      @@vaeal2004 "普通“ is normal, not special, it has connotations of "fact and objective", like 每个人都是普通人(everyone is a normal person); "平凡” also means normal, but "凡” refers the mankind earth comparing with heaven, so 平凡 has the connotation of "not magnificent". "平凡之路“ refers to the life, and it's more about self pursuing inner peace instead of describing the life is just bland and normal.

    Haha, reminds me learning Chinese back at the university especially with 同意. Laoshi had us repeat 我同意你的看法/想法 several times. As for 都, it's easy to understand why many students commonly make this mistake because they haven't been introduced with 所有的. They want to say 都人 everyone、都国家 all countries etc. because they've only learned that 都 means "all". However 所有的 isn't taught in Chinese class until much later usually at the intermediate level.

    Great topic! 请继续谈话这样事情!
    “等我几分钟” rather than “给我几分钟” I probably do mostly get right, but almost certainly do make that mistake from time to time. For whatever it’s worth, my (Chinese) wife thinks that “给我几分钟” is probably OK, informally at least, but, yes, agrees that “等我几分钟” is certainly more proper.
    “我同意你” I probably have gotten wrong in the past, but no more! 谢谢!
    都 before a noun is a mistake I *almost certainly never* make. As with many of these, this clearly comes from word-for-word translation from English, which I rare do. I virtually always go straight from ideas in my brain directly to 中文. That to the point where, sometimes when I’m stumbling to figure out how to say something in 中文, my wife sometimes criticized me for not just saying it in English. I don’t because my brain is in full-on 中文 mode, and if I try to switch my brain to English mode, I often forget what I was talking about!

    Thanks for the video, especially for reminding us of those mistakes we make in our daily life. These mistakes, I do believe, are influenced everyone's native language. We tend to translate literally sentences from our native languages into other languages.
    Regarding ”我同意你”, some of my Chinese native speakers think that it's wrong. For them, we should say ”我同意你說的話”、ie for them in Chinese we don't agree (or disagree) with people but with what they say or what they do).
    Thanks, waiting for your comment.

    (原來很難把這些問題修好了)
    (特別是)
    (句子的複雜程度越來越來高)
    Already I know these probably are not the way a native would say these components of the sentence/idea. On top of that, I don't know if these structures are compatible(and with what grammar structures), and if so what order they go in, or if there is a better way to say it entirely.

    I don't think it's a habit, but I always have to remind myself of the difference between e.g.. 看不见/看得见 and 看不到 /看得到, even after many years I am still confused at first which one is right. Oh and of course the correct use of 的 - 地 - 得!

    • @kathakailin
      @kathakailin 4 года назад

      @@elenat1092 okay so to my understanding (I hope I don't mess up again lol) 看不见 means let's say a building cannot be seen, either because you are blind or - very Chinese example - the pollution is so bad you cannot see the building across from the street(看得见 then means you can see, it's visible). if somebody asked you: Can you see that red building looking out the window? 看得到/ 看不到 means you can see or cannot see from where you are standing, so maybe if you look out another window you will be able to see. so it's more like the first one you have no influence on the situation, the second one you can be able to change the fact whether you see or not. I hope that makes sense. it's similar with 听不见

    • @elenat1092
      @elenat1092 4 года назад +1

      Thanks a lot for your explanation.
      In my small understanding the word 到 has a more complexe meaning than its mere translation: "to arrive", judging by what you wrote, I think it can often imply some kind of personal nuance, rather than an objective statement.
      One more little 问题:
      Do you think "看得见" and "看见" both have exactly the same meaning, or could there be a difference?

    • @kathakailin
      @kathakailin 4 года назад

      @@elenat1092 glad to help if I can :)
      hmm it's a really slight difference.. I think 得 is like the word "can"
      看见 "(I) see" I see it right now or have seen just now.
      看得见 "(I) can see" I'm able to see it, but maybe not at this moment, more in general.

    大家好。雖然我自學漢語兩個多月了,但是我還不明白什麼時候分如“下雨”的動詞。比如說老師剛剛說過“外面下著很大的雨”,她分過這個動詞。請我想要問問老師什麼時候可以這麼做呢,還有,哪種的複音動詞是可分的?。 (請如果有的人看到了什麼錯誤的話,就改正我的錯吧,多謝)

      要弄清楚这个你需要知道一个词中每个字的literal meaning。比如下:go down 雨 rain,这是一个v.+o. 的structure。一般这样的structure就可以分开。

      @@ShuoshuoChinese 好的 😃 非常感謝你啊。中文和孟加拉語 (我的母語) 一樣。我們也這麼說 ( rain to fall, "bristi pora" )。複音動詞都有這種的可能性嗎?比如說,可以說“睡一個好覺吧”嗎? 🤔

    Good tips! "都“ mistake is super common among my students, too! As a native speaker, I wouldn't say "同意你”. Instead I would say "同意你的看法“ or "同意你的话”. Typically “同意” is followed by an opinion instead of a person, unless I'm mistaken?

    would it be right to say: 最近都下雨了 with the same meaning as 最近平常下雨了 ?????

      We don't say 最近平常下雨了. The right way to say is 最近一直(都)下雨 which means it always rains recently. 最近都下雨了 sounds fine.
