This one is obviously not as miraculous as those games: Herm Edwards recovering and returning that fumble when the Giants were running out the clock won the Eagles that game and (I believe) got them into the playoffs. That's an iconic moment and is so unlikely -- it's a big reason why the "kneel down" play is so common today. Teams used to just hand it off, and the running back would prioritize possession... but after seeing a team screw it up, it went the way of the dodo. The "Miracle at the New Meadowlands" was also truly miraculous, and I still think it's the only NFL game to end on a walk-off punt return TD (at least in regulation). Plus, the Eagles made a huge comeback to tie it, but then they took it up a notch and scored *another* TD while still in regulation to win it. Of course, that game had huge playoff implications, too. _________________________________________________________ That being said, I'm not trying to hate on the Giants. This is obviously an impressive win, and 17 points is a lot to overcome in the 4th quarter. That being said, the Eagles JUST let a very similar thing happen to them, like, a month or so ago... so how miraculous is this game, really? Maybe I could see an argument being made that it's a "once in a year" type come-from-behind victory for the Giants. I'd say the two Eagles wins were more like "once in a decade" type come-from-behind victories, though, and they definitely had more drama. This is still a classic game and a great win for the Giants. It may have altered history - the Giants made the playoffs by one game that year. Who knows? Maybe if they don't pull this one out, they miss the playoffs and Coughlin [or someone] gets fired. THAT would have almost certainly impacted the Giants 2007 season........ which is the one in which they went 9-7, sneaked into the playoffs, and then went on a "once in a generation" type playoff run, culminating in a victory over Tom Brady and the undefeated Patriots in the SB. That's my analytical take on it, anyways. So, regardless of what the game is "considered" to be, it certainly is a shining moment in NYG football history... Hell, I'm an Eagles fan, and even I can appreciate the history here!
I was pissed when the Eagles lost this game but 2010 was revenge for this game tho... That felt good watching Tom C and Giants fans lose there minds...
It's absolute crap how when the two teams meet, the Eagles are shown more appreciation. Think about it, when they come from behind and beat the Giants..."it's a miracle". When the Giants comeback against The Eagles...no title...no appreciation...nothing. Screw that! Here's one for the Eagles, "PAYBACK IN PHILLY!" Also take your five Miracle wins against us and compare them to our 4 Super Bowls!
Then why was the passer rating of "Mr. Clutch" only 83.8 in the 4th quarter. In the last 2 minutes, he was as likely to throw a TD as an interception, 22 for both.
NFL Films is located in Cherry Hill. They're biased to the Eagles.
@@sleepingdeadman1 Then they Eagles didn't win a playoff game after that 2010 game. I'd say the loss to the Packers cost the Giants playoffs in 2010.
Giants clicking..Laquon Rookie of the Year.
MAN OF THE HOUR !!!
I feel old when they call a game that was played in 2006 when I was 12 years old...... classic.... or Throwback.
"Get that shit outta here!"
Loved every moment. Thank the late Steve Sabol for using parabolic microphones.👏👏👏👏👏
Eli to Burress..almost the same route and play from the SB 07 Win...I call that the "Giants Special"...lol
The difference is that back then even when down the giants could come back at any given moment these days once they are behind it’s all over
Eagles fans were so pissed especially after what the mic picked up Plaxico yelling at the Eagles fans in the stands.
That 04 qb draft class is still imo the best overall qb draft year in nfl history
They'll always show the eagles comeback against us but the biased NFL never gives credit to the giants and their comebacks
Hahah the dislikes are eagles fans hahah
I was pissed when the Eagles lost this game but 2010 was revenge for this game tho... That felt good watching Tom C and Giants fans lose there minds...
and 2017
I love watching this video! 🤣🤣
Younger Joe Buck was so lifeless and seemed so bored. He’s gotten a lot better now. Still not spectacular but better
Respect Eli, he wasn’t the best qb but he was insanely clutch
Indeed, but he was a "Less Wreckless" Gunslinger than Brett Favre, but a Gunslinger none the less.
Yo I heard that! 11:17 minutes in the 4th quarter the announcer called barber " barbie " & corrected himself real quick!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Oh the good old days
Tim Carter with two huge plays man
Ref. missed the holding call on S. Brown during the winning touchdown. You can clearly see Plaxico’s jersey being ripped from the shoulder pad.
That's why I've always dubbed Eli as Mr. Clutch.
A very clutch gunslinger. Threw a ton of INTs, but had no quit. Played hard for his teammates.
Then why was the passer rating of "Mr. Clutch" only 83.8 in the 4th quarter. In the last 2 minutes, he was as likely to throw a TD as an interception, 22 for both.
He is basically the recipient of very favorable, even misleading, headlines when he won and took no blame when they lost, even if it was 100% on him.
@tomknapp6194 I called him Mister Clutch, not Mister Perfect. Go back to sleep troll.
As a giants fan I wish I can say this were our good years but nah, the next weak we would lose to the lions 3-0 smh
that throw at 15:24 is just proof that Eli was prepared for SB 42. No luck involved.
Yes, all arm...toughest throw in the game.
Looked like a warm up for future play off games, Eli to Plax, Giants Win ❤
This is one of Eli's top 5 games passing!
@Jill Conner: Can you please list the other “4” ? 🧐
