Suzie, do you ship to the UK?
😙X
@@aasiyasameer3316 for real👍💯
Def the most helpful nail channel on YT. Suzie is fab! Ive learned so much watching her vids too!😍
Thank you for teaching us even the not so fun parts of doing nails 💛
Ya its not glamour BUT A MUST
@@NailCareerEducation BAHAHAAAAH-
im only 14, but i want to be a nail tech, watching you really motivates me to doing this, thank you for being awesome!!
i was hoping you would start doing videos about keeping things sanitary! thank you!
Just because u spray a file with isopropylic alkohol it doesn’t mean it’s free of any bacteria or bacterial spores
@@Ola-dw2fb thank you!
Thank you so much for this. I have reusable files from a different brand. They say that they are reusable but had no instructions on how to clean them. I primarily do my own nails but do occasionally do a friend or family members nails. I give them thier own file and keep it in a bag with the name. This is such a gift. I love you Susie. You saved me some coin. 😍♥️♥️♥️
Although I don't personally enjoy having anything on my nails, you'd best believe I watch all of your videos! Mostly for your calming nature but you're an excellent educator, I've learnt so much over the years.
Thank you for showing us this I wondered how you would clean a file. I have one that says it washable but I wasn't sure how
Short but sweet and full of information for both professional and keen amateur. I have a set of these files but they looked so lovely I didnt want to ruin them by using them. At least now I can keep them tip top. Cute towels too !
This is great! I washed my files from you last week and hoped I was doing it correctly. Thankfully I did!
You are the best teacher ever!!
You've Taught Me More Than Nail School! Thank You Soo Much 💓
Suzie! The bell!
Thanks for the tips Suzie. Honestly, I just watch your videos cause your voice is super soothing. Not a nail pro/tech or anything (I do dabble with polish though).
I absolutely adore your videos they really make me want to pursue a career as a nail technician either now or later on in life if I don’t end up liking the current career route I want to take which is becoming a world history professor! I’ve binged your videos for over a mouth now and have learned so many terms and techniques and was actually inspired to get my own set of short square acrylics for the first time because of pride month coming up!!! Thank you so much and god bless you Suzie!!!
Thanks Suz for advising on keeping one set for each client.....good lesson
Thank you for sharing! I'm starting to do my own nails plus some friends nails so I wanted to make sure I could keep everything clean! 😌
Thank you so much. Can not wait to do this to my files, since I start nail school next week.
Thank You Suzie. You are always so helpful & Amazing
Thank you my dear Friends for this wonderful video!! Now I know how to make my files last ❤!! Stay safe my dear Friends ❤💋
Only *some* files are made to be used more than once. In Aus we have a variety of brands that have reusable files with a rubber middle so u can wash them and it’s perfectly fine to do so. I personally don’t like to reuse files i think they’d never be fully clean but as long as no clients are getting infections (and i’ve never heard of it happening) i don’t have too much of an issue with it i guess
Wow! This is really amazing! Thanks ma'am.
Been watching for a year. Never responded. I really love you and your personality- your videos are wonderful. I’m not a nail tech but I love to watch what you can do with nails and how wide the experiment of nails leads...love from Ga. I’m going this weekend to get black French !!
I had no idea you could clean and sterilize nail files! I always assumed you had to through them away after a couple of uses. Wonderful! Now I can make mine stretch longer and I won't feel so wasteful. Thank you, Suzie!
only the ones that are non porous. they teach us this in nail school…
Thank you, this video is so helpful. God bless you☺️
Love watching your videos tysmfs 💖💗
I LOVE these files! They are the best!!!
Thanks Michelle 👍🏼
This is super! Thanks so much for the info 🥰
Although I had to turn the volume down because that sound goes right though me.. I absolutely love your videos!
I’ve found them so helpful the ones that I’ve seen so far🙌🏽
love those towels!
