this is just poor quality manufacturing. They cheapen up on the frame to cut costs and lighten the weight, but end up with bent frames and torsion. RVs have always used cheap components on the mass market rv's, but now they are relying on really cheap stuff. The couple with the leaking 5th wheel, if you look at the frame jack there is a weld in it that is really poorly done ( a professional welder teaching an apprentice would not be pleased with it). Word is the factories fired long term employees to save money and that is never a good thing.
The other thing is that factories during the pandemic really stretched themselves thin to meet demand and likely became even less picky about quality, like using components that were marginal and that has become the supply chain.
With a mass production industry like most RVs the problem is once quality becomes like this there is little incentive to fix it. One thing that would help is a national lemon law for RVs as there is for cars ( states have lemon laws as well for cars, but that leaves big loopholes where dealers would move to states without lemon laws).
Two tools that are a must when shopping for a new or used RV. They are a flashlight and an inspection mirror. Use them to look behind areas that you normally don't see . Look under counter tops. Remove some cabinet drawers , look at undersides. backsides . Look at pluming piping , fasteners, electrical fuse and relay boxes . Wear work type clothes and don't be afraid to get a little dirty. The Quality and craftmanship of that RV will jump out at you if you look behind the pretty covering.
If you do all that, you will never buy a RV.
If your seeing cracks everywhere it’s a guarantee the frame underneath and the support structure to the sides and walls are flexing to the point of serious failure.
Liz, you are AMAZING. If only more of the larger channels would follow your wonderful example and start holding the manufacturers feet to the fire. Once the CEOs see their sales decline and the major shareholders get a smaller dividend then we will definitely see some better quality control. Market forces will always prevail. Money speaks louder than words.
Yep! The more people who put the squeeze on them the better! Thanks for watching, Andy!
Liz, you are a hero. Thank you for being a voice for all of us.
Aww, thanks so much. I'm definitely on a mission! Thanks for watching
Of course you don’t want to tell us what you are RVing in now, but we’d sure like to know. Kudos to you for helping all the RVers! It was GREAT NEWS today. I’m proud of you Liz.
Thanks Kathy, and thanks for understanding!!! Hugs to you and Larry!
I was just thinking that I was concerned for your safety. I’m glad you’ve taken precautions. Be safe.
You are absolutely awesome for all that you have done to promote fair and equitable customer support, as well as highlighting the inferior manufacturing quality of the makers.
Awww, thanks Randy!!! Hope you are well and looking forward to seeing you, hopefully this Spring!
Thank you for the follow-up reports ❤❤❤❤ have a great weekend & be safe please 😮
Thanks Steve, and same to you!
Great video, Liz.
Very wise, for many different reasons, to decide to travel a little more discreet right now. It only takes one unbalanced person to cause a scene or harm.
Exactly! Thanks for understanding.
Low profile? Are you going to a sticks&bricks for the moment?
WE LOVE LIZ - every one of these rv channels should be speaking about similar pros/ cons of makes/models to educate the public and force manufacturers/ lawmakers becoming aligned in product guarantees and keeping America strong in this manufacturing world..
Always the best to you Liz
Thanks Bruce!!! I am in my new (used) RV in this video. Sure appreciate your support all along the way!!!
@@LizAmazing are you going to reveal your new digs or staying in witness protection for now🤪
My parents bought a Boles Aero camper in the 60s. Never had a bit of trouble with it. We traveled for a month during the summer, always out west. Some great memories as a kid. Now we have a timeshare and really enjoy it. Too old to camp.
Liz you truly are amazing. Sorry you had to get rid of your rig. Stay safe, and thank you for what you are doing.
Thanks Mark, have a great weekend!
Great work helping out those afflicted with serious RV issues. I can understand your desire to fly below the radar at this point. I hear Grand Design is considering making a stealth RV.......the frame disappears first.
Ha, I hadn't heard that one! I will be talking more about GD in an upcoming video. Thanks for watching.
