I'm a Bulls fan but I love the Spurs so much. They are really smart franchise and unlike the other teams who always win in sports when they win it is always so cool to watch.
luigi jimenez I don't think the team sucks. People were downplaying them this year. There is a reason they are over .500 and have a good chance of finish second in the East. Also can't make a shot to save their life? Butler and Wade are shooting over 40% last I checked. It's just the bench is very concerning with this team. I expect so moves at the deadline to clear space and bring in some knock down shooters.
luigi jimenez Nah bruh you trippin'. Wade is killin' it behind the 3 this year, and Jimmy's been puttin' up solid numbers. It's mostly just the bench that chokes away the lead in the 2nd quarter that the starters build in the 1st, lettin the opps go on major runs that become difficult to come back from.
lol you should look at their stats LOL! They are killing from three. But the bench has been a weakness. We lack a knock shooter off the bench. We got good bigs and wing players.
They just aren't the NBA's model organization when it comes to management, coaching, and how to treat their players. I believe they are what all sports organizations should strive for.
Other sports are different, like Football (soccer), teams like Madrid and Barcelona will always be good, simply 'cause everyone loves them and they will always win money
Well, as fate would have it, on the night I make a video praising San Antonio they lose to Orlando lmao. Anyways, the Spurs deserved a vid because they don't get enough credit for how great they've been, and what it's taken to be this consistent. Like comment and sub if you enjoyed! Started watching the NBA in 2001, I was 5 years old at the time! And ever since then the Spurs have never had a losing record. Their consistency, and development of players into their system, and use their talents to the maximum. Definitely the best organization by far and they don't get recognized for it, that's why Popovich is consider one of the greatest if not the great coach of all time and Tim Duncan is the Greatest PF of all time, success.
Well said. The spurs are a class act organization. Kept it clean and fundamentally sound for sometime now. They are the last team to play 80’s and 90’s NBA. Well closest anyway. Love the spurs and what they stand for.
Thank you , not just as a Spurs fan but as a basketball fan and enthusiast I really appreciate you taking the time time to throw the spotlight on my Spurs for once🙂
you know the spurs are the only team in sports history to never have a losing record against any opponent in their franchise history, nobody else has done it, not the yankees, not the lakers, not the montreal canadians, nobody but the spurs, wow. Even in the pre duncan era before they were winning championships they were still competitive year in and year out and incredibly they have only missed the playoffs 4 times in their whole history since 1976-77, 4 times in 40 years, thats insane.
Great video man. The spurs story is a story of Great Leadership. From the top down. Every franchice wants to do things how the spurs do it, every player wants to be coached by Pop, and every fan appreciates the Spurs.
I always believed that the spurs were always good because their game isn't built off athleticism so their old guys can still dominate as their bodies get old
even though i'm a Bulls fan, i'd play for the Spurs anyday. the culture, the unselfishness, the loyalty, the championships, and the no bullshit mentality is what makes a true organization. not the garbage social media hypes up with other teams when it comes to stuff like hate, legacies, and locker room drama
I just wanted to say Thank You! Thank You for giving The San Antonio Spurs Respect. I grew up a Spurs Fan but unfortunately they still don't get Respect from the League really if you watch NBA League Pass commercials they only show San Antonio getting dunked on or something that makes them look bad even though we've had David Robinson only to show how Olajuwon made him look bad or even Tim Duncan and now we got Kawhi Leonard even after winning The 2014 Finals MVP, The NBA2k game doesn't even put him on the cover. So enough letting me vent I Just wanted to say Thank You
Dom2k the spurs also signed Pau Gasol and they are truly making good choices. Btw I'm a heat fan and even I can see that the spurs are pretty dang good.
They have class and they win every single year. I am a Celtics' fan myself, but the Spurs look like a model organization: their owner is good, their fans are passionate, they play unselfish, intelligent basketball, they are a class act, they have one of the best coaches ever, and they have won 50 games each year in the past two decades (with the exception of the strike year, in which they won the championship). I absolutely would agree that the Spurs are the "model" organization, with no doubt.
amen it feels good to see someone recognize our city those spurs get out there anf put up a great fight for us every year ! and can never be counted out ! #spursnation #210city
man, i loved this video. all i could think about was the new orleans pelicans. they are missing making a great organization around anthony davis, even using holliday. really good video man, congrats
