You can have all profesions/crafting types on one character, you just pay to switch between them, higher level more silvers :) you dont loose any progress when switching profesion.
That's great. I really wanted all of those professions and don't have the money to buy so many characters or discipline upgrade thingies. How much does it cost to change professions on highest level?

I think it's better to buy the additional crafting license in the gemstore once (maybe twice if you want to have 4 on one character). That way you could switch to 3 different characters that have different max crafting professions.

Thank you for this video, I never knew about the right click on a material while on the Crafting Station menus to go straight to the item on the Trading Post. I've used GW2Craft and GW2Efficiency but I didn't know about the API option on GW2Crafts or the crafting project function on GW2Efficiency. Really helpful hints!

@@screamingopossum7809 Each world completion gives you 2 of the item used to make a generation 1 legendary. If you wanted 10 generation 1 legendaries, you would need to do world completion 5 times (but that would be a project that would take me a few years lol) Also you get rewards for everything you do during the process so maybe some people find it profitable.
I feel ya, I've been playing 7 years and havent gotten out of WvW long enough to get it once (60%-ish?) but if I were at 92% it would bug me way too much, I'd have to get it done.

I would imagine a scythe you might have some success with, though likely not very well. They're those long tools that you would see the grim reaper carry. Sickle on the other hand is like a tiny scythe that's closer to your fingers.
you should have added the fact that you will need to get the gathering gear areas such as copper from begginer material, steel meduim to low and darksteel for higher to low becuase i kept trying to gather only using copper and lost out on a lot of matials
I just started playing yesterday and learned you can bank materials directly from inventory so I started saving them instead of selling lol but I assumed you could have 2 so I'm saving all mats related to jewel crafting and scribe cuz those usually end up being the best

I noped out of crafting in 2012 and I've still not gotten into it since it seems to require mountains of mats, time and gold with the game being so easy to level in that crafting wasn't much needed at all. The prospect of levelling a character entirely through crafting stuff has some appeal, especially since I've massed mountain of mats from lots of playing and have nothing to do with them except sell them all for a few golds on the TP. Guess the real purpose is all those endgame legendries that you absolutely need crafting to make and to give you a long term project to work on.
Any suggestions on what to pair each crafting discipline with per toon? I have Tailor, Artificer, and Weaponsmith on my Virt condi mesmer for armor and weapons. Not sure on others, and to get the last license slot or stick with 3 licenses per toon. Thanks
you know.... I have been playing Guild wars 2 ( Xxjtchdxx - main Character ) for about 4 years, and I have yet to know all these mechanics.... mind you, I have been playing off and on. I have been playing WoW PS lately, and surprisingly, I got hooked into it,. I also tried WoW Retail, but for reason It did not appeal to me the same way WOTLK did ( that's the PS I am currently playing. ) But coming back to GW 2 this year, I have been getting back to it. I was finally able to get to lvl 42 on my main, and proceed the main story as a guardian... but holy hell..... I am currently trying to lvl up to perhaps.... lvl 50, to then go back and comeplete that story, cause I can't do shenanigans as I am right now. Part of the reason why is because I do not know all of these nifty tips and tricks.... sure their are content on YT, but they are not as " simple " yet informative as Muk's videos, and I am glad to be able to learn more and enjoy game as intended. :) long and boring paragraph just to say, thank you., and I would like to see more in the future.
Since you can access professions on other characters easily and transfer items with the bank, it isn't a huge deal what profession you have on which character. Early on I'd recommend your "armor profession" such as tailor if you are light armor, and maybe a weapon profession you are interested in, such as artificing for staff. In time you would get all the professions on your toons so you can access anything you want or need.
Even though I strongly feel that the gw2crafts could be/should be (needs!) the simple upgrade to actually update with your progress, to make the site even simpler - I still liked the guide Muk. :) And I even leveled my leatherworking up on my ranger today as well... Without any problems, so now its time to work out where to get my ascended healing gear recipes... But seriously though, it already has the API key, WHY does it not show your progress... :(
That will usually be the master crafter vendor right next to your crafting station (occassionally one from another crafting discipline like a master cook for jugs of water).
My only complaint about crafting since I just started my legendary crafting journey is that your character can’t just have all the crafting specialization active at one time. I have to make an alt just to start leveling another craft unless I wanna switch back and forth which messes up my crafting recipe order….
I'm having issues with crafting. I'm following the guide from gw2craft and ive gotten to level 49 but I'm not level 50 to proceed to the next step. How do i continue to get xp if only new recipes mainly provide the bulk of xp gain? After crafting up to making 18 resilent chain boots, i cant access the level 50 section because I'm not level 50 yet. Am I missing something? I do have the guild bonus from my hall running as well