Great tip to know thank you for sharing that 😊😊
I got my new brush today!! Next is the set of files.😍
Loving the glasses in this video!
Wow , that’s a great Idea, thanks
At my nail tech school I was taught that files can't be sanitized or disinfected with bleach or Barbicide because they are porous. This video confuses me because I was told this.
i’m in tech school and they taught me it depends on the file. there are single use and reusable they could just be outdated
I was taught the same
I’m so confused as well
I’m a nail tech as well and yes please don’t do this. Only glass and metal files can be properly disinfected the ones shown in video cannot be safely disinfected. Don’t be cheap and risk giving a client an infection. Buying files in bulk and throwing them away after use is a lot cheaper than getting sued or paying someone’s hospital bill
@@Pokstarr Can you tell me how to properly disinfect metal files?
THANK YOU!!
This was very helpful
Thank you for this
so glad you made this video! my hesitance to get them was not knowing how to sanitize them. even if it's just me using them lol
I was just wondering about how to do this! Thank you so much for teaching us. ❤️
Hi Suzie! Thank you for the great videos! I'd like to request a topic - how to make wide nail beds look narrow, especially with colored acrylic. Help! Ty!!
Thanks 💖
Very cool😃
Great information 🥰
Hi Mentor Suzie. Thank you for another great video.
Thank you Suzie! Please can you adopt me🤣 i need you in my life daily 💝 thank you for being the absolute Queen of Nails for us All! 🤩
Thank you I always wanted to know the proper way to wash my nail files
Great video!
Thank you for the informative and entertaining videos and your amazing files. How often would you recommend someone do this for at home use normally with use on one person?
I LOVE YOU!
Love when I see your videos pop up. 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💅💅💅💅💅💖💖💖💖🌸🌸🌸
lol
thank you
Can you use gel polish (for example a clear top coat) in replace for nail glue when putting on full cover nail tips?
Love your videos! So helpful. Would this work on buffer blocks as well???
What do you think of the crepe rubber that woodworkers use to clean debris from their sandpaper? I use that before sanitising.
When you are at home and you want to do your own nails just with polish do you do the prep like gel or acrylic?
Thanks for this video! This will help me with maintaining my personal files. Unfortunately, Bodysafe (Toronto) doesn't allow us to save files per client, despite any cleaning. :/ I've switched to the stick and peel ones which seem good. What's your opinion of the metal reusable diamond files?
Thanks for another great video, what is the ratio of alcohol/bleach to water?
Honestly you are the reason I started doing my own nails. I can't wait to get my hands on these one day. What part of Canada are you in? I need to visit to your salon. I told my husband we are going to Canada so I can go to Suzie's salon! One other question what are some tips you have to avoid filing your cuticles while hand filing? I struggle with that a lot right now.
Thats a great question- move slowly- make sure you have the right angle with yr bit and the right bit
Thanks
now I know what to wish for myself for birthday or christmas!
I have been wondering about file cleaning...I just kept forgetting to google it *looks down at the floor with embarrassment*
the music in this video is really tickling me it's so intense and exciting for the content 😂 But this is super helpful info!! I always wash my files under the tap since I just use them on myself.
Can you do this with other files that are the same grit but just a different brand? love your videos so educational :)
Happy Thursday x
Hey, SUZIE!!!
Could you PLEASE review and swatch Anacrylics product line? Asa beginner I would really love to know if it's something I should look into getting for my collection. I have been a long time fan of you and your educational content in your channel here for years. I'm now getting into learning how to do nails myself and I really want to learn to become a nail tech in my area! Thank you for being such a huge inspiration😁
We are only allowed to disinfect stainless here, I do this for my personal files tho!
Salon use is highevel disinfectant immersion for 10 minutes on non porous items... Oregon
Thanks for sharing, ♥️ your vids!
Same where I live . Files are one use only
I've painted 1600 press-on nails for frontline workers who have to have short nails for their latex gloves (they can dress up when not working). I always run out of sizes 4, 5, & 6 nails, with tons of 9s left over. What do you suggest?
