As someone who just started playing this game a week ago or so. I'm having alot of fun with the Cobra Lash, Viper Strike, Whirling Blades, and Blade Vortex. I have no idea what I'm doing and I 100% clear every area because the maps are confusing and I might "miss" something. Anyway, it's quite a good game. 👍
Just remember you can type /remaining in the chat box to tell you how many mobs are left. Also, cobra lash, viper strike and whirling blades are attacks but Blade Vortex is a spell. Cheers! Have fun!
If you like Cobra lash and Viper Strike, then I recommend you to also try their cousin skill, Venom Gyre. Venom Gyre is like a boomerang-version of Cobra Lash, and also has built-in synergy with your Whirling Blades.
Venom Gyre is a similar skill to Cobra Lash, but way more fun in my opinion. I think you get int in act 3, but it shines more when you have better gem setups.
The new league mechanic is kinda hard early, but you can stop the bar with less mobs, just charging it a bit and going out of the circle. Later with better gear, you can mostly do the first one full, but still keep track of how many mobs appear while charging, the 2+ nodes are still hard to clear midgame. Hope this helps someone, I honestly would have skipped this mechanic entirety if I didn't find this out after the first map.
do it full and kite .. also if u are softcore dying is not really an issue :D i always do full and kite the hell out of them ... was fighting an elite that was putting ice walls, healing, and teleporting away from me like too far for like 6-7 minutes lol
15:30 early Leagues and races people who are racing unironically die in Mud Flats all the time. Charging ostriches are very lethal to underleveled characters.
I played this off and on for 4-5 yrs, but now playing toxic rain balista with a build for 1st time. With 2x toxic rains, one of the skills summon 4x balista’s who shoot toxic rain aswell. Combined w/ void support, lots of atk speed supports, and crucial shot, despair, it absofucking lutelly melts everything so far in act 4, i love it. EDIT: Act 6, still melts
I did the same mistake the first time I activated the statue :D. Didn't know you need to hold it longer and only recently I figured out that the longer you hold it, the higher the difficulty. I always went for Lethal and was wondering how hard it is, but did it anyway each time :D.
POE is the exception, I don't think there is another free to play game that comes close to the amount of content for a free to play game then POE, however it's highly recommended to at least give them a little money to support and get some stash tabs when they go on sale, then your set to go. Warframe may be another decent F2P, other then that I don't think anything comes close. the amazing thing about POE is all the money they make from cosmetics and inventory is put right back into the game and has been in heavy development so long that no new online game could even come close even if they had an unlimited budget. The only bad thing is that keeps me from coming back is playing campaign for 100th time to get to the fun end-game which is where the real game starts IMO and I been patiently waiting for POE 2.0 for the whole new campaign and socket system to play again. I just don't want to deal with the equipment sockets anymore and playing through same campaign again.
@@zengrath Warframe is certainly up there with POE in terms of being a completely free game with tons of content. I think in some areas, Warframe even trumps POE in the free to play aspect as even the cosmetics are obtainable without spending a dime on the game. But yeah, POE is GOATED. Fantastic game.

I've even had a guy laughing at me once because there was this quest or hidden quest i never did which signifcantly boosted my power and i never even knew about it, it was years ago so i forget what it was. i guess i just need to read some guides and all because honestly i mostly played the game blind. @@zengrath Yeah, the game can be really overwhelming without the help of guides. Thankfully there's a thriving community willing to help you every step along the way. I'm kinda the opposite to you. I have thousands of hours in warframe but only recently started playing POE. POE is just as confusing as Warframe but I think its a bit more digestible. Also, something about warframe that I really love is that you can earn the premium currency of the game without spending anything.
Haven't ran PoE for a few seasons and this made me want to run it again. My favorite builds in the past were a CI/LL Bane Pop Occultist, and a MoM Golem Elementalist. This season I've decided to run a modified version of both and do SRS Carrion Golems. Not sure if I want to go MoM or CI/LL. I love Energy Shield builds, always have, so it might be that tbh. Edit: Probably MoM. I had a blast using it last time.
2:11:00 100% True and real. I made my first character just willy nilly and couldn't finish the story. Followed an RF build guide and it made the story trivial but the real game starts at mapping anyways so I wasn't even close to end game and it's better than bricking your character and not even being able to play the game.
You can just restart or farm some orbs of regret. Takes like 3 weeks to get to lvl 90 or so if you play couple hours a day. Leveling/theory crafting builds is fun, if you dont find that fun idk if you should play this game. But i see what you mean tho, following a build like RF juggernaut will make the game a lot easier for a new player for sure.

