I lost my entire pinky nail due to the greenies on my dominant hand. Between me and the technician, neither of us caught it before it was too late. And very thankful that I have this info now so that I have the ability to advocate for myself. I know a few nail techs in my area that will find it to be rude. Just for anyone else’s info. I’ve had the greenies twice from press ons due to my negligence in letting water and stuff get under. But what I did was take everything off and file down as much as could be safely done and I bought a breathable polish. The breathable polish allows the spot to be exposed to air and not spread the bacteria and also I wasn’t walking around with green spots on my nail.
Press-ons are the worst honestly. Most are too curved to fit properly and the glue bubbles easily, leaving big air gaps. This is what happened to me too, and a big part of what made me go buy a beginner kit and basic efile. The press-ons with the tacky tabs I don't mind cos they're only for a short time.
Yeah, press ons are hard 😓 The good and bad thing about glue is that it comes off easier than gel or acrylic. It’s good because removal can be much easier depending on how you apply it but then the bad thing is that it also lifts 😫 That’s why I tend to use gel if the press ons are translucent/transparent or I use acrylic if they are opaque since I’m just more confident that I won’t get any air bubbles or lifting that way!
@@Jiminie53421 I love press ons, and I want tu stick them with acrylic but I want to find a HEMA free acrylic and monomer since I’m allergic! Kiara Sky has launched an acrylic press on kit but their acrylic primer contains HEMA, so can’t purchase it
Great tip with the breathable polish! I got the greenies a few times with press ons, too. At first it freaked me out but I didn't put anything on it until it went away. If that ever happens again I'll get ahold of breathable polish. Did you use ORLY?
Same, but I only had my nail on for like 4 days but I have an immune disorder. Now I only use the gel glue stick on kind..that seems to not hold in germs.
I also learned how to do nails from Suzie's videos! It was about 5 years ago when I decided to do gel and acrylic nails on myself to save me some money. I had no idea how to do it or what I needed to buy, so I started a search on youtube to find out all the answers. I watched a whole bunch of videos from other nail technicians and they just made me more confused than I already was. Then I found this passionate and professional nail tech, who was able to answer every single question that I had. It seemed like she was reading my mind! I have been watching NCE videos from then on and never stopped doing gel acrylic nails on myself. So many people tell me it looks like my nails are done by a professional, without realizing that I'm the one doing all the work in my living room while watching movies on tv to keep me entertained for a good 3 hours. This is all thanks to Suzie! I'm so proud of my nails because of her! Thank you ever so much for all the knowledge you have provided me over these few years. By the way, I never had any greenies on my nails, so I guess Suzie does a pretty good job teaching this amazing skill.
Just got back from a family wedding, and my sister in law was so jealous of my nails she said she would fly to Texas to go my salon. I told her to save her air fare and just watch Susie! Can’t wait for your slow setting monomer to be restocked.
Susie is awesome but your comment caught my eye because I'm back home, in TX, for a wedding and I've been doing my nails for under a year and while doing a new set for the wedding, I discovered greenies on 2 fingers 😭🤣
I had this issue once with press-ons. Thanks to your vids I've learned how to prep my nails for gel fills properly and I'm super paranoid about having it happen again so I'm always careful. Love you for helping us become better at DIY
During the pandemic we did a deep cleaning of everything at work. My hands were in water a lot and banged up my nails. I had on a polygel set of extensions. I developed a greenie on 1 finger on my dominant hand from what I assume was a lifting from banging, water and the dirt I was scrubbing. It was a light green-ish color when I found it. It took 1-2 wks to clear up. And, I also learned a lot about nails from watching Suzie and have really enjoyed using her nail products.
I had a greenie once, my former technician blamed on me repeteadly... I am a teacher, I write with pens a lot, but since I follow you I've learnt soooo much I have never got a greenie again, and I do my own nails!
Suzie u are just so freakin sweet 😊 seriously u were born to be a teacher for sure ❤❤❤ the way u “critique” her nails melted my heart…ur so sweet and u point out the issues without degrading or bein a you kno what is just wonderful we need more of you all over the world!
