    Dude, I love this channel, I spend a lot of time on my PC working, and this channel just pushes me to want to go outside and chill around town. I moved to a town I didn't grow up in and there is no better way to learn your town than a cruise on the board or bike. I take my old 90's Mongoose Menace out sometimes also, you got me bringing out my vintage gems.

    I love the title man. People who love skateboarding know how this feels like we skateboard to be happy & try not to be so depressed. Like I'm 31 now & I've been skateboarding since I was a kid but the older I got the more pain I felt like I thought it was from skateboarding everyday but around 18 years. I got x-rays & found out i have arthritis so I could'nt skateboard like I did when I was younger like you said you have responsibilies & whatnot too. Like I had to slow down doing big tricks so I didn't hurt myself. Like even though I have arthritis in my lower back I still love skateboarding no matter what. Like skateboarding was not that cool when I was a kid. Like people either hated it or loved it. Like you were a bad kid or whatever they thought about you if you skateboarded or had a skateboard. Like nowadays it changed so much now were everyone likes skateboarding nowadays it's crazy smh lol

    • @dadboard
      @dadboard  11 месяцев назад +1

      As we get older it’s definitely more about finding new ways to skate and focusing on style and selection over hucking and handrails. I think it looks weird to see an older person trying to skate like a 20YO tbh. At a certain point you gotta just reinvent how you approach the art form. It’s still amazing to just be out riding your board regardless of how technical or hard the tricks are.

    Great video, as for the shoes, I also tried putting some vans HD ultra Cush insoles but it made matters even worse. The problem with this model is that the toe cup if too narrow for most type of feet. It's a shame because it's a great looking shoe. Ha! straight up lol'd at 7:10. I'm usually not a fan of youtube skaters ragging on other youtube skaters but that dude who shall not be named is getting on my last nerve. Used to love the guy but anymore it's like "Cry me a river homie... we out here working 9-5's and s**t, trying to scratch out an hour a day to skate". If he is over it, then I get it and it's all good but why's he always whining about it. I feel like every other month it's some emotional crisis with that guy over his youtube channel. You get what I’m saying. I found it particularly hilarious/enraging when he was like “yeah I’ve been drawing for a few years maybe I’ll be a professional illustrator now” like, Dawg, do you have _any_ idea how competitive and daunting that work is? I’ve been a visual artist my entire life and illustration is one of the hardest and most thankless jobs an artist can have but he thinks he can just waltz in with 4 years experience drawing simple characters on an iPad. Idk that part got to me on a personal level lol. Dude needs to go work a real job for a year and realize how fuckin lucky he is that people even tune in to him to watch him skate a flatbar and wine about how the industry is “gatekeeping” him or some shit 😂

I need to get back on that program myself. Been slacking the last year. Can’t emphasize how important your diet and getting as much good sleep as possible is. I want to try the cupsoles but people keep telling me different info on the sizing, gonna need to try them on in person first

      Yeah I feel you. Sometimes just maintaining the tricks you got is enough. I know my limits and what I’m capable of and it sucks sonetimes knowing I won’t ever learn some things because the risk just isn’t justified

      Way too puffy for me, but those were my first legit skate shoes when I was a kid and I loved them.

      @@dadboard I would like to slim down too, but I don't want to sacrifice the width of My toe area and haven't found anything comparing

    Don't be saying you're an old head skater if you're not running an extra insole or aftermarket insole.

      I’m an old head skater and I run stock insoles 😤 not paying Joey Brezinski $50 for his snake oil again 😂

      @@dadboard I think those insoles work great. I use them for work and skate. But any extra insole you put in there is going to help. Maybe don't pay New balance for their snake oil again.
      Better yet do the bowling ball test on those all the insoles and prove him wrong.

    Great Video! There’s a lesson to be had from that curb section and skating the unskated one. I can’t put it into words, but it was really cool. That was a great fake retirement joke, and the Stained joke is hilarious 😂 nollie into the bank over blind bumps was my favorite trick

      I snagged a pair of those on sale and when they arrived I was like holy fuck these are giant lol. My fault for not trying them on first. Idk how people skate in those, way too bulky.

    Ross gets a lot of B grade production and defect shoes. Can’t speak on Nb specifically because I’ve never rode them. But likely why you’re having issues 🤷‍♂️

      Nah it’s just the design of the shoe. I tried another pair of 440’s on from a skateshop and they pinched in the same spot
