  • This was shot in real time and most of it was a continuous shot. This carb is unbelievable with how versatile it is. This is a slant six and is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to performance. This is why my reactions on here are 100% real as the video goes along. I will be driving and tuning this carb in the up coming videos and like always we will hit the track with a blistering fire breathing blast down the 1/8 as we test it against the other carburetors. Then we will also be posting up the MPG vs the other carbs as well since this is a daily driver. If you would like a full over view of the carb go check out Muscle Car Solutions and click on the link below.

      That is the best description for it i have heard so far. My race car "Cookie Monster" has a quick fuel 950 cfm on it..... or should I say had? I will be using one of these from now on.

      I don’t know how taking an already existing design and making it better and making it yours is a knock off. Holley fanboys say some stupid sht

    The slant 6 was actually advanced talk about 6 cylinder lawn mower engine 216 chevy with babbited rods rod caps had dipper hooks to dip into oil in small troughs in the oil pan. But for years it was the only engine chevy offered and outsold ford many of those years. They were easier and cheaper to work on. I like your video down to earth. Thanks

    Fun stuff. Boy does that Chrysler run nice with the Edelbrock.
    I once put a Weber 2 barrel on my old beater Datsun that had a 1 barrel and the same thing happened. I was stunned.

    My question lies, I have cowl induction with the seal and all of that jazz, and the seal is pretty tight. I hear these are taller, so I wouldn't have room. Does the air filter sit at the same height while the barrels are elevated?

    • @SlantDailyGarage
      @SlantDailyGarage  9 месяцев назад

      It is about 3.750" from the base gasket to the flange for the air cleaner. What carb do you have so I can better answer your question.

    • @Ogre302

      @SlantDailyGarage It's a FAST EZ efi, which is identical dimensionally to a 4150.

    Should i get a VRS or a dominator style?
    Here is the engine i am planning to build = 393 c.i. 10.5:1 XR288HR on 106, Project X215 heads. It is a custom 3.83" stroke inside a stock deck height block 9.025" exactly.

    • @SlantDailyGarage
      @SlantDailyGarage  4 месяца назад

      The VRS Carburetor is a way more versatile than the dominator. Plus the VRS can be used on the 4500 bolt pattern. The VRS is everything the dominator wants to be.

    Not so much a design triumph (though it is lovely) as a product manager who knows his stuff specifying very clever factory settings.
    You can set any carb just a little fat, wind the idle up just a little fast, and put gigantor accelerator pumps in it and you will have a very satisfactory first run.
    Fuel consumption will be atrocious, but that's what's known as a warm welcome to Holley life, so Edelbrock can get away with it in this case.