Gosh, our luck with our '08 Phaeton is commendable then, as we've only had one major repair since buying 5 years ago, as everything else has been tiny jobs to fix myself, as with all RV's. I was impressed, how Tiffin stepped up to get their RV to their plant for repairs, and I hope they go through the unit, and check for defects throughout, so no issues are further found.
Liz Amazing is the Queen of RV Consumer Advocacy! Thanks so much for what you're doing!
Thank you so very much!!!
Bravo….you Are making a difference. We need more folks like you advocating for the RV owners. I am so happy that you are seeing success with your following & please keep it up. Thank you, Liz
Thanks so much for your support, Sunny! It's a good feeling to be making a difference!!! Thanks for watching.
Hi Liz, I went to deluxe rv in Carstairs Alberta to get a new toilet installed, as soon as I got the rv home I hooked up the water the toilet leaked bad at the bottom. They never even tested it, I called them back right away to bring the rv back and told me they are booked up and you can bring your rv back in 2 months. I had to go to another rv repair business to get it fixed right away. Deluxe rv charged me $150 for the job, that now that they should have fixed right away, now I’m out another $150 to get the job done right, thanks Richard from Carstairs
That's so crazy. They should have hooked everything up on your walk through. Then, if it wasn't right they would have (should have) fixed it on the spot. Shame on them!
Grrrr... whatever happened to pride in workmanship?
@@TrishBenedictYou got the three F's.
@@johntalbert8227 ??? Do go on...
Like Dave Ramsey says, 'buying an RV is like taking a pile of cash and lighting it on fire'. They seem to be very expensive toys that are poorly built.
It was great to get the updates on all these RV’s. I hope all their issues are truly resolved!
Did you purchase something new or used? I’d be afraid to buy anything new right now with all the “hack jobs” being done on the RV’s😡
Thank you for all you do in keeping viewers informed👏
Blessings 🙏
I got a used one and am standing in it in the video. I love it already, just flying under the radar these days. It's a 2017. Thanks for watching.
Hello Liz. Great to see the results that you brought about. Keep holding everyone's feet to the fire. Either they make them better up front or pay four times more fixing them later. That nice young couple is correct. Fixing the cracks is NOT the root cause. Anyone who knows anything knows this is a structural problem. Smart move to become less visible. Hope you are having some fun in between videos.
Yay, thanks so much for your support and understanding, Dan!
I'm new at the Nomad thing. Only been in my Class C full time since Nov 2023. Mine is a 2000 model Thor Chateau. It only has 33,000 miles on it. It's beautiful and seems like it's really never been used. The engine even looks brand new and it runs beautifully and smooth. I'll be 69 this year having lost my husband last year and I sure don't want to go through issues with this. But I've renovated it myself (shocking I could do all this) and it's a perfect home for me. Thanks so much Liz and I can't wait to hear what you're living in.
That's awesome Kathy that you have a 2000. I bet it's solid. And I am standing in the RV in the video, I love it already! Thanks for watching and see you on the road.
Ya know Liz. it's really important what you are doing here. As a (now retired) fabricator and contractor, I think it would be useful for you to do a couple topic specific episodes on 1) how to document/film/record issues and interactions with sellers/manufacturers, 2) how repairs are actually accomplished (or how they cannot be accomplished), 3) how the industry uses materials that are really not designed for the applications, and 4) how it can be done right (give cudos to those that don't have issues).
These are great ideas, Bert!
Hi lady...you are probably getting tired of being told how good your doing...but..you are doing a great job...your helping people understand as well as getting things done for them...alot of work...but this is what happens when you step up and become a leader...thank you...🎉...J&A2ofus
Awww, thanks so much! Much love to you both!
This series has been great (and eye opening) but yikes, I figured you must be taking some heat. So sorry you had you sell your Alfa so you could fly under the radar, what a world we’re living in.
I know it. I just felt it was time to take a low profile. Feels good to be making a difference though. Thanks for watching, Jeff!
Are you saying you were too recognized because you were in your Alpha?