This video is so relatable! I too began doing my nails as a result of covid. Been doing them for 2 years and had the greenies once. The acrylic I had used was dark, so I couldn't see that my nail was affected. I was just going to do a fill in, but my discovery of the green middle finger caused me to remove all the nails because I was paranoid that maybe it had happened on another finger as well. And I was right! My thumb also got some greenies :( Thankfully, greenies aren't contagious and easily fixable. It just looks a little gross but it will eventually grow out !
I also have lifting as of now. I was trying my new builder gel but was way too gentle with the prepping. I didn't even finish it because I have to remove it. 😢 Its so nice to get a video about this issue.
Love ❤️ your tutorials, I have been doing nails for 15 yrs and still learning more from your videos, I have done the flowers theme on myself and have had lots of comments, thanks Susie 🌹❣️
Oh my stars! Never seen anyone remove gel so fast with a safety bit. I'm impressed. Greenies are bad news. Thank you. I got two on my fingers at the beginning of my nail career and learned my lesson. This was a great video.
Thank u,I clicked so fast because I was scared and thought it was mold Lol this was last wk. I took my nails off and saw one greenie nail and put bleach on it with a q-tip and the stain i still saw i filed and buffed. You're right on time🙂
Nails cannot mold. Mold is a fungus; you can get a fungal infection on the nail, but mold cannot grow on the human body. Living people cannot mold. The only way a human can mold is if they are dead. As Suzie said, the green stuff you can see on a nail is not mold but a bacterial infection. I know you know this now from watching her video. I just wanted to clarify just in case there are others who don't know. I've seen so many people say it's mold right away when they see a greenie, but they don't even seem to know that a living human can't mold 😕 People need to get more educated about this sort of thing!
@@chaozinga See...what i was thinking was something got under my nail like food particals or something not my body just forming mold.I am grateful for this video for sure to see the causes and prevention not many people talk abt this issue.
Oh thank goodness I’ve never had the greenies! I was a bit green myself seeing the photos! Ms. Campbell, brilliant job on your nails! I’m impressed. I love doing my own nails because I can do them whenever I please! I watched a video of you on RUclips and you have an amazing voice with such range! Very talented.
Thank you so much for this video! I've been curious of how to prevent this from happening. I've been starting to do my nails and heard of the greenies, and was scared to have this happen lol. Gonna watch your nail fill video next 😊 Thank you again for the video, looking forward to the next! 😇💕
This is a sary thing! I sometimes overfile, just to make sure I am removing the lift! Practice! Also, arent we all Katie. Fully learned this two past years. Very good content Suzie!!
I love the artform that is doing nails but I do not get mine done because I do a lot of work with my hands and after hearing about greenies I'm pretty sure I will never get them done ever. Yikes! I just love this channel for the beautiful work you do and that you get to teach us about these kinds of amazing and sometimes gross things.
I’ve been doing my own nails now for about 3 years self taught by you Mimi and Zulay and I have a greenie right now and don’t know How I got it so your video is perfect timing lol
Greenies come from what I call “microlifts”. These are tiny insinuations between the nail plate and the nail plate and the enhancement. The nail seems to be fine but it isn’t. I have only experience greenies with dip powder. I have had “macrolifts” where you can physically see the enhancement lifting up. I have found that this is actually a better scenario because in that case if water is getting in, at least you can slip a paper towel near the nail plate underneath the enhancement and dry it out and actually prevent the greenie until you can take care of the nail. I don’t even bother with dip anymore. Gel is better if you are in a profession where your hands are wet. And the best way I have found to prevent lifting and to get the nails to last is with builder gel applying in thin layers.
i had this happen a couple months ago under a set of nails i put on with the glue. i was worried at first but after a quick google understood and took care of it and then let the nail grow out so i could eventually clip away the rest of the discoloration.
I started 5 yrs ago and I was a person that was never into nails then one day I saw a video of Susie using a form and became obsessed with learning to do acrylic and gel polygel etc I do it all..I was 42 when I started & I was completely self taught and then I wanted my license so I got my license and honestly I knew everything that was taught in school actually I knew more way more than was taught…I hate to say that but it’s true..
I am so happy you made this video. I got air pockets on ALL my nails at the same time and I wonder if it was the gel product or if I am doing something wrong.
