  • This is something that anyone can do over a weekend from start to finish. The problem that I had came from the fact that I was using parts from the scrap bin to make this work. I really dont know what to say other than if you have any questions please ask. If you want to ask me directly email me at SlantDailyGarage@yahoo.com

    I always heard that the single barrel carb and the later emissions systems were what really choked out the slant, and that scrapping both of those really wakes it up

      Yes a super six intake set up with a larger exhaust really wakes up these engines for sure.

    that was too easy . sounds better than any of my old slant sixes .

    I really Enjoy your channel! Two slant sixes as my dailies for over 23 CONTINOUS years... At 64 years young I pretty much have the carburetor thing figured out... So I don't think ANY fuel injection is in my future! But I love to learn, and observe the facts and figures from all your efforts. You are the only one I know that is so pro SLANT! I hope your channel continues to grow and thrive this new year! Later, Frank at Mopar Restos in Summerville, Ga.

    Love Slant Sixes. This sounds so smooth and responsive with the injection system. Great video and testing 😊👍

    I love it when you said, “why do people ask why you change things up?” For me, it’s how I learn . When people ask what’s better, I can actually tell them. Great video 🚒👍

    Nice work. Subbed. Looking at a green Swinger around the corner from me that is slowly being eaten by a bush. It needs to be rescued.

    Looks good, and looks pretty easy to set up. I thought about getting that system, but the price here in Australia, makes it race team affordable, not street driver affordable.
    Thinking about doing an Arduino based multipoint EFI, but with a single barrel manifold and a throttlebody that matches the size of the carburettor flange opening, sort of thing where everything except the pump can fit under a stock sized aircleaner for a two barrel. See if I can make it run clean enough to be close to modern emissions, as part of a "Reuse/Recycle" mindset.

    Really enjoy your channel, been following for a while...especially the Hemi build, curious to see how the oiling mods workout. You should get a Dragy so you don't need to wait for the track to open back up...

    I wonder if you could tune each injector to the length of the runner due to the position of the barrel to the runner?

    I love someone using the slant six, as it's one of my favorite engines.
    That being said, some constructive criticism that may help you get more out of your system.
    You need to turn the throttle body 90* with the primaries on the driver's side of the engine bay. You're essentially making uneven plenum lengths for each side when you arrange the throttle plate with the Primaries front and the secondaries rear. It also allows for a smoother transition for better throttle response and easier adjustment. not a big deal with the factory one barrel, but with a 4 barrel carb and intake it starts to be an issue. Free horsepower is free horsepower, and is worth exploring. Much luck to you in your future endeavors.

    Is this EZ-EFI 2.0 kit? Why preheat engine? Didn’t want initial learning to be on cold engine or wanted to increase probability of initial start success or decrease wear and tear on cold engine?

    Ive got a 87 225 in a 47 dodge 1 ton, the 1920 fires right up and purs, but it takes a little umph to get up to speed, thinking of buying a 2 barrel intake to get a little bigger carb, what kind of intake is on your rig? aftermarket ?

    Sorry, I didn't understand your comment about the throttle body setup where everything was bad. What was the back story on that stuff? Do you have an electric "lift" pump to bring the fuel up to the big black Edelbrock fuel sump thingy in the fenderwell? How much was this whole setup?

    • @SlantDailyGarage
      @SlantDailyGarage  Год назад

      Yes lots of things were bad because this is the left over returns from Edelbrock. These were not new parts and this is how I can do these projects so fast and cheap. The stock pump on the engine is the lift pump that feeds the Edelbrock sump in the fender well. Cost?? I do not know since I work for Edelbrock I get an employee discount and like i said above I get the warranty parts also.

    Not my intent to sound like a smart ass but what about water, dirt , Pebbles ect getting blasted / coated inside the fender well ? is it a complete sealed unit including connections? figured you would think of that ahead of time. Great stuff Shane

      @SlantDailyGarage  Год назад +2

      Yes it seams to be well sealed but we will find out soon enough. This is why I do this so my viewers can see what works and what does not.
