- When Annie Caddell moved in to her South Carolina neighborhood seven years ago, she put up a Confederate flag. Neighbors started to protest, until she had a change of heart. Now, they're closer than ever. Steve Hartman has an update to their story "On The Road."

@@bowen4878 Did you know that certain nations of Native Americans also took sides during the Revolutionary War under the same context and then without even a thank you were stripped of their culture and made to assimilate to a people who stole their land?
Listening to Americans try and say that the Civil War was diverse is like listening to some adolescent Germans talking about how they believe the Holocaust didn't happen. Such a shame people cannot believe well documented history anymore and will go to any length to try and create it in a light that perpetuates their own beliefs, hence denying that the Civil War had to do with slavery. Imagine thinking that the diversity addition of a single individual overrides the fact that the war was being fought on behalf of people who toiled and slaved for other people, for generations, simply because they are different colored PEOPLE lol.

The last Confederate General to stop fighting was Cherokee General Stand Watie. 10,000 Jews fought for the Confederacy, like Moses Ezekiel. 13,000 Hispanics and 3,000 Mexican-Texans fought for the Confederacy as well, like Santos Benavides. Hundreds of Asians fought for the Confederacy like Charles Chon. Hawaiian Confederate sailors sailed on the CSS Shenandoah.

@@wdmoya1953 No, she moved into a piece of private property and, therefore, has the freedom to display whatsoever she wishes on her land. Instead of acknowldging that freedom, these "Americans" decided to harass her. The title is the best part, for it shifts all the blame onto the victim. Yeah, because the flag built the walls and harrassed this lady.

So it took her health to change her heart wow! She knew if something had happen to her and couldn't reach the phone she would be dead before paramedic reach her.
I think they meant she had a change in heart because all of the anger and stress led to her heart attack.

Joseph Thomas No. The Brussels conference of 1890 banned all slavery in western civilization. It forced Belgium, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and so on to end slavery.
The British would’ve convinced the U.S to end slavery or it would’ve convinced the Confederacy to end slavery

If are referring to William T Sherman,on his march to Savannah he told his troops to destroy everything so that crows flying over would need to carry rations. This contributed to lthe shortage of food at Andersonville

The Battle of Harpers Ferry was fought September 12-15, 1862, more than a year after Fort Sumter when the Confederates ordered there attack.

Fort Sumter happened 1861, four months after the south left. They shot because the north sent a fleet to Charleston.
