Now I just need doors wide enough for mirimbas last year I was in the pit and whenever we had to move the mitimba we had to take it apart so we could get it through doors
This is easily one of the best videos of drumlines on youtube. Proper technique, good sounding cadences, and everyone is marching with the beat. Good job despite being 6 years too late
Matthew Matthayasack this is in Illinois right? I go to joliet central (section lead of from ensemble) and I noticed weaton and decided to click on to see what was poppin
What I regret about band is never trying percussion, im in in 7th grade and play the flute. I wish I did percussion because I really like drums like this
Just do it I did the same thing except with Oboe. I hated that thing and after finally forever I'm doing percussion full time and I don't regret it one bit
I really liked the second cadence, so here’s a notice that ✨Hippity hoppity your cadence is our property✨ My high school is known for some of our older cadences being “ethically sourced”
I feel blessed that my school gets new drums for all 17 drummers every 2 years, but my director doesn't like the Randall May harness so we use the crappy pearl harness
Hey, I might be 2 years late but. You gotta tune your drums higher for better sound quality. Unless you guys cant play together then don't bother tuning them.
There school drums.... last time I checked your not allowed to mess with how there tuned. They can obviously play together really well so don’t be rude.
@@aqua5015 lol I tune my drums at school whether my director or drum tech wants me to or not. I refuse to play on a drum(s) that sounds like ass. I for one like to have quality in my sound.
Mark Aaronson It depends on the school teacher, it’s better to be a good student who respects there director then a jerk who doesn’t. In my school we ask before we tune it because we respect are band director.

bored on youtube you could always try it
You can still do it. Just as long as you learn some of the notes... and practice
Just do it I did the same thing except with Oboe. I hated that thing and after finally forever I'm doing percussion full time and I don't regret it one bit
started off on clarinet, switched to sax, now i play snare for the marching band. you can always make the switch if you work for it.
I switched in 8th grade, and am now one of the best percussionists in my whole high school as a sophomore
Tenors make everything awesome
Bass drums make it better
@@stevethesloth7352 bass drums give songs that extra "boom" (wtf am I doing replying to a 2 year old comment?)
@@duke2457 bass drums are the low range, tenors are that middle voice, and the snare are your high pitch
Na snare all day
@@rawhidelamp he’s technically right. Bass gives boom, snares give umph, tenors give structure

Screw it I’m stealing the 3rd and 4th cadences too. Mine.
Wheaton North Pride! So proud to go to this school!
Well done. Brings back good memories from, uh, the 80s and 90s... lol...
my broke ass school could only afford three drums
+DAB ON'Em we have yamaha
DRUMLINE STUFF that sucks :( my school opened this year and we have too many drums for how many people we have
My he has had the same drums for 15 years.... they said we are supposed to get new ones next year
we have 2 extra snares and like 4 pairs of cymbals too lol
I feel blessed that my school gets new drums for all 17 drummers every 2 years, but my director doesn't like the Randall May harness so we use the crappy pearl harness
I literally watched the one danny Gonzalez video, and now this high schools videos are in my suggested
I legit thought your school was an airport terminal at first. That main atrium/ commons area looked like international check in.
Yes ! You're so good! Good thing I'm going to try the next year! Love 🤜💞❤️❤️
Good luck!
What are you going for next year?
What about the depressed kid with his face shoved on his locker at 5:16 though 😂😅
my school has like 10 bass 6 quads and like 8 snare its a huge Drum line and competes at worlds.
Adam Mcnutt I am pretty sure he's lying, cuz I've never seen 10 basses in a world group
yeah sure
they probably have 2 of each base drum a lot of drum lines do that
Samuel h. Why do we need to know that
Ours has 4 percussionist in total I'm one of them lmao
All this at 7 in the morning. impressive
we have 6 basses 2 tenors and 6 snares and 3 cymbols for use
gotta do a better tap off then that make it funky !
I like the skip that the tenor did at the end there to get back on the right foot hha well done
you really need some new tape
Im trying to transcribe the song at 2:45
I enjoy it very much
Im a tenor player that also watches Danny Gonzalez
What kind of mount did you use? I'd like to try doing this. Thanks!
LynxProd It's called a Jaws mount
good beat
I want to learn how to play the drums because I don't know how to. I just really really want to know how to play the drums love Marquis Robertson
1:29 DDDDIIIIIIIIRRRRRRTTTTTTTT

i was a tenor in this drumline - should i post my tenor cam?
POV: You're playing tenor in a high school band.
As much as i dont want to laugh, this comment is funny
Wait are those paradiddl accent on the quads or singles accept strokes
Hi guys

Braylon Lewis it’s literally in the title
Hi my buddy your guys your boys
yall's heads sounds weird... maybe your drums are out of tune?
+Trillex y'all don't tune your tenor heads? are they stock?
Brazy Bhris also, it seems like they're playing in the middle of the head on poorly tuned tenors.
They sound just fine
Dude needs new sticks
Nice drums and the beat at 1:29 is cool but it wasn't clean. And the playing zones too my man.
