At 7:38 when you drag the red square what on the keyboard you were pressing? I simply draged it with left click and my outline moved to color layer, it didn't duplicated.
@2:39 I don't reflection tool is not working properly, as when you making reflection it is exactly pasting opposite but in my case it just pasting around the shapes. I don't know how to explain it to you.

I used the pen tool to draw the left portion of the face. Then cleaned up the line by selecting both lines and using "shape builder" hold option/alt on your keyboard and click the line you wish to delete!
Mine does not automatically go to the right side when I use the reflect tool. Is there like some preference or setting I'm missing? I mean it does reflect the vector but keeps it at the left side. Need help! :)

you need to click only in the outline path, pay attention how the arrow icon indicates a rectangule seconds before he delete the path

Make sure to remove the fill on your color panel and only keep the black stroke

How were you able to cut into halves the first circle you drew with the ellipse tool
Hover over the anchor point with the direct selection tool and press delete.