As a Spurs fan I loved this video! I have seen a couple of your videos before and they have all been pretty good but this time you have more than earned my subscription! Great points and nice editing, keep up the good work man!
Way to give respect to the Spurs and pointing out the lack of it from the media. It may be boring to some, I don't think so just like you said, but that shouldn't matter, only winning matters and so called professionals like Cowherd like to control what gets talked about and what deserves respect. Thanks for setting the record straight. It was also well done.
I live in San antonio an I watched the spurs since I was a kid an the another thing about the spurs there not cocky nor play cocky they use there brain for every move and shot ,love this video !
1993 - 2013 Manchester United is a Similar soccer version of San Antonio.. Multiple teams rebuilt but Always contending and won lots of titles. I wish San Antonio got more mainstream love like Man U.
Thank you so much for this video. I am a spurs fan, and they never really seem to get acknowledged. they got 67 wins last season, which is just crazy. It is too bad that they are in the west, with so many other superstars and great teams. if the spurs were in the east, they would have probably like 4 more championships.
R.A. Zuniga very true. I think they will get recognition if they get the 1 spot in the west. I think the warriors don't have enough depth to win over 65 games this season.
Appreciate the respect for the Spurs. I've been a lifelong fan, watching and going to games since Gervin, Johnny Moore played in the Hemisphere Arena. You could stand outside and wait for both teams to come out to the bus and get autographs. I was about 12 and loved watching them, they would always get so close and then run into the Showtime Lakers. A lot of frustrating but fun years. And then it all came together. It's hard to praise the team without sounding like a homer, but other teams have streaks of great play (Boston, Lakers, Bulls are the exceptions, really just the Celtics & Lakers), our guys have been pretty consistent for about 20 years. They're usually a factor until the west finals. Right now is Golden States time, Cleveland's time, doesn't mean we don't have a chance, just some years are better than others, we'll see. But you hit it right on, it starts from the top, the culture is allowed to flourish because Peter Holt is huge fan that had the resources to buy the team, then stay out of the way. Let's the people who know basketball, do their thing without having to look over their shoulders and see if Holt is second guessing them. You think Pop has ever worried about the consequences of a play or a season? That's a credit to Mr. Holt. Look at the ownership of Dallas, both NBA and NFL. It used to bother me that our guys were never showcased in NBA promos, it was always the flavor of the moment. But now that I'm older, I really understand the big picture the Spurs strive for. Our guys take pay cuts to help sign another player that is due. Pop cares for the players beyond the game, that goes a long way. Yes it's business, but the model works. It's unrealistic to think that means a trophy every year, but to be in position every year is incredible. These guys make a lot of money and could have made more elsewhere, but they know the organization has their back and they're best interest in mind while they play and when they hang it up. I have so much more to say, but I already said a lot. I love the Spurs even during those lean years, and I appreciate other teams that are doing it right. I'm happy for Golden State, they suffered a long time, same for the Clippers, Cleveland and a couple of others even Hous... I can't bring myself to even type out their name :-). Every year I know we have chance, a little gimpy this year but it'll be fine. We win, We lose, We move on to the next up! Thanks! #GoSpursGo
The 1996-97 season was the last season in which the Spurs failed to reach the playoffs. It seems like the Spurs are bound to reach at least the semifinals each year. They are the NBA's definition of consistency.
I remember when the Knicks & Spurs played in the NBA Finals. Since then we have seen one show us what to do and the other showed us what not to do as a NBA franchise.
The Spurs are a great team and this is a great video! In addition the Spurs model is what the Lakers should have done players are resources and if you develop them you keep a great source of talent! Great vid
Finally some love for P Mills! He's been killing it by stepping up and being clutch and an offensive spark when he's given the chance and is underrated af. He had a great olympics too :)
I root for my hometown Cavs, but I always enjoy and appreciate watching the Spurs. They play the game the way it should be played. Something you didn't mention that is obviously fantastic for their organization: Scouting. None of their stars (Ginobili, Parker, Leonard) were top draft picks, and in many cases they picked better late than the teams that picked early.