Yes, but I will admit I'm not an expert on that. I know a few tricks, for example making reinforced boreal weapons then selling them can get quite a bit of cash, about 9-10 gold per weapon, they require eitrite which is from bjora marches.
Uhm no. It's neither outdated nor bugged, but there are two important things: The big one: Do NOT bookmark, refresh or reload one of the guides. It will change the road to 400. (It even says so on the page) and will use different recipes and materials. If you keep the site open and get the entire initial materials list, you will NEVER have to buy extra. The minor one: The site does not factor in crit XP gain, so you will often reach the next level barrier before you crafted all the things on the list. You can remedy that by buying materials slowly to make sure you don't have excess stuff or you deal with it. It's just a gold or three, but if you want to, you can save it.
I probably missed it, but want to notice that crafting gives huge amount of xp, if you start leveling craft at level 5 you gonna be 80 before you max out your crafting.
@@MuklukRUclips You get xp for about 7 levels per profession. When the game came out you could litterally level to 80 with it but many years ago this was changed.
If they haven't changed it, it should be 10 levels if you go to max (1-500 or 1-400 for jeweler) getting up to 400 on the other professions gives about 7 levels I believe. When cooking maxed at 400, people used to use it as a cheap way to get 10 levels quickly
This is why I fell in love with crafting in Elder Scrolls Online but have had zero interest in Guild Wars 2. The crafting here is so un-intuitive and unrewarding in the long run where as in ESO, you can put so much work in and be richly rewarded for it.
I mean you can craft the strongest gear in the game. Idk how that is not rewarding and on top of that you can earn shit amount of money with it so Idk what you talking about

Just a note. The GW2 craft page API key works best in Chrome browser. I could never get it to work in Firefox.

It's optional. You can even level a character up by crafting, it does give exp, and you can use it to get upgrades at any level.

Because that character has only spent 1 hero point unlocking firebrand axe and then stopped lol the second point gives the tomes

The minor one: The site does not factor in crit XP gain, so you will often reach the next level barrier before you crafted all the things on the list. You can remedy that by buying materials slowly to make sure you don't have excess stuff or you deal with it. It's just a gold or three, but if you want to, you can save it.

I probably missed it, but want to notice that crafting gives huge amount of xp, if you start leveling craft at level 5 you gonna be 80 before you max out your crafting.
I actually didn't know that! I've done most of my crafting on max level characters so I had no idea :o
@@MuklukRUclips You get xp for about 7 levels per profession. When the game came out you could litterally level to 80 with it but many years ago this was changed.
If they haven't changed it, it should be 10 levels if you go to max (1-500 or 1-400 for jeweler) getting up to 400 on the other professions gives about 7 levels I believe. When cooking maxed at 400, people used to use it as a cheap way to get 10 levels quickly
This is why I fell in love with crafting in Elder Scrolls Online but have had zero interest in Guild Wars 2. The crafting here is so un-intuitive and unrewarding in the long run where as in ESO, you can put so much work in and be richly rewarded for it.
I mean you can craft the strongest gear in the game. Idk how that is not rewarding and on top of that you can earn shit amount of money with it so Idk what you talking about

always hated the crafting in this game and most MMOs you ever heard of this tiny mmo called endless online? to me that game is the only crafting done well in an MMO and its from 2004.
