So much easier to get the carb off that way instead of removing the bracket that holds all the linkages. Thanks for posting this. I’ll def be using that short cut next time I have to take it off 👍
Just sharing a tip, especially because these tend to run really lean / really hot. There is a screen inside the fuel inlet on the factory carb. I have a neighbor that got his mower replaced twice, and I refused to work on the mowers because I knew this but it would void his warranty. Its not even in the parts breakdown, but the line gets lots of organic grass and wood pulp type materiel built up. You actually have to pull the metal inlet out, then the screen will come out, usually pretty dirty. You would figure they would keep it limited to inline filters. I have seen it on both the craftsman's and toy-bilts I have worked on, cant guarantee its on a Cub. I do have that engine with a hole in the block out back, Ill try to confirm its on that carb as well for the cubs too.
@@drdirt9379 It does but is difficult to get out and many times will not reseal, Look into it to see the screen and blow through the area where the needle seats to get debris out without removing the inlet
Thaks for the information, It had the MTD Chinese knock of engine. I set the RPMs to 3400 WOT no load, I set the governor and the throttle cable along having to bend the tang where the governor spring hooks up to. Thats the only way to increase the RPMs after the governor and throttle cable is set. I made sure the electric choke works as its suppose to. That way cold with choke on will start up. Thanks for the info on the RPMS , I set at 3400 just seems like it needed a little more . Thanks for the video.
Need help mine wont do anything it has a mew battery been running ok i checked safety switch on the discharge output and even added a tapping screw in it tohold the cover tight over the switch so now what should i do its a 2018 30cc cub cadet help
Haha normal use!! Not sure I always seem to smash, step on or leave one hooked up to melt against the muffler before they have ever went bad. Think I probably have bought a dozen have maybe 6 or 7 still around. Mostly have so many because when they stopped making them for a while I couldn't find them for anything! Really good product but I do recommend taking them off the plug wire before that exhaust heats up real good
Have you ever removed the deck on these? I bent the front deck bracket that is welded to deck causing the front of the deck to sag. Im thinking of removing the deck and trying to straighten it back out or replacing the entire deck. Have you ever dealt with this yet on the cc30h?
Yeah have taken them off quite a few times, not horribly difficult but the back is better done as a team effort because it has to slide on both tabs at once. Hope it goes well!
@IndRepair thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind when I do it. There are no videos on RUclips for the deck removal that I have found for the cc30h.
It can be done by yourself. Youll have to grab it from both sides as you stand behind the mower to get it back on the pins at the same time. Took me a few tries but its doable.
Mine started stalling out mid mow under load. It's only year 2 old and it's been scheduled shop winter maint. twice already, to the tune of several hundred dollars total. 6,700 sq. ft . is my res. size yard and the 16th cut this season. Not Happy. I read about the ethanol gas no more than 10% and fresh gas. So I just put a an Oz. of Seafoam in and in my storage can. She started up and ran, we'll see what happens next mow.
I do not really have a preference. Most of the aftermarket stuff seems made from the same factories no matter the brand. The Hipa ones do seem a little better quality controlled but not really sold on any of it being quality
I brought mine about 3 years ago, it was a brand new return at Home Depot for $1000.00 I couldn't believe it. I was just looking for one and went to Home Depot for something and their it was. Question do you think it's a go idea to add fuel cleaner to the gas, maybe once a year to held keep everything clean? also I use a bagger and the grass use to shoot all the way over to the left bin from the right, now it starts on the right and falls to the left. I changed the blade and still the same, so I'm think I lost power even though it doesn't sound like it. What do you think?
That's awesome! I would check buildup of debris or grass in chute or under deck. These hurt the suction very quickly. Also check the deck level. Thanks for watching!

Thanks great vid I have the craftsman version it stalls after about 20 min Like it’s running out of fuel once it cools down it will run great again for 20 min the solenoid works great fuel flow to the carburetor when it stalled out I threw a new plug on cap and could see and feel the spark , do you think the carb shit the bed ?
@@IndRepair not yet had shoulder surgery so it hard with one hand but some days it works ok if I keep throttle lower ,when it acts up I just leave it for awhile and go back and it will be fine for about 30 min , do you think I should order a new carb ?
I agree that taking the top cover up on this engine is a pain, however the chaos inflicted on small engines that are stored in garages or sheds, or God forbid outside. Need to have this done at least once a year. The reason is simple, Senor Fluffy mouse. The damage that fluffy causes is so out of control in many places and so extreme that I don’t see a choice.
Yeah it sure is pretty poorly made but it is the only mower i know of that is made anymore since Snapper stopped making their 30". Stuff gets messy quick this time of year I clean up all the time but half hour later you wouldn't know the difference. If it was all where it was supposed to be I probably would never get anything done haha uphill battle. Thanks for watching!
Everything is going the way of the most money being made possible. It is all getting really cheap but they still don't lower the price. Thanks for watching!

They do have these and many smaller and larger carburetors have them also with this same brand/style. Thanks for sharing!
The metal inlet were fuel line meets carb ?
This is what he is speaking of yes

I have this same mower and needs a carb what brand carb should I get for it.?
Whatever brand you feel like. Check the bown no matter what brand you purchase the quality control is pretty bad on any of them. Thanks for watching!

3,300 RPM top speed on these models

What is your carb screw setting at?
Low idle setting?
@IndRepair the brass screw on the backside of the carb. Not sure what it's function is.
I am not sure what it was set at, it changes fuel mixture at low speed

We use distributors for ours but you can get them all over online for pretty cheap
Wow, they were 950 when I purchased mine, and I thought I overe paid.
Inflation is crazy isn't it? They seem to be coming back down slightly now but WOW!