I always learn so much from Suzie's videos. She is awesome and always so very nice! Thank you Suzie for the wonderful tips and information in your videos. And thank you cameraman for making the videos so professional and high quality🌹
Such a fun video with both of you! I also got into nails for self care during the pandemic and learned from RUclips! So many kind and helpful people here sharing nail tips and tricks!
I have gotten the greenies from press on nails, specifically the ones with the stickers already placed. I am a hairstylist so I can only assume it was from all of the water and debris getting under them. I thought it was hair color. I was wrong!
Thankfully, I caught mine early. I looked up the home remedies if you take a Q-tip and put a little bit of bleach on your finger and leave it for 10 seconds, and then scrub it off do that once or twice a day until it goes away Listerine helps a lot, same thing method as the bleach you can make a garlic salt, onion powder, vinegar, soak for your hand and leave it in there when it’s hot and then once it cools down, reheat it and do the other hand if you need to and that helps to get rid of it
I love learning from you Susie. I am learning to do my nails better and better with your advice. It’s so funny that Katie reminds me of the mother from Home Alone.
Caught the greenies by wearing press-ons to try and grow my nails, since if I didn't have anything on my nails, I'd bite them off quite a lot. Caught them quite a few times which made me stop even trying for a long time (I don't have money to get gel nails professionally done and to maintain them). Rn thankfully I'm being able to grow them through self control, but I'd like learning how to properly put that gel protective layer on top of them. Just found your channel, might be a life changer, we'll see
I watch your videos all the time and have learned soooo much. But for some reason I can't keep myself from getting the "greenies"! What to do? I have done gel and just started acrylics and can get them on very well. Watching you doing the counting has really helped making the right bead!
Hi Suzie! I'm a beginner and I love that you share your knowledge in your videos. I have two questions, not removing the product from the nail can cause the greenies? how often is it necessary to remove all the product from the nail and replace it with new one?
A few years ago I hurt my nails and because I had gel and color I didn't realize that my natural nails got badly hurt. This actually came to light only about 2 weeks later when I removed the product (which didn't lift) and saw blood under the 4 nails...😭 within a few days greenies showed up and it started to burn. It eas painful because my nails started to lift (natural nails, mind you) but the infection kept spreading to the the healthy new tissue. So I decided to dip my nails into white vinegar and I did this for 10 minutes 2 times a day for 3 days and the infection was gone.
Gosh.. I had a greenie last year and when I asked the nail technician what it was .. cause I was worried of the infection.. she just ignored it and did say anything .. and refilled my nails very quickly without even trying much to file it off… such a bad nail tech to not advice me on the problem.. My natural nail got do short and damage even if it was only at the green stage.. I took the initiative to cut the green bit off and now my nail grew back and fine 🫠🫠🫠
Hope it's ok for me to say that Suzy looks absolutely lovely! 😙 Lots of love from Denmark 🤗 please bring back Grant when he feels ready to be swooned over again! (Just make him wear sleeves 🤭)
Omg my nails were the second ones shown at the beginning of the vid 😭😭. Thank you so so much for this, it definitely helps!!! As u can see it was pretty bad- yikes!
Hi Susie, I love your videos. You're always a pleasure. I'm loving the gold sparkles underneath your nail. Can you do a video showing how to paint underneath the nail?
I don’t really like painting underneath the nail -I will build the nail from the top side- but put a colour down as yr first layer so you can see it from underneath
Still celebrating my Birthday 🎂🎊🥰‼️💯🎉😎 through the end of the month. ‼️💯 I'm so glad that you touched on this subject in manicuring school we were taught that this is the beginning fungus stage that has to be corrected immediately.. ⚠️☢️☣️☠️😯👎🏼🧼⚕️ I've seen women that allow this to continue to be untreated to where the whole nail has lifted off the bed itself with a foul odor 🥴🤦🏻♀️👀🤧⚠️⚠️☣️☠️ I say A good rule of thumb is soaking them all off to take a look at it it always have been my experience as a licensed manicures this year 31 years. Sometimes one little air pocket might have others when you soak them off you get to treat it and make sure that is no green brown or yellow in some of the other nails. As the bacteria can spread different nails. Everybody has a choice and your nails is something you should always take care of both on your fingers and toes. You definitely don't want to fungus 🧐🥴⚕️🤧⚠️☠️☢️☠️ pretty creepy and gross. Thank you Susie for always doing a wonderful job. I hope that you will do some designs showing people how to properly manicure their own feet and to make sure that they're not putting jail overlay already over nails or toes!! that have fungus. as I see a lot of people do on Instagram👎🏼🤦🏻♀️🧐
Could you please explain how to treat greenies once you do get one? I appreciate the lesson on how to prevent but I can’t find any information on what to do when you do get one
I've had the greenies so many times....it's part of the reason I don't go to the salon anymore. I live near the beach and the nail techs always blamed it on my hands being in the water too much.
