It keeps surprising me how good of a teacher you are!! Even though I'm currently studying for HSK5, I still watch your beginner videos because you always provide interesting insight to strenghten our understanding of the language ☺️ It is never a waste of time to watch your videos, thank you for the lovely content
I'm Vietnamese, and I've learn Chinese for 3 months. Thank you for your videos, they're helping me so much! I really like Chinese, by the way, I'm U50, and learning Chinese is good for my brain!
When I first started learning Chinese I tried not to translate from English to Chinese. Instead I would follow the Chinese grammar rules. As a check, when I finished writing a sentence I would translate the sentence word for word into English words. If that sentence made no sense at all I figured I had written the Chinese correctly.
I once had a penpal in the Philippines. She said "You can help me with my English please" so I sent the letter back after correcting all her mistakes with a red pen. She didn't write again.
Anna is doing super great! I have been learning for over 2 years now and am about her level. I learn very slowly and I still cannot create full sentences yet.
9:32 okay. There is also a mistake and in English it has to be: If I had I would (not have). In case you are certain and use present time then it has to be like: If I have I will (like in your second example).
As always, great content that is exceptionally well delivered. I am really looking forward to your beginners series. Any guidance on how to break through the beginner stage would be much appreciated. You are a very talented teacher and I'm sure that you will continue to be very successful in the future.
Something I’ve been wondering for a long time related to mistake #2: why is 在 ok after 住, like in 我住在美国? Seems to break the pattern we use in 我在大学学习 and the other example sentences.
I am happy to say I didn't learn anything in this video. And all the sentences with mistakes sounded weird to me. It means my chinese is finally improving!
As I study both Mandarin and Cantonese, I see some Cantonese creeping into the Mandarin like soeng nin (last year) perfect OK in spoken Cantonese. But Great lesson .
Hello I’m from Africa Please help me as well . I’ve been traveled to another country for 5 months to learn it till now I’m not satisfied with my current level.
When I go shopping with my wife the salesclerks always talk to her in Chinese. I have to tell them "她不會說中文。(Tā bù huì shuō zhōngwén.)" The salesclerk would look at her and then look at me and be confused and say "她不會說中文,但你會嗎?(Tā bù huì shuō zhōngwén, dàn nǐ huì ma?) I explain by saying ""她是菲律賓人。 (Tā shì fēilǜbīn rén.) " To be fair, I make the same mistake. If I meet people who are Filipino, Vietnamese or Indonesian I assume they are from Taiwan and I speak to them in Chinese.
5:44 are you saying that 我回在Ohio的家乡 is grammatically ok? a. Why is 在 ok between 回 and the place that we return to, when we usually simply say 回国、回家、等 b. The phrase Ohio的家乡 sounds like "Ohio's hometown" if Ohio were a person's name. Sounds more awkward than 我回家乡,家乡是Ohio c. Hold on, I've watched it again and you forgot to write what you said, and what you said made me realize what you meant. Was it intended as: 我回(我)在Ohio(住)的(这个)家乡 if not, see A and B
Translation correction: 13:00 the translation for A比B高 (A bǐ B gāo) should be “A is taller than B”

03:45 What about "塞車” does this expression wrong or how'd you use it?
I met Cyndi Wang. I said "我真的愛你!" but that was an exclamatory sentence. :)
谢谢,非常有用!
谢谢, 你最最最好❤
Another helpful video! 谢谢老师啊

That’s a great lesson! 谢谢你!
plz can u make a short vedio of roll change conversition like Fluent chinese channel
03:07 我曾經也有犯過這個錯。 因為跟邏輯應該是小學然後到中學。因為我沒經過中國的教育所以以為中學後是叫“高學”。 哈哈哈。 現在知道了。沒有“高學“。只有”高中“ 或 ”大學“。 :😀
我是直接用你的声音读的这一段评论!🤣
Why i didn't find you earlier??😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤
Can we say 马路很拥挤?

For 22. Do people in mainland really use 高 to mean expensive? Here I've only heard 貴
Omg here the translation is wrong, it should be taller

确实,“都”这个错误听着太奇怪了😂😂😂,其他的都还好
I passed HSK 9 recently, and you said there is no such thing as “上年和下年”, but there is for 上年..... :0

Hello
HOLA :3
chinese is confuse...
I must want to know how come air fare Vancouver to Bangkok so expensive now.
