Most ofMy best memories of football are from the swamp in the meadowlands. My father had Jets tickets from 78-10. I know that Giants fans n the atmosphere are quite different but that stadium could really rock. I forget what year it was but during the Parcels/Pennington days w Curtis Martin the J-E-T-S had a RARE home playoff game against the Jags n the Stadium really turned the tide by getting behind the Defense when Jacksonville was going to take a commanding leaf n with a sack, 2 offside penalties and a critical stand. They went from inside the ten to missing a 45+ yd field goal. Jets went down scored a TD AND came back for I believe 23-20 win. Unfortunately we lost to Elway in Denver in the championship game.

Too bad he had a fraud coach around him named Andy Reid, and an organization who didn't get him any WR Help until TO which didn't mesh well. At least now we gave hurts help, and he's the 2nd coming of McNabb.

@@mariosnum1fan yeah he was. He was the reason we lost to 2 inferior teams in the NFCCG and the reason we lost SB 39. Buccaneers and Panthers weren't better than us. His Hyper conservative playcalling got us 3 points in 3 Quarters after opening up with a touchdown. McNabb wasn't perfect either, he did try and force some stuff and choked vs the Panthers. But when the org gave him T.O. he went to the Superbowl even though T.O. was hurt. And Reid Choked the SB away by wasting the playcall. He's done better in KC

People forget just how bad Eli was back then, he wasn't awful, but by no means was he a top half QB in '07, so no one expected that amazing playoff run. That Giants defense did work, but Eli stepping up his game undoubtedly contributed just as much as that defense. I mean to go from 16 points after his defense had 12 sacks to being near flawless and passing for 1000 yards in a postseason? Amazing

12 sacks, 3-4 more within a nail and its still a ridiculously close game. That over the line TD was really really close and changes the ending. NYG v Eagles always played close games in those days

Great offensive line through this period. I think Eli relied on Tikki alot and took him 3/4 of the season to get ahold of the offense. The Defense well it was amazing rooks and vets one of the best in Giants history.

"They're taking it to them every way you can" - John Madden. Eagles fans talk about the times their team beats us but you never hear them mention games like this...or in the 90s- 2000s....Giants won 9 straight. Last game the bad Giants beat the crap out of them. They knew their playoffs ended right there, the Bucs only threw the dirt on them. The Giants killed them & dug the hole.

This game is a shining example of why Andy Reid doesn't have the super bowls he should. Inability to adjust. When your o line can't protect you have to get creative with the run game instead of letting your QB get destroyed the whole game.

Can't imagine the level of whiplash Eagles fans went through in that two week span. They put up 56 against Detroit the week prior (42 of which came in the first half as Al Michaels mentioned a couple times) and followed it up with an atrocious performance like this. The Giants had quadruple the number of sacks as Philadelphia had points. Yikes.