I wash my hands a lot because of my job and being a caretaker. Lots of water, never had the greenies. There has to be an entry point like Suzie says. I do mine at home also, went with gels. Some salons don't seem to take sanitation and sterilization seriously enough. I also sometimes use antibiotic ointment instead of cuticle oil to moisturize my cuticles before bed, just to kill any opportunistic bacteria in the area.
Oh! It just popped into my brain! A practice schedule! Or a hand maintenance suggestion schedule??? I am amazed at how involved it is- your so right to stress “ the little things” make all the difference in your manicure looking professional AND lasting a long time!! Also: is there a time to say “ I need to remove and start over” when you are filling and maintaining your poly gel nails? Thanks again
Great question- you never need to remove your product unless it’s lifted or discoloured or you just don’t want that anymore. But let’s say you wanted French nails all the time you never have to take the unlisted product off of the nail when you were doing a fill so if you wanted to wear French nails for 10 years you never ever have to remove the original or existing nail unless it’s a problem
I love nails! Have been getting mine done for years and really enjoy it. I have painted and fooled with my nails since my childhood. If I were a lot younger I would go to school and do this. Is there something you should apply to the nail if you get a greenie? Thank you for your videos, I learn a lot.
I absolutely love having my nails done too.. also, just wanted to say I’m 44 and have just stated an online course to learn about nails and some other beauty services.. if you can, I say go for it 🤗💐💐
I am still learning and doing it myself you are my first point of reference. Funny enough my non dominant hand is usually the one that is not perfect and currently one nail has the greenies 😂 and they were painful for two days I am taking a break from acrylics until my nails heel.
ive been doing my own nails for awhile ( i use hybrid gel) and for the first time i saw a little green appear and i did not hesitate to remove it. Thankfully i caught it and it not on my nail it was just on the product but i didnt notice a lift i had since i had color so im glad you vposted this video
HI, I have a question: I noticed that you have your efile bits in desinfectant I guess; I was always told they always had to be extra dry when using them. Would you be so kind to explain. If I can use them directly wet, I much prefer that? thank you and keep up the wonderful videos you put out!!....as you can see (see learned from your videos among others)
Just from doing stuff with dremels: there‘s a huge difference in using bits ‚wet‘ with IPA or acetone; and ones wet with water. The organic solvents will just evaporate in seconds, but the water wet bits will have everything stick to them and gum them up.
Total nail noob, but I love watching Suzie at work! I feel like I can't even file my nails right. Every time I do, they end up breaking and chipping like mad! I'll leave the nails to to the lovely people like Suzie 😅
Simplynailogical has a whole video about filing and shaping your nails for beginners :) I recommend checking it out! There are definitely some techniques to just filing a natural nail, even though it seems like it should be easy!
Well I just learned that I did my fill in wrong, I had to take off 3 nails but I am thankful that I didnt get the greenies and the polygel was discolored more. I will let my nails breath for a few days before I do another set. Thank you for sharing this wondering information. Only question I have is - As I am a house mom an do dishes, does that mean that I am more susceptible to getting the greenies?
Thanks so much for your generous knowledgeable videos! I was wondering (i looked but couldn't see any) if you had done or would do a video on what nails you wouldn't work on, what condition would a clients nails be in thay you would send them away.