Well in my country rule is to throw them away there is no cleaning way of them, its one time use product at home its ok to clean them like that but yeah ladys if any pro salon re use them run away .
Or maybe lets inform the salon there us a protocol for soft items- they may not be aware. Rules and Regulations are often upgraded and they may have missed it-
thanks it help
I never even thought of cleaning them xD
I only have hand files and I struggle to smooth around the cuticles without scraping my skin, do you have any tips/tricks?
What about drill bits? How do we clean those
Helpful hint on not getting fined in the United States! Most states cosmetology boards have outlawed the use of files that are multi use and can be sanitized. Most states do mandate you only use single use files now and for past years! If in business and owning a shop you need to look over your state’s laws first before using multi use files!!!!
I’m also going to keep my clients files to use on them during their visits. I think it’s a great idea.
100%. If it’s their file, why is it a problem? In fact we did this for years. And never had any issues. I understand cleanliness and I understand the protocols but we are being ridiculous if we’re throwing away Files after one use when we can simply use it on the same same customer.
There's guidelines on how to use nail files in some countries/cities?? I didn't know this!!
can you only clean washable files?
In United Kingdom process is similar. But in Ukraine we at first put files (or manicure bits) in special solution (similar to barbicide), and only after that we wash them under tap water. We do it in this order because we believe that contaminants on files (bacterias and patogens) will fly everywhere with splashes if to wash first. For manicure bits there is additional step - autoclave or high heat steriliser. In my opinion files should not be re-used, even when used on same person quantities of grow with time, and better to increase proce for $1 then later have customers suffer with nail deseases.
Honest question. Could you also use a sanitizing light to help extend the life of your files? We just use them on ourselves, so I knock off the excess & then clean with a light for 30 mins. Is that safe? I can’t find the answer online🤷🏻♂️
I suspect this Light needs to be a light meant for sanitation - if your using it on yourself only especially
Please do how you grow your natural nail in 7 days
Love love love I'm just asking can u do more videos with grant
Good video
Legally in the uk I’m not allowed to reuse files professionally but good to know for my own personal ones ^^
I’m currently going to nail school right now in California and they’ve taught us that we cant reuse ANYTHING porous including files 😭 anyone know anything about this?
Im a nail stylist. These files can never be sanitised. Idk why she made this video to be honest 😬 if you are doing clients you need to throw away the file and use a new one with every person. She also said that good nail files are hard to find which is not true. You only need to check the grit number and you are good. Ive been doing nails for years and i love my ali express nail files that i but in bulk.
You can maybe do this technique she is showing here if you only use the files on your own hands but even thn, once you wet these files they will never work the same anymore. I would advice to just brush the dust of and you should be good to go.
Same thing in Nevada. Files and buffers are a one use only product. Plain and simple. While I love Suzie and her info, this info is wrong!
Try some Ericas ATA diamond files if you’d like to cut down waste, while using Barbicide and hopefully an autoclave!
Same in Utah. Nail files like the ones she’s showing are one-time use files here.
@@lynnrahl3352 plus hers are SUPER expensive.
I "suppose" it's "ok" if you don't have to answer to anyone.
😊
I've been wondering how to clean mine at home usage for me. beginner only can do my left hand. thanks so much I'm was using polly gel omg my files where so full of product. I'm going to save so much money now.just buying new ones like I'm a richest queen in the world. I'm going to do this now
The slow monomer isn't available on the three sites I checked. Is it unavailable? I thought the powder determined the curing time. My mind is blown. Because I have been confused these past couple days about dip or dap powders and regular acryllic powder. I've been fixated on it, and I wish you could explain it to me.
Suzie. How did you know my files came in yesterday?! 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Can you use spiritz?
What if i use vinegar which is natural?
I’m so early !!!
