@@jponyboyace mine is a 2024 and leaked straight from the dealership after 3 months at the dealer it was fixed. The oil engine cover was the cause if they keep it past 20 days they have to pay your truck payment
Thank you, so far the best that I have seen on YT for a L5P oil change. I am about to do mine for the first time, but will be using Amsoil full synthetic w/ Amsoil filter. Do you see any issues with that? I know a lot use the ACdelco filter.
Cummins is a versatile engine. The actual oil change interval in an ISB6.7 is like 25k miles. Ford is used more in heavier duty truck applications too than GM.
Agreed, it would stand to reason the most grit, etc., would come out at the end. If you're going through the trouble of changing the oil, why not wait just a little bit longer for it to fully drain.
10qts is roughly 10qts. Measurements on fluids are never precise. An ounce or two over or low is normal, plus you should be checking it regularly in your “75k truck”
Good job. I like that you keep it clean.
I was taught to fill the filter before installing it. Always have, always will.
Interested to know where the oil leak was from. Did you find the source of the issue? Thank for sharing.
Unfortunately not, and I don’t trust dealers to fix it lol
@@brokenboosted7471…what year as this duramax…..I have the new 2024…….looking for info…….
@@jponyboyace it’s a 2022

We have a 2024. T6 for us (found it on rollback at Walmart)
What’s the difference between t6 and t4 15w40?
@@kovideos1230 t6 is full synthetic, t4 is conventional
Why does this have 1500 mirrors?
Special order, I don’t like the giant 2500 mirrors!

I don't see you having any issues, that's really good oil!
Do u knw the oil filter part number or wat filter it is.?
I always use Amsoil in all my diesels 👍🏼 I won’t use anything else!
You need to do a solid axle swap
Don’t forget to put a little dab of grease behind the door handle 😉
its odd the filter so small compared to ford/ram

Same oil for 3500?
yes. same truck, just different frame/brakes/cooler setups etc
gotta get the 10 quart jugs from tractor supply
did he even change the oil? it was still running....
Why would he check it? He just changed it… yall boomers are wild

Revoke his ASE certifications! One should question whether he actually has any based on this level of incompetence!!
let all oil drain out jeez, dont check it after...... why I just do it myself
😂. Not sitting on shooter Sitting in new 2023 2500 admiring the lift because it’s 31 degrees here and my lift is a pair of 10” ramps
Can’t do the cold but I don’t mind the ground, my job has a lift so it’s a plus!
This why I don’t trust the tech’s. Still have oil to drain , then overfill. I bet he’s not that careless with his ride
That is my ride! And I don’t trust techs either that’s why I do my own services
"Close enough" and not checking the oil on the stick would not cut it on my $75k truck...be thorough as a tech...
Do it yourself then