Hi! I absolutely love your channel! Thank you for this valuable teaching you do! I am one who is naturally pretty creative with my hands and I cannot afford to have my nails done professionally very often…. So you have helped make it possible for me to learn the how too’s and I am enjoying saving money and learning a new skill! I am wondering if you have or could do an all encompassing over view of where to begin when a person knows nothing about this subject. I found that I have begun applying poly gel , buying products and jumping in before I even knew all the things I needed or why. I find that I need a video like “ watch this before you ever begin your nail journey “ . Maybe a 1, 2, 3 and so on series. Lead me through this confusing, awkward time please! Your so good at explaining everything! Maybe I just need to watch more videos but I seriously did not know where to begin. Even the terms you use were not familiar and I needed to know what the heck was an E- file….. or base coat etc….Also i love your comparison videos of the different applications ( poly vs acrylic for instance) but as a total beginner I need to be lead through an over view of one type so I know exactly what products to purchase and exactly where to begin. I tend to be confused as to which application your talking about through the video, just as a beginner. Not to say those are not GREAT and needed teachings….Thank you so much for all you do!!! One more question I have- why are my cuticles getting to raggedy and chewed up after doing a manicure. It is probably obvious that I am not careful enough or skilled enough with my e-file or hand files but if this only comes with practice I am afraid that this may be the thing that is the most discouraging and could lead me to giving up. Sad face. I doubt I will, i am having so much fun, but it hurts! Oh! Another question, I am confused as to when to fill, or when to remove and why. AND does poly gel expand as it is cured? It seams like after doing the pop it’s my nails are so thick! It takes me forever to file them down on the bottom. I have bought some paper forms and plan to try them at the same time as the pop it’s hope that helps. BTW love your soothing gentle and soothing teaching style. I watch before sleep- it’s great. Groom on Baby!
Firstly, i love your channel! I've been doing my nails for a few months. I just discovered the greenies today, removed all of my nails! Now i'm sad and idk what to do? Should i buy a nail polish that gets rid of them? Wait for them to grow out? When can i do my nails again? Is it safe to do gel overlay over the greenies? Please help!
I’ve gotten the greenies once with the gel extension application method :/ (full cover tips) no matter how i prep my nails they lift after about a week or two. I wash my hands a LOT

By the way, I never had any greenies on my nails, so I guess Suzie does a pretty good job teaching this amazing skill.
TOTALLY how I did it too! Good self care with a movie and come out lookin GOOD! 💕
I like seeing you two together. Iconic duo. I really like y’all bantering, exchanging positive energies, giggling. Super fun!
I’ve been doing my own nails since I was 13 (20 years now) and I’ve never gotten a Greenie. 🤞🏽 Thank God.
Please have Ms Campbell on again! She is such a delight !
How do you fix it. I got my first one :/
I had it once and I was told it was mold scared the crap out of switch nail lady and she explained to me made me feel so much better and helped me 💜
Katie is such a pleasant guest! Love these videos so much been a fan for probably close to 10 years now!
I just noticed that I got greenies today after taking off my full set! So glad you posted this! ❤️
I also have lifting as of now. I was trying my new builder gel but was way too gentle with the prepping. I didn't even finish it because I have to remove it. 😢
Its so nice to get a video about this issue.
My fav channel love you and cameraman, taught me many skills this summer. Thank you so much!
I love the fact that the bits are in (i assume) alcohol. I do not go to a salon because it never feels sanitary to me. So happy to see this!
Love ❤️ your tutorials, I have been doing nails for 15 yrs and still learning more from your videos, I have done the flowers theme on myself and have had lots of comments, thanks Susie 🌹❣️
Nice!
I’ve had a greenie once, after getting my nails done at a salon. Another reason I wanted to learn to do my own nails. I love these videos!
I've seen so many people say it's mold right away when they see a greenie, but they don't even seem to know that a living human can't mold 😕
People need to get more educated about this sort of thing!
@@chaozinga See...what i was thinking was something got under my nail like food particals or something not my body just forming mold.I am grateful for this video for sure to see the causes and prevention not many people talk abt this issue.
@@chaozinga nails cannot mold -> mold is a fungus -> you can get fungal infections on your nail. This entire string of thought is illogical
Thank you so much! ❤️
Empress of teaching is here 💕💕 lots of love
Thank you so much for this video! I've been curious of how to prevent this from happening. I've been starting to do my nails and heard of the greenies, and was scared to have this happen lol. Gonna watch your nail fill video next 😊
Thank you again for the video, looking forward to the next! 😇💕
I also got from press on . And tks u i don't find any video for this topic . Tks u for making this video
This is a sary thing! I sometimes overfile, just to make sure I am removing the lift! Practice!
