    • @guillermodinanno8432

Why people keep saying that? He got recognition from NBA, from top players, from Spurs, from fans around the world.. they even retired N°20 Jersey from the team, he got to all stars team (he should have gotten more tho), and he will probably end up in Hall of Fame.. also considered one of the best international players of all time by most people and rank 72 of best players of all time... Underrated? Maybe if he went to another team to be the super star and lead a team would have done better stats... But his sixth position is what made the Spurs so special.
      Cheers

I get he was a good defender and rebounder but in today's NBA he would probably average like 10 points 13-16 rebounds and 2-4 blocks the man is just lucky a) he played in a weak era, and b) he had a amazing ( for its time team). The moral of the story is that he's trash

    • @handsomesquidward8686

Buzzar Beater Nobody arguing with those 11 rings doe. And he averaged like 15 points cause he got no shots due to being on a team full of hofers. If u asked most people from that era they would say Bill was better than Wilt even though Wilt averaged 30 more points. Dont even know why were havin this debate anyway😂😂I love Manu but theres no way hes better than Bill Russell

I have been lucky enough to have seen Manu's growth first hand after moving to San Antonio in 03 myself. I forget how earlier he was into his NBA career by the 05 finals and what a huge role he played for the Spurs and already become an impact player on the NBA. Fast forward 14years to Manu's last game in San Antonio. It was game 4 of the first round playoffs vs Golden State. Spurs were down 3-0 and facing a sweep. Little did myself and everyone in attendance would know it ended up being his last home game of his career for the Spurs. Manu hit a crucial 3 with under a minute left to seal the game for us. Having been to many Spurs games and many memorable moments this is easily the loudest the AT&T center ever got outside of winning a championship. Manu a possession or 2 later hurt his ankle, this ended up being the injury that lead to his retirement as it ended up being an achilies injury and not the turned ankle we hoped it was at the time. The emotion and chanting of the crowd shouting "MANU-MANU-MANU" ... Id like to think helped gave Manu the extra motivation and strength to finish the game on the floor for us in attendance. Manu was indeed the man!

My dearly beloved Manu Gino-Billy :')
Favorite moment, 2004 semis at the Olympics, by a long shot. We were all fooling around before and after practice trying to replicate that shot.

Without Manu we would probably only have two championships. Thank God popovich lightened up on him and cut him loose. Because we were pretty boring back then. It never would have lasted, but our defense helped us win championships so all in all it was good for both the Spurs and popovich. Manu had no fear and was exciting to watch a lot of people went to the games strictly because of him we didn't go to be bored to death. And he made everything exciting. I like what Kobe Bryant said he loves a guy so that's all I needed to know. He respected him probably more than anyone else he had to compete with.

Manu is my all-time favorite NBA player. I've known his story coming from being a second thought to being world champion. His hard work, dedication to the game, and true grit will never be matched. Last season when he blocked Harden was pretty amazing, that layup against PHX in overtime for the win was awesome too, but I think my all-time favorite Ginobli moment was in the 2012 WC Semis against GS. 3.9 seconds in Double OT and Klaw inbounds it cross court to a wide open Manu for the catch and shoot. I about shit myself.

Manu could have went to a big market team and got paid big. He could have joined a superteam and been a superstar. Instead he played with the Spurs, a small market team, and was born a Spur and died a Spur. He played the right way imo, and didn't chase his own fame, he did it for his country, family, city and love of the game.

Well... Sebastian Ginobili was a great PG in the Argentinian league (he played once in the national team), right now is in San Antonio at the summer camp becouse he´s the Head Coach of Bahia Basket (the team of Bahia Blanca, the city of Ginobili). Leandro (older brother) wasnt a great player, he barely played in the argentinian league, he was a local player.
You´ve made a good video. But Manu will play one more season. Maybe his last season.

Back then i was a football player/fan but, there's one time i turned on the TV, unintentionally i passed on the NBA's channel then what I saw is a fascinating show. The G7 NBA finals between San Antonio and Detroit. That day I'm convinced by this guy, Manu Ginobili, to become part of the basketball world. Thank you Manu. Whatever your plans you'll gonna make, I'm still a great fan of yours.

Manu played like an all american that I new in eighth grade. I looked like Manu in eighth grade, flacko, 4'-111/4, 85 lbs and could bearly make a basket from the foul line. But the all american was about 5'-8" and could run with a football in one hand with three of us defending the goal line we tried touching him but he wood slide on the lose asphalt and zig zagging and laughing at us while he maneuver in and out. No different with the basketball. At our time in 73-74 there was no three point line. But he could let it rip anytime. It's a blessing to see skills at that level and see it in your team, picking up on what playing together has now developed to. He always got the MVP award. As I told Manu when I meet him in 04 at the IHOP. No te rahes! Don't ever quit!!! I knew they'd rough him up. He should'd them. Thanks for playing Manu and thanks San Antonio Spurs for believing!!!!.
