    dude! this is the greatest video. My steering slipped out on me while in the middle of the yard. Mike, your presentation of the information is prime! I like your personality, even like your singing...I do a little crooning when I work. Take care, sir. I'll be in on another Cub Cadet maintenance video. I'll probably need a John Deere video or two as well.
    Thank you!! and God bless you, sir.

    Mike….you forgot to tell the people to get the steering wheel facing the correct way up top before tightening the nut on the steering shaft….details Brother….don’t forget about the details….otherwise another great video full of good information….have a blessed day!!

      Excellent point, I didn’t even think about that. Guess people will just have to learn that one on their own, it doesn’t affect the steering at all just makes ya look goofy. Dang it now I am going to have to check mine pretty sure it is sideways lol

    I actually changed mine last summer and I didn't have to remove the plate. I had a helper hold the steering rod up and reached my hand up in there to replace the bushing. Working alone I could see your way being a little better.

    You can carefully grind down some of the pinion gear packing it not to loose any pins then use a washer the thickness of what you ground off.[if u're as cheap as I am😁.

    Great video. The first one I've found that actually explains things. My problem is that when I use the impact to loosen the tie rod nuts, the whole bolt spins and the nut doesn't move. Is there a solution to this problem?

    • @MowerMike
      @MowerMike  2 года назад +1

      The top of that bolt should be a bolt where you can get an open ended wrench on it and hold it as you unbolt it.
