I appreciate that. I do all the filming and editing on my phone. Some day I will have to get a real camera and a computer. I want to make better videos, but for now, it is what it is. God bless you and yours. Thank you
I have a Thermos brand slightly smaller heater that says only use Thermos brand fuel….I haven’t used it yet but will use Colman or Walmart white gas in it…can’t find a date on it but it’s old. Have fun stay safe.
Kinda neat to see the inside of one of these. For future reference, you had your channel locks backwards from how they are supposed to be used. Curious to see the results of the HEET experiment on this. Hopefully it'll have good results for you. Wonder if a soft bristle brush to agitate the surface might be advantageous like that of an old tooth brush. Have a fantastic 4th, I am working all day so I won't get the opportunity to enjoy it. Oh got a reel in specifically to use with that fishing rod I found. Hopefully get it spooled with line. Missed out fishing this weekend, everyone but me was ill. Goodluck on the cleaning experiment.
The brush I showed in this video is the brush that damaged the dome. It has medium plastic bristles so I wouldn't recommend any brushes. Have a great Fourth of July. Happy Birthday America!!!
I have not lit mine yet. Cleaned it up a little and lubricated the moving parts. Everything is moving freely. Not gonna light it until cooler weather comes back.
It's perfect for small shoos, cabins or an ice fishing hut. And it's a nice heat that warms you all the way through. Cheers to you and thanks for watching
How does the wick move? If the fork moves, but the metal wick tube is screwed tight, so how does it work? I thought the wick stays in place, held tight by the metal holder. The second metal tube is not as tight and could slide over the wick. The wick can't move.
I don't believe it is meant to be moved. It is pretty much set at a height and depth. It might be time for you to go to www.oldcolemanparts.com and get a new wick. I may be totally wrong about this, but it seems to me the wick holder is clamped onto the wick permanently. Thank you, be safe and best wishes
See my other Coleman Avacado Heater video here. It shows how to light it.

Cool, it's just a large lantern with a diffuser. - 👍
It does crank out some nice heat.
Thanks for sharing this. I just had one given to me. Going to watch how to light it 👍
Be sure to light it outside. When it first flames up it could be a pretty tall flame!
Enjoy! Thanks for watching
@@OliveDrabAlliance Thanks again ODA. Will do 👍
