Yeah, right. We'll probably end up with Craig David.
😂😂😂
Yeah in 7 days
More chance getting kez cos we're skint
😂
Shut up.
As a Canuck hammer, I'd love to see this happen, he just scored maybe the biggest goal in 20 years for our national team
It’d make it a lot easier for me to get my Canadian wife to watch, that’s for sure
I have signed Jonathan David on fifa and he is my top scorer with 33 goals he a beast
Something about David doesn't sit right with me. He has an impressive goalscoring record but no one has ever been serious about signing him.
Can’t believe you don’t rate Jonathan David! Put some respect on his name!
In all seriousness, I’d love him at West Ham.
😂 quality
We need to get defenders in lively!. Ogbonna, Zouma and Aguerd will be off so get a wriggle on Sullivan and support Tim and our manager to get our targets in ASAP!!.
To compete.
Players need to come in NOW, to blend in with the new coach.
Sullivan will make JLOs job pergatory

He hasn’t been bought simply because he’s not big. But for us, that’ll work. Him linking with kudus and Bowen would be deadly
Bad boy reputation? Bad attitude? There has to be a reason why he is still at Lille, beyond his goalscoring record?
I would definitely want my scouting team to re-scout a player that we wanted 5/6 years ago.
Agenda:
Why hasn’t another big club signed him?
Why is his current club not attempting to resign the player?
Can his French league form easily transfer to Prem?
Has he reached his peak level or could he develop further?
You're spot on with your thinking mate.
The bulk of the signings will come late. All gonna be about selling players first
Hopefully, Wes was brought in to allow us to sell some of the players who make up the HG quota, namely Danny Ings. That would be good business. Happy to see JWP and Downes sold as well. Bring in Kone and you have options across the 6 and 8 positions of him, Souceck and Alvarez, and then you have Guilherme, Kudus, and Paqueta who can play more advanced roles.
This would not be a good signing. Go back and take a look at his performances in the last World Cup. Would prefer Antonio and that says something.
Different scout system than last time we scouted him so they've got to do their duty and make sure it fits the team tim is building
Methinks that the extra scouting was because Husilos had named the file David Jonathan. It was in the J’s and not the D’s! - coat on and heading for the door😳
West Ham will never change no matter how much we like to think it has.
Think we saying we don’t have money so we won’t get overcharged for players
Genuine question but what level is the French league? Aside from PSG? Championship? Lower? It seems below us, Spain, Germany and Italy in quality?
It would be like buying a striker doing well in the lower leagues, a gamble on whether he could step up. He looks a great buy for 15mil but as you say, what are we missing? Why no major interest from anyone else, it can’t just be because of his stature surely?
Pretty logical really ... if TS is our main scout and Lopetigo is the new manager ... they have to decided whether he is good enough ... or what is the point of having them ???
Great post as ever Gonzo, had a proper belly laugh. Been watching your content for about 7 years (?) now. Always on point! Keep it up mate.
You asked the right questions, Why are we just scouting him? Why don't we just get him? But, you didn't answer your pertinent other question. Why has no one else come in for him? Answer the last question first, and maybe it would lead to the answer to your original questions.
Cmon be sensible Gonzo,we have no ambition or money, why would any half decent player join West Ham
Looking forward to Luton Town winning the Champions League 😂
Reality is we sell Antonio 34 years and get Wilson 32 years old....
It's the clubs excuse, for not getting him. We tried!.
Is that the excuse you tell yourself when we don't get the players you would want?
@@Douglas-xs1bf I don’t need a excuse, because it’s not me that buys the players. I will except what ever players we get.
Why would You scout him Poppycock. He is been out there for 4 years!
That would be a marque signing for a good fee a think a bidding war might there might be some bids might be going in for him.
Since we're part of the Commonwealth, would he count on the local quota? Heh. Srsly, I would be very happy to have a Canadian on the team. Home land meets native land.
As been said you don,t tell the car dealer you,ll pay full asking price do you 🤔
I’m not convinced he’s the answer. Doesn’t judge me as a striker who can cope in a crowded box, with the fullbacks whipping in crosses, which is exactly how Loppy set his previous teams up to play. It’s got Javier Hernandez again written all over it.
If it’s an established forward we want then En-Nesyri is the answer in terms of the options from abroad.