Is it bleach and water or alcohol and water? Or is it a different combination? I heard one thing and read the subtitles as another so I got a bit confused lol.
I love your videos so so much, you've taught me so much that I know about nails! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and kindness 💕
It can be different everywhere- wanted to encourage Professionals to seek the rules in there area-
10% Bleach 90% water
OR
70% Alcohol
@@NailCareerEducation Thank you! 💕💕
Home user only. Thank you! All makes sense; TY for percentages in DIY disinfectant spray. I'm sure this will work for ne.
* after filing, I wash/dry my hands; use 90% alcohol disinfectant on cotton ball on nails; dry; rub liquid flax seed oil I to nail beds, cuticles, etc. (recommendation from VietNam vets group re: toenail fungus). Healthiest nails ever. Flaxseed oil nourishes nails, gives a bare nail shine and after soaking in and wiping off excess I can still proceed to base coat, polish, top coat.
Hi umm this question aint related to the video but can i ise uv lamp to dry and harden my acrylic powder nails?
No. It hardens on its own.
Do you have a process for cleaning all of your nail tools?
Will you come out with disposable stick on/ peel off nail files?
That would be nice because the only company I know who has this is Russian and getting things from Russia to the states is almost as fun as importing from Asia. I wish more oversees companies went with Amazon, makes it easier to buy their products in bulk! 😒
Tammy Taylor has a line of peel-n-stick
@@Saitaina tammy taylor nails has peel off files and are very good quality. You can also buy them on amazon. Glitterbels is another brand with peel off files. They are metal and very good as well. You can order off their site or from thenailthrone
How do you clean e-file bits Suzie??
I soak in acetone to clean debris then disinfect 👍🏼
In addition to Susie’s excellent reply, get a small GLASS (acetone eats plastic ) spice jar, put bits and acetone in jar, put lid on - shake like no tomorrow.
Helps dislodge some stuff.
Pleas can u make a video about the product that used before gel polish and after gel polish and how to apply gel polish pleas 🥺
Susie I have been trying to get in touch For 2 reasons 1 is to ask if you can just buy the clear cap the other is I got the pride brush and it's a lot smaller than my white and gold brush Is that how it's supposed to be
Check your email sweetie- Pride Brush is a Oval 6- white one is a oval 8
Can a mr pumice stone be sanitized? I live in Texas and a few weeks ago I went to a salon and got a pedi, they used a used mr pumice stone on me and my mother in law and we kind of just looked at each other and wispered if it was ok. I didn’t want to be rude and say anything. But I definitely won’t be going back there.
No it absolutely is not hygienic!
Suzie is based in Canada and they have different laws and rules for disinfection than other places. They are able to use alcohol as a disinfectant whereas in my state I cannot, so this could be correct information for where she is located but it all depends where you are!
There is NO WAY to properly clean a pumice stone. I can only imagine the bacteria growing... yuck! Report the salon to your state board.
Erica, Texas state law says every salon MUST have an autoclave for your non porous implements.
Anything non metal gets thrown away.
Thank you!
How often should you do this? If they are personal use.
When they stop doing what you want to once a week. Personal flavor. I do mine before every color change which is two weeks.
As often as you seen fit- not too long ago we NEVER did this and i really didnt experience much diff - but they woulda been cloggy with product - and debris- if personal use as you wish
Thank you 🌺🏵️
You don’t rinse them off after the soap scrub?
Hi Ryan's mom Sam here.... I'm loving all these cleaning tips but I do miss watching you doing nail designs and you only post once a week and this week is just three minutes I feel like I have been short changed 😥😥 now I have to wait until next week 😯 oh well
I wanted to possibly buy your cuticle oil but I have many allergies. Is there a place to find all the ingredients to make sure im not allergic?
Yes email me at Nailcareer@me.com
Thank you So Much for Show me How Clean My Nail files. Because I Used them Twice Then throw them away. Go Buy Another one.
Nooo! Lol - just clean them 👍🏼🤍