The major problem with the RV industry is often there are several manufacturers that are responsible for the finished product. One will make the frame, another will make the siding, and another might provide the engine and running gear. When you develop a problem, you are tossed from pillar to post trying to get someone to take responsibility for the problem. Having been associated with the RV industry for 20 years I have seen many of these problems coming up and the hell people have to go through to get the problem fixed. There needs to be more regulation of the industry so one firm has to take responsibility for the finished unit and that they have to deal with their suppliers.
Thanks Liz. You have been through a lot yourself. Please becareful dealing with all this. You are hitting their profit ratios making the industry deal with and fix their stuff. Again God love you for stepping up and using the power of your channel. The owners of these corporations should be really ashamed of letting some of the products out the door.
Yes, they need to wake up, step up and do a lot better! Thanks for your support!
These corporations are not owned by any one person, not even Tiffin, They are all on the New York Stock Exchange. They will keep building junk as long as people will keep buying it.
🙏🙏🙏
I understand about wanting to have a low profile. Good health to you
Due to all these nightmares people have with their RVs, I decided to buy a van and build it out myself. I know everything that in my built is top notch and it safe to use and drive !
You are doing a great job Liz, and please keep it up. Your videos are bringing out chance for the people that you profile. This is the only way that consumers can get resolution to these problems.
Thanks so much for your support!
My dream of building my own tiny home trailer came true and it’s been going great 👍 not a single problem in 7 months of full time use.
Wow Liz, for sure you are my hero! Whatever you do; RV life or not, I am right there by you!
Thanks Bernard. I'm still RVing, but now I'm flying under the radar!
Low profile is best for your safety:)
Unfortunately I believe you're correct to be worried for your safety. People can get so ugly when money is involved. Please be cautious.
Thanks. I wasn't losing sleep at night, but I realized how conspicuous I was in that Alfa! Thanks for watching, Nana!
Thank you. You are a fighter for the people. The RV industry needs to realize that if people are going to spend thousands of dollars on a product, they need to ensure that a good product is provided!!
You got that right! Thanks for watching, Charles!
Thank you for the updates Liz!! Hopefully, these manufacturers are paying attention
I know it. It's time for them to wake up and do better. Thanks for watching, Kim!
@@LizAmazing you’re welcome and you’re right!!
It’s great to see these updates and progress being made!
Yes indeed! Thanks for watching
Liz you’re doing an amazing thing for all these people & future ones!! I truly hope all your hard work makes a positive difference in the RV industry because it is desperately needed❤
After thinking long and hard I finally just got a used Toy hauler let me say she has been 100 percent dependable I did replace the Batteries . Been traveling the Southwest in style and trouble free with no problems. New is not always the answer after hearing of all the nightmares when buying new !
Keep it up Liz!!! Good work. My 2008 Cougar 5th Wheel was amazing. Had yearly maintenance done it and got lots of Compliments for everyone who worked on it
We are buying another one and will remodel interior again
All my Prayers to all those who are having problems and to you Liz
You have done some real good with this series of videos. So sorry you’re feeling unsafe with your notoriety that you can’t share probably very wise your peace of mind and safety is important. I have family in the security business bodyguards private contractors. If you need any security hope you’re still having fun. I always enjoy your videos. Hope to see you on the road someday soon safe travels.
Thank You Liz for helping everyone!!
Thank you for being here! Feel free to share this channel to help make it grow. And thanks for watching.
You're providing good help and I'm sure it's appreciated by those whose problems were resolved. Sadly, these types of "movements" often wither because most people are satisfied having their particular issue settled. And, right now, the makers seem obliged to resolved individual cases b/c they know a class action and/or regulatory movement would cost them much more. It's long overdue for there to be a higher level of industry oversight considering the potential for on-road catastrophic failures that could lead to injury and/or death. I genuinely hope it doesn't take lives lost for there to be significant action.
Excellent update again. You are the Queen Liz!!!
Thanks Mildred, I am glad you're here!