And also ; the Spurs would have won 6 titles and T.Duncan would be 6-0 in the Finals if R.Allen didn't hit that super clutch 3pt shot in the 2013 Finals to bail out the Heat .
Yup remember that..... it was a bail out. Spurs were a way better team than the heat. Way better. The spurs were running on fumes and the heat had a young talented team with zero chemistry that just out ran them. And bron is the GOAT?!?! Gimme a dam MF break. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Spurs and Heat are BY FAR the best front offices in the league. Whether its Spurs development, or Heat team building, both are 1st class. Pat keeps Spo around, Spurs keep Pop around. Spo has the longest coaching career currently in the NBA. And Pop is...Pop.
You really have to be a multi year basketball fan if you don't live in Texas to appreciate the San Antonio Spurs. There is this quite consistent professional dominance that this team displays that you truly appreciate ones you become a older Basketball fan.
I think the main reason the Spurs are the best franchise in basketball, arguably in all of sports,- other than having an all-time great coach- is that they evaluate talent better than any franchise in the history of the NBA. They consistently find diamonds in the rough, landing all-NBA level talent despite never having high draft picks. I don't think anybody imagined that guys like Parker, Ginobili, or Kawhi Leonard would be stars coming into the league. But the Spurs did, and all three of those guys are future Hall of Famers. The other important thing to note is that the Spurs NEVER overspend on free agents. Every year, while the other teams are overspending on aging, past-their-prime stars, or foolishly chasing Lebron, Durant, or whoever, the Spurs only go after role players who fit their system and don't cost a fortune. In their two decades of dominance, only once have the Spurs ever made a big, flashy, free agent signing- Aldridge. And even then, they didn't overpay for him, and he fits their system perfectly.
Im so glad u bring up Peter Holt it's the long term view that enables the team to run smoothly. Of course stars lined up for the team to have that much staying power and 5 rings along the way. Another coach who deserves credit is Chip Engelland. Kawhi didn't have much mid range to speak of when he first came out of college
Probably the best basketball I remember to have ever watched in my life was San Antonio's in 2014 when they won their last championship. That ball movement, all the team effort- basketball played how it is supposed to be- with brain.
Yep, they pretty much showed everyone why team work is so important in basketball. It's really weird when you think about the fact that a player like Danny Green was contending for Finals MVP(No offense to Green, he played really well in that series, but if he was on any other team, there's no way he would get enough minutes to make a difference). I also hate the fact people never bring up Tim Duncan when they talk about greatest players of all time just because he wasn't flashy. If Kobe can be in discussion for GOAT, why not Duncan. TD actually has more accolades than Kobe(I'd take 5xChampionships, 2xMVP, 3xFinal MVP over 5xChampionships, 1xMVP, 2xFinal MVP).
I really hope that the Spurs will get in the NBA Finals, but it's gonna be pretty tough, since the Warriors are probably gonna be in the Conference finals..
Great points! Your point about coaching was spot on! In this league we see legendary coaches get treated like a pair of old shoes and thrown on a whim.
After this last draft and offseason, I feel like along with the spurs, the warriors fall into model orginzation level. The chemistry, unselfish playstyle, and winning through draft, creating a dynasty...let's just see if they can keep it up after team breaks apart
I don't think the Spurs will lose to the Warriors in the Playoffs. I don't know if they'll win the championship, but it seems that wherever the Warriors have a weakness, the Spurs have the personnel to exploit it.
三宅円花 the warriors didn't make the finals in 2013. so they haven't faced this spurs team. and Gamelover you are kidding right? If the warriors destroyed the clippers, and the spurs destroyed the warriors + spurs are way more playoff experience than the clippers. no hate to the clippers just saying.
First off, I believe you mean the PLAYOFFS. The warriors faced the spurs in the western conference semis. The Spurs won the series in SEVEN games. SEVEN. That warriors team isn't the same one from back then. Finally, I have a question for you do you just watch the FINALS and nothing else???
I'm a Spurs fan, but I just wanted to say you're so objective! You have the best NBA analysis type videos on youtube hands down. Great channel man. Keep it up, and I hope you have millions of subs one day!
also this website shows the longest losing streak in the Pop era. blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2011/03/31/one-for-the-books-current-losing-streak-worst-in-the-duncan-era/ it's only 7, and another fun fact is that since 1998, they've only had one losing streak of 5 games. Incredible consistency.
Also not noted in the video: They were such a chemistry-filled team that Tony Parker and Brent Barry even shared wives. True teamwork right there.