Also, arent we all Katie. Fully learned this two past years. Very good content Suzie!!
Your looking Fab and looking much younger!♥️♥️
I love the artform that is doing nails but I do not get mine done because I do a lot of work with my hands and after hearing about greenies I'm pretty sure I will never get them done ever. Yikes! I just love this channel for the beautiful work you do and that you get to teach us about these kinds of amazing and sometimes gross things.
Love your videos Suzie so proud of you 💜💜💜 we love you wish I could get my nails by you!
I’ve been doing my own nails now for about 3 years self taught by you Mimi and Zulay and I have a greenie right now and don’t know How I got it so your video is perfect timing lol
Mimi is not the best to learn from :/
Suzi probably doesn’t even know who they are. She is an actual teacher, 30 plus years in the game.
Its the water… your gel must not be sticking well to your natural Nail
@@Nique0920 now I’m curious about Mimi. 😂 gonna go look for her lol 😂
@@mayraheart8878 her names is lovely mimi haha
And the best way I have found to prevent lifting and to get the nails to last is with builder gel applying in thin layers.
i had this happen a couple months ago under a set of nails i put on with the glue. i was worried at first but after a quick google understood and took care of it and then let the nail grow out so i could eventually clip away the rest of the discoloration.
the only thing I don't like about your videos, Suzie, is that they end ☺
I started 5 yrs ago and I was a person that was never into nails then one day I saw a video of Susie using a form and became obsessed with learning to do acrylic and gel polygel etc I do it all..I was 42 when I started & I was completely self taught and then I wanted my license so I got my license and honestly I knew everything that was taught in school actually I knew more way more than was taught…I hate to say that but it’s true..
You always give the best advice! Everyone should know how it happens and what to do to avoid it! licensed or not.
I am so happy you made this video. I got air pockets on ALL my nails at the same time and I wonder if it was the gel product or if I am doing something wrong.
I’ve had the Greenies but never ever knew how it happened ‼️ Now I know thanks to Suzie ♥️
I always learn so much from Suzie's videos. She is awesome and always so very nice! Thank you Suzie for the wonderful tips and information in your videos. And thank you cameraman for making the videos so professional and high quality🌹
He is ESSENTIAL and a real life sweetie!
The camera man is 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
Such a fun video with both of you! I also got into nails for self care during the pandemic and learned from RUclips! So many kind and helpful people here sharing nail tips and tricks!
Sometimes you make me want to change my profession. I LOVE THIS CHANNEL.
I always instinctively took off that lift area off because it was so satisfying to take off. I didn't know it prevented greenies.
Yay in-person guests!
Right? So happy bout that 💛
I also learned to do nails from watching your videos lol you’re the best!
😂🤣 I have a feeding I know WHY you loved her nails. They looked like yours? 😂🤣😅
Love your videos. I am learning so much.
I have gotten the greenies from press on nails, specifically the ones with the stickers already placed. I am a hairstylist so I can only assume it was from all of the water and debris getting under them. I thought it was hair color. I was wrong!
First video I’ve watched of you! Liked & subscribed immediately! You’re smart and an absolute sweetheart 💚
Welcome to my channel 😊💛
Thankfully, I caught mine early. I looked up the home remedies if you take a Q-tip and put a little bit of bleach on your finger and leave it for 10 seconds, and then scrub it off do that once or twice a day until it goes away Listerine helps a lot, same thing method as the bleach you can make a garlic salt, onion powder, vinegar, soak for your hand and leave it in there when it’s hot and then once it cools down, reheat it and do the other hand if you need to and that helps to get rid of it
Suzie I noticed my very first greenie today! I RAN to your RUclips page of course. Taking notes as I type this 💅🏼📝
😳I’m here to help
Loving the glitter under your nails Suzy
I learned how do do my nails and bought all the stuff to do my nails during pandemic
Liquid Fung-Off Nail conditioner is great for extreme cases of fungus. Can get it at Sally’s. Highly recommend.
This video however is talking about pseudomonas, which is not a fungus. Thanks for tip about this though
my mom doesnt like nals, i love nails... your whole channel feels like hanging out with mom doing something we absolutely love
I love learning from you Susie. I am learning to do my nails better and better with your advice. It’s so funny that Katie reminds me of the mother from Home Alone.