Cheers to you and your wonderful work in helping everyone to resolve their issues.
Thanks so much!
Great job.
I'm not even in this life.
But you landed on my feed.
Respect what you are doing for these consumers.
Thanks for all your hard work, Liz! Changes are happening. 🥰
Indeed they are! Thanks for being here, Carrie!

Liz, that's fantastic!!! Thank you for going to bat for so many people and changing their lives! You are amazing!❤
Thanks Val, have a great weekend!
Some good news! These are serious issues that need factory repair.
Thanks so much!!
Your videos have helped my husband and I so much. Thank you for such great videos. We purchased our first used travel trailer and we steered away from a lot of the brands mentioned. We also bought an older fiberglass trailer that checked most boxes for the quality we needed and did minor renovations. Stay safe!
Aww, thanks so much for saying so! Happy travels !
Oh my god these things are made so cheaply. Thin plastic sheeting over pressboard. What do the manufacturers think was going to happen? Thanks for everything you do, you are the best possible advocate for anyone buying a post 2018 RV.
Good for you Liz you have been amazing on these videos about there RV industry.
Glad to hear your taking precautions with the RV you have now since you are taking the industry to task stay safe and keep RVing
Thanks, Grace, sure appreciate your support!
The conditions in which Fiberglass is reapplyed and gel coats to fix these problems is also important otherwise you will still end up with cracking. Ty for the link to the update.
You are so welcome, fingers crossed that it all goes well for them. Thanks for watching
Thank you for the updates.
Thanks, Barb, have a great weekend!
❤ what you are doing for all of us in the RV community..
I built fibreglass boats for many years with my father, (Mach I and Envision Boats). I believe what happened with the cracks is when there is not enough fibreglass and not the right fibreglass, Matt is what it's called and no support underneath the fibreglass it cracks. Now i understand that new and different type of compounds and fiberglass. But that's my take and could be totally wrong. Just throwing it out there.
Yes, that could very well be it. I will keep you posted! Thanks for watching.
@@LizAmazing Please do, so many new technologies. But it comes down to Gel coat thickness also, the less millimeters of gelcoat easier to fracture out and break. Repaired several in my day on warranty. Thanks Brian
YOU GO Liz! Great job!
Thanks Stephen, glad you are here!
Enjoyed the update!
Thanks for being here, Glenn!
rock on Liz, love what your doing!

Awesome, amazing work. You're a brave woman.
Great job Liz.
Liz, you really are amazing! Good job. I hope you find a new rig of your dreams and you'll still be out here on the road with us.
I'm standing in the RV in the video, I love it already! Thanks for watching and see you on the road, Linda!
Thanks for highlighting these stories.
Thank you for watching, Danni!
I've watched numerous videos of yours. I'm thinking we as customers have to insist that when you buy a brand new RV, yes make that downpayment but then there is going to be a mandatory 30 day by back if serous troubles break out.
I’m happy things are working out for these couples and I’m glad the one couple hired an attorney. They deserve to win. But I am completely shocked that you sold your motorhome! I thought you loved it! Will we see what you replaced it with? 🤔
Stay safe Liz!🍀🙋🏻♀️
Hi Theresa. No, I won't be sharing the exterior of it on social media. I really feel like my home on wheels needs to be something I keep private from now on. And I did indeed love that motorhome. So glad I enjoyed the heck out of it the entire time I had it. Thanks for being here through thick and thin.
I knew you would make an impact with these videos but Holy Cow Liz!! Kudos to you for your hard work.
Thanks Michael, I am so glad you are here!
Hi Liz, another great job. Have fun and enjoy the weekend 🐼
Thank you Charlotte, have a great weekend as well !