Crap signing... mls standard and not the Premier league
Answer.... players change / form
all clubs looking at him... doubt we will get him
The difference this time is a different manager and a different way of playing and system and will he fit into this and the criteria now may be different than the Moyes era and obviously the club have had fingers burnt re strikers before for various reasons the problem may also be the other clubs who want him
I highly doubt the club will bring David in…
I know who johnathan davis is but not johnathan david
Know him because I'm American 😂
I don’t I’m still under a rock
Same ole story… it might be paper talk 🗣️
I’ve also wanted him for years but have always wondered why he never moved on. You’re right that we all know how he plays and his strengths/weaknesses but maybe the scouting is based around issues outside football. Makes the negotiation easier if you know all about his situation and make him feel you’re all about him. Tim seems to prefer to work on a personal level
Get it done West Ham before we miss out yet again.
Gonzo its 25m to buy him and chelsea and man u are looking at him 👍
Cheers mate
Why the wait? Well despite some people on this very channel bragging in the past that WHU is the 15th richest club in world football the facts say otherwise. We are lacking the proverbial pot in which to piss. And David, like any decent player will cost.
2:35: I knoww, for reaallllll. how can you possibly need to scout him again. We all know what he brings.
Here’s an idea, instead of “weighing our options up” that we hear all the time from the ITK’s , how about we actually go for the player we want, I know it’s a radical idea but 🤷♂️
Sorry i dont see it, he seems to be a fox in the box striker to me. I prefer En Nesyri, he is a better match for J-Lops system. If he really was the next big thing then why aint top teams lining up for him like Seehpu Guirassay?
I would be absolutely amazed if West Ham get Jonathan David...
If West Ham management keep quiet and then suddenly sping up a surprise with Jonathan Daviid on a jet with Tim Steitden or at the West Ham stadium along with Max Kilman, Amadou Onana and the England Under 21 Captain...Happy Days.
Teams are trying to whip up bidding wars, not take first available offer.
It makes my piss boil hearing about all these links to players when we're skint (apparently) £50 million according to the itk's be honest once we sign Kilman the cupboard is bare ok i know stop watching these channels 😂
Yes. What is the delay. Has Sullivan put the brakes on signings as it seems we're going just as slow.
I assume all Premier League and even championship clubs Scout the big Continental competitions ( it would be a dereliction of Duty if you didn't), so it's it makes sense to spend some of that time Gathering more information on a player we have scouted for years. And like any other decision making process the more information you have the last chance of making a mistake. especially when players very rarely move while that participating in international tournaments.
@@ilanbd5799 I get that. But what about Championship targets. We could at leat be getting on with that. I'm just worried with almost everybody up for sale, a massive amount of work to do and little action. In addition the cost of building our thin squad after selling more players and then the club saying they're skint worries me. Then there's the cost of Kilman which if West Ham are a little bit skint, would leave us hardly anything to fix the other positions. I hope I'm worrying for nothing.
.@@johnexpatthailand2142. I agree there is a lot to do but I still think it is a little bit early. Majority of players are still on holiday and there are still two major competitions going on at the moment if things don't start moving in the next two weeks I would start getting very worried
As other commenters have mentioned, the reason I think David is being re-scouted is b/c Lop and his staff need to know how the player will fit into his system. It’s not generally good practice to rely on scouting reports that are old, esp. if the reports are more than a year old. Also, scouts don’t always agree on the pros/cons of a player and some might notice flaws that other scouts. With so much money on the line and our history with overspending for strikers, it’s better really be sure and re-scout a target than just going off feelings and an eye test.
If the rumours are to be believed and the potential transfer fee is as good as being mentioned then wish we would just go out and get David. There again I'm probably just being naive and know nothing about how transfers work.
WHAT WE ARE WAITING FOR.
IS SULLIVAN ANGLING FOR A CHEAPER DEAL.
Wish we got told what is actually happerning. We have money, we dont have money. New manager would have been promised certain amounts of signings and now we seem in termoil. Im so confused and cant keep up
100% no brainer, gonzo get in the motor and go get him mate
It’s not quite Youssef En-Nesyri 😂
It could be that they have better than David?
Copa America
Just keeps repeating all he speaks about
Get lost then.
What a reply asshole
This transfer window is starting to really worry me...
Why
Calm down it's only been officially open for a week
Because we aren’t really going for him.
Like every other player we never get.
🤔 So whose this Johnathon Davids bloke ?
I know you probably filmed this yesterday (wednesday) but you've put it out today so Canada v Peru wasn't yesterday
You obviously didn't hear him say, yesterday but 2 days ago as you watch this.
I do have a general gripe about how long things do seemingly take in the transfer market. Weeks to agree a price on a player? Really?
Negotiations with team then player then personal terms , then contracts think how long it takes to buy a place it takes time
I think we are skint by all accounts ! Maybe it's a Sullivan ploy to turn his head towards the premier League and then play on the players desire to play in England by driving the price down ! We've been here so many times before