Yes she really does. And your welcome sweetie 💛
YAY!!! Another person is back ❤
Hi Suzie! I'm a beginner and I love that you share your knowledge in your videos. I have two questions, not removing the product from the nail can cause the greenies? how often is it necessary to remove all the product from the nail and replace it with new one?
I really love watching your videos
A few years ago I hurt my nails and because I had gel and color I didn't realize that my natural nails got badly hurt. This actually came to light only about 2 weeks later when I removed the product (which didn't lift) and saw blood under the 4 nails...😭 within a few days greenies showed up and it started to burn. It eas painful because my nails started to lift (natural nails, mind you) but the infection kept spreading to the the healthy new tissue. So I decided to dip my nails into white vinegar and I did this for 10 minutes 2 times a day for 3 days and the infection was gone.
I’m glad you got rid of that! Sounds painful, all of it! Well done!
Omg that’s terrible. I’m glad you’re okay now. What caused it? And how are you preventing it from happening again?
I learned with you tooooooo‼️‼️‼️
Hope it's ok for me to say that Suzy looks absolutely lovely! 😙 Lots of love from Denmark 🤗 please bring back Grant when he feels ready to be swooned over again!
(Just make him wear sleeves 🤭)
I don’t usually like guests but she was so lovely I loved this vid
Omg my nails were the second ones shown at the beginning of the vid 😭😭. Thank you so so much for this, it definitely helps!!! As u can see it was pretty bad- yikes!
I’ve had this happen and had no idea what caused it.. thank you so much for another wonderful video (class)
You are soooo gentle!! I love my nail lady but she is rough
Hi Suzi,
Love your videos! Have you made a video of odd shape nail beds and how you handle those situations?
I just found you and i'm in love with everything you do and teach us, you're the best💗
Love this video! And loved Katie and her music!!
🌜🌒🌕🌘🌙
I've had the greenies so many times....it's part of the reason I don't go to the salon anymore. I live near the beach and the nail techs always blamed it on my hands being in the water too much.
Lol that’s often a scape goat. But no, water can’t get in unless there’s a opening
@@jessicah3450, antibiotic oil sounds like a good idea.
Well there must be something with the name! I also sing, decorate cakes and love doing my own nails with experience learned from Suzie!
Me too!
It's a GREAT name! ❤️
Awesome Video!! Your hair looks beautiful 😻 🙏💅
Love this channel!!!!
Thanks!!!🥰😘
What do you use to to disinfect and clean your nail bits?
Love this video and all your videos. You are such a wonderful teacher!
I absolutely love having my nails done too.. also, just wanted to say I’m 44 and have just stated an online course to learn about nails and some other beauty services.. if you can, I say go for it 🤗💐💐
You are never too old to learn and change careers! You should do it!!
I am still learning and doing it myself you are my first point of reference. Funny enough my non dominant hand is usually the one that is not perfect and currently one nail has the greenies 😂 and they were painful for two days I am taking a break from acrylics until my nails heel.
I love Katie💚
THANKS for you videos... I love them. Amanda
ive been doing my own nails for awhile ( i use hybrid gel) and for the first time i saw a little green appear and i did not hesitate to remove it. Thankfully i caught it and it not on my nail it was just on the product but i didnt notice a lift i had since i had color so im glad you vposted this video
Baking soda and vinegar
Then follow by argan ove oil mixture to disinfect.
You can also use hidrogen peroxide.
@@maddieb.4282 oh amazing! i'm going to go look that up right now. Thanks for the info! :)
Good evening Suzie,
May I ask: could you get the Greeny from tools not being cleaned properly from the Salon?
Thanks so much for your generous knowledgeable videos!
I was wondering (i looked but couldn't see any) if you had done or would do a video on what nails you wouldn't work on, what condition would a clients nails be in thay you would send them away.
We need to see the fill!! I miss the guests on your channel!
❤️
Can you please make a up coming show on greenies on Press ons? How to avoid greenies on press ons. Thank you 🙏
Yep please
I have had that once before, didn't know what it was and did just what she said. Buff the worst away and wait till it grew before doing new nails.