Thank you for your continued support and fighting for the rec vehicle owners .Hopefully you will be out of business one of these days !!!Miss your motorhome. Interior soooo beautiful. Best wishes as you "ease on down the road".Hope your unit is 99.9999 percent perfect.Peace be with you. 😇🌹
Thanks Charlene! I had an RV mfr try to buy me in exchange for not posting a video. That got me thinking that what I am doing is really making an impact. I wasn't concerned at the mfr level, more so on the dealer level. I don't want to worry about some half crazed salesman wanting to slash my tires. I know it was a long shot but I didn't want to wait until it became obvious that I need to be incognito. So now I'm flying under the radar. Thanks for your support!
Liz, you are "AMAZING"... kudos 🎉 to you for this fantastic public service.....
You know, different states have different lemon laws, and fortunately California has a lemon law that covers the RV chassis and the actual motorhome portion of the vehicle... while some states have nothing....
This is a very unlevel playing field.
We were very fortunate to have purchased our Class B Roadtrek Motorhome , a 2012 model used in 2017..... We've had the normal issues people have with component failure and mechanical failure on the Mercedes, but, nothing like the issues you've highlighted with frame problems, leaking roof or windows.
You know, our RV is basically a factory built vehicle that's been retrofitted on the inside to make it a recreational vehicle... I think there's a huge difference between this and a vehicle that's built on a cutaway chassis.... I noticed that one of the people who was on your channel said they previously had a Coachmen Galleria before they opted for the Navion.... this is the problem.... the Navion is basically an additional box that the RV manufacturer puts on the truck.... it's not built the same and to automotive standards...
This is sad......
Once the RV Industry wakes up and realizes that the price they are asking people to pay for all of this substandard junk...is not working. People will vote with their pocketbooks.
I'm glad you are shining a spotlight on this and using social media to its advantage.
----Mark
Good job Liz! Everyone I talk to who have an rv or camper is aware of your advocacy it’s about time the rv community has a voice, thanks 😊

Great video Liz thanks so much for being a help to so many people. I hope you are not giving up on RVing. Still hoped to see your Alpha one day , but now is stop looking lol . I know a lot of people are glad of your station and they have a right to be.
You have brought light to there lives in so many ways. God Bless and protect you I will wait to see you next Great video.
Nope. I'm in the new RV in this video. I really loved that Alfa and am so glad I enjoyed the heck out of while I had it. Thanks so much for the blessings and kind words. Have a great week, Jeff!
Excellent work you do and I admire your dedication and respect your intelligent decision on a low profile (unfortunate but smart).
Thank you, Liz. Look forward to your videos, helps me in decision making! When you are ready, please share with us your new rig - agree a low profile is wise. Take care, stay safe. 👍🏻
Hi Deborah. I just don't think the whole world needs to see what my home on wheels looks like. And that motorhome was so distinctive! Thanks for watching!
Totally agree discretion a great idea, and necessary. Just enjoy, travel safe and thank you so much for advocating for owners!
Nice! Clean house Liz... You are bringing it bit time! Don't let the industry pressure you.
Thank you much, Coleen!
Great job Liz. Ur a superstar.
I was about to buy new from an rv dealer but with all this information I will find something pre 2020 that is better built with the bugs worked out.
That's the way! Not a good time to buy new, but trailers and fifth wheels built in 2018 and before tend to be well-built. The motorhome sweet spot is 2002 to 2008. Whatever you buy, join the Facebook group of the model to get the scoop from owners. And always get an inspection. Another advantage of buying used is the seller has typically gotten the kinks out. Thanks for watching. For more about what to buy used see my recent video: ruclips.net/video/JSo5n2B62MA/видео.html
Way to go Liz. You rock. Stay safe.
Thank you, sure appreciate your support!!!
Thank you!!
I loved your motor home.
Me, too! So glad I got tons of use out of it and drove it everywhere!
I am happy that you have negotiated positive results for so many of these horror stories. As the youngsters would say, "You are da bomb." I do wonder though, why does it take an act of Congress ... no, Congress is currently paralyzed. Why does it take an act of God for the manufacturers to do what should have been done before the RVs leave the factory?
Larry from Texas
I know it. You'd think the RV industry would realize how shortsighted it is, or even suicide, to treat customers this way! Thanks for watching, Larry!