This should be top comment.

When MCW and McD come back, hopefully that'll jumpstart the bench's production because our bench has cost us a large portion of our losses......
luigi jimenez Nah bruh you trippin'. Wade is killin' it behind the 3 this year, and Jimmy's been puttin' up solid numbers. It's mostly just the bench that chokes away the lead in the 2nd quarter that the starters build in the 1st, lettin the opps go on major runs that become difficult to come back from.

"good chance to finish second" my ass, you guys r good, but not as good as the raptors or cavs
How about the fact that they have a winning record against *every team in the league!* That's just incredible.
I didn't even know that. Wow

Spurs franchise is the goat in itself
I Am The GOAT
NBA Analyzer yes
Nah best franchise since 1999 but before that they weren't as great as teams like the Lakers and Celtics
Ibnziyad Tariq. You understand my true power
***** But the NBA has existed before 1999 lol that's like saying the Warriors are the greatest franchise of all time
Imagine popovich retires and he secretly already passed down his knowledge to a young assistant coach
Becky Hammon
That's actually what will happen
He would be a bad coach if he didn’t
Steve Kerr is his successor he played under him and was given advice about how to coach from Pop
Enter: Tim Duncan

Hispanic Terrorist yeah soccer is a lot different because there's no draft, the best teams are always good, either they form a star or they buy one
hooba93 preach
Wait, so they are? If they are the sports organization that "all sports organizations should strive for" then they are the model organization
He was saying they aren't JUST that, they're more.
Well, as fate would have it, on the night I make a video praising San Antonio they lose to Orlando lmao.

You could make this twelve minute video into a 10 second video, just by saying Greg Popovich
Dakota Beck And Tim Duncan And Tony Parker And Manu Ginobili And Kawhi Leonard...
Dakota Beck exactly cuz it's mainly him being so intelligent
I was looking for a nba what if story but u had a video of the spurs had to watch👍

That's why the Spurs are my 2nd favorite team. (1st being the Pistons)
The Patriots of the NBA. It's ridiculous how well this organization has done for all these years.

Biggie The Tank Engine yea i remember that, lol.
The Spurs replaced Michael Finley with Kawhi, Tim Duncan with lamarcus Aldridge, and are currently replacing tony Parker with dejonte murray

BrianTheKilla Bro last 20 years maybe butt not ever
And also ; the Spurs would have won 6 titles and T.Duncan would be 6-0 in the Finals if R.Allen didn't hit that super clutch 3pt shot in the 2013 Finals to bail out the Heat .
Spurs are still the team that has beaten LeBron in the finals the most. and the only team to sweep me
Sheraz Ahmed skip Bayless?
LouieD Boss nope. Warriors own Lebron and swept him this season
Yup remember that..... it was a bail out. Spurs were a way better team than the heat. Way better. The spurs were running on fumes and the heat had a young talented team with zero chemistry that just out ran them. And bron is the GOAT?!?! Gimme a dam MF break. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Could have been 7 against gsw too. There have been multiple finals showings that came down to the wire. Wish we could go back to those days...
And even then, they didn't overpay for him, and he fits their system perfectly.
one of the best video explaining the SA SPURS. thanks bro!
Make a video about the top 5 young teams that'll become contenders in the next 5 years
Gabe Baller please do this dom
Jagjit Singh not NO
Jagjit Singh switch out NOLA for 76ers and then add the jazz
The Nets are changing. Their GM hired Sean Marks who is trying to change the Nets into a Spurs- like culture
so far this season 16-17 almost every game has come down to the last minute
I've been noticing, I think I jinxed them.
Still waiting on Cases for GOAT: Wilt Chamberlain
Matei Constantinescu fr
Matei Constantinescu stop
Matei Constantinescu yep
Yamcha, The Saviour of Earth and Time lmaooooooooo
Im so glad u bring up Peter Holt it's the long term view that enables the team to run smoothly. Of course stars lined up for the team to have that much staying power and 5 rings along the way. Another coach who deserves credit is Chip Engelland. Kawhi didn't have much mid range to speak of when he first came out of college
Nothing but facts here

Still waiting on Cases for Goat: Brian Scalabrine
you're my inspiration
Generic Asian Guy Thanks
Cases for Goat: Patrick McCaw
Won 3 titles in 3 years in the league and has a legitimate shot at winning again this year. Clearly goat material 👌
You should do a video on front office and assistant coaches and former players who went on to play those roles from the San Antonio Spurs.
Spurs are my favorite team because they are underrated
Kobe+Jordan+Wilt=Me, the Scalagoat
THE GOAT L
nyknicksfan07 W
Jagjit Singh L
Legit championship contention is NEVER boring, just ask the knicks...
Nice video bro ! Keep the good work
Danny Green break the record in the 2013 NBA Finals, not 2014.
bruh you are the coolest youtuber bro, keep up the good work
Thanks man

im glad i subed
Me too
Dom2k lol
Best description of the Spurs team ever. Good job man.
Yeah baby
TD's head on the Christmas tree made me laugh.
I Thought the Nets Were the NBA's Model Organization..
Metta World Paige lol I'm dead
Metta World Paige your a fucking idiot
+Serb SR You're an idiot.
Serb SR It's A Joke Dumbass
You should be a comedian
After this last draft and offseason, I feel like along with the spurs, the warriors fall into model orginzation level. The chemistry, unselfish playstyle, and winning through draft, creating a dynasty...let's just see if they can keep it up after team breaks apart
WOW, I forgot ALL about their opening night games against the warriors
It's crazy to think that I've never been alive in a season where the Spurs didn't win 50 games.
TheSupermanFilms including lockout shortened 2012 season
TheSupermanFilms unfortunately now you have
@@Gogetta80 they actually won 50 games that season. Their record was 50-16.
I don't think the Spurs will lose to the Warriors in the Playoffs. I don't know if they'll win the championship, but it seems that wherever the Warriors have a weakness, the Spurs have the personnel to exploit it.
SalaCommander26 the warriors haven't faced the spurs in the playoffs they have avoided them twice. If spurs face warriors spurs in 7.
+Lord Kaos spurs will get knocked out by clippers
+Lord Kaos They played them in 2013
三宅円花 the warriors didn't make the finals in 2013. so they haven't faced this spurs team. and Gamelover you are kidding right? If the warriors destroyed the clippers, and the spurs destroyed the warriors + spurs are way more playoff experience than the clippers. no hate to the clippers just saying.
First off, I believe you mean the PLAYOFFS. The warriors faced the spurs in the western conference semis. The Spurs won the series in SEVEN games. SEVEN. That warriors team isn't the same one from back then. Finally, I have a question for you do you just watch the FINALS and nothing else???
100% correct about the Spurs organization. The #1 organization in the NBA.
I'm a Spurs fan, but I just wanted to say you're so objective! You have the best NBA analysis type videos on youtube hands down. Great channel man. Keep it up, and I hope you have millions of subs one day!
also this website shows the longest losing streak in the Pop era. blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2011/03/31/one-for-the-books-current-losing-streak-worst-in-the-duncan-era/
it's only 7, and another fun fact is that since 1998, they've only had one losing streak of 5 games. Incredible consistency.
Thanks Dan appreciate it!!
thanks for making a video about my favorite team. they never get love but they should.