You can do anything in this game. It might not be as min maxed as the Meta builds but it's still viable. If you want easy mode just go RF Juggernaut and copy paste build

He shouldve just rebound middle mouse to spacebar because he doesnt use middle mouse, it has the same ability as right click...
@irradiot The best change i did is flasks on ASDCT and changing 2nd ability bar from Ctrl+ to shift+. And map overlay on middle mouse, i like that a lot.

@irradiot yeah naturually i think for most people your pinky is already on there so it only makes sense. I also mainly use normal skill bar ofc, but indeed for vaal skils, aura's and summons, and maybe a portal gem, it can add up.
Every chapter in the game should have an NPC dialogue that would allow you free full respec once. Those could be saved for later too so 5 x full free respec AND the regret system we have now. That could do the trick.
Here's a tipp to make it easier for you to understand it: The top half of the tree contains nodes for: Intelligence, Mana, Energy Shield... and Elemental, Minion, Curse and Spellcasting Skills The left half of the tree contains nodes for: Strength, Armour, Life, Shield Block... and Melee, Warcry, Totem and Bleed Skills The right half of the tree contains nodes for: Dexterity, Evasion, Spell Suppression, Flasks... and Projectile, Poison and Trap/Mine Skills. Any class can play pretty much any build. The only difference is the starting location on the Skill Tree... but once you've made your way to where you want on the Skill Tree, you're free to continue with your build. For instance: - The Witch character starts on the top side (mainly intellect) - The Marauder character starts on the left side (mainly strength) - The Ranger character starts on the right side (mainly dexterity) - The Templar character starts BETWEEN the top and the left side (strength AND intelligence) - The Shadow character starts BETWEEN the top and the right side (dexterity AND intelligence) - The Duelist character starts BETWEEN the left and the right side (strength AND dexterity). 1:41:30 My first season ever, Harbinger, I played RF and got to level 96. Then they bricked my fucking character by fucking the berserkers ascendancy regen in the ass so my character was now useless in Standard even with the legacy leaf shield whatever the fuck. So I went death's oath next league.

Yeah pretty much. New content patches, called Leagues, get released every 3 months (usually) and you need to make a new character in the league to access it.

P.s. 1) Regarding the crucible: press the left mouse button, hold it until the scale is filled, but thou must not fill it completely, otherwise mobs will be too powerful, so thou need to fill it by a third, for starters. As soon as thou stop holding the button and run out of the circle, the scale will stop filling up. In other words, thou control power of future mobs. 2) Regarding damage, I heard that the chaos is due to a strange mechanic with a crit "oneshots" bosses. I don't know if this is true - I've never tested it. But chaos ignores shields, this already gives an advantage over other types of damage. 3) A coolest chaos ability for an archer is the one that can be charged (can't remember a name): it goes through everyone and then scatters spores that shoot spikes in an area.
It could certainly use abit more on tutorials so you can homebrew on your own more easily like understanding what words mean in terms of gear stats or scaling and probably some better quest direction just to help a new player get through the story quicker since having to pull x amount of levers with no real indication probably has tied someone up for abit which isn't fun. Since first time through it can be alot to take in leading you to make mistakes that will stunt progress.
If someone really want to play the game find a way how to play it 10000+ video on the internet how to start the game and what stats is what soo..and this is a hardcore game so ofc its not like diablo where everything make for 9 years old kids

The one bad thing about this game is that in order to beat the campaign you HAVE to follow guides, or min max by staring at stat screens for hours, and I hate doing either. Inaccessibility has only ever been an issue for me in this game. The satisfaction of the game is a slow burn, but it's such a slow burn that I'd rather play anything else. I'm not asking for any help; I don't care.

tbf PoE is better then most ARPGs if ur interested in actually playing ARPGs 😂 the community is quite small and usually people play very single ARPG and end up with PoE if they actually put alot of time into the genre. Just started p.o.e. it took me literally 15 minutes to beat brutass because I had no idea what I was doing and once my zombies died in the first 5 seconds all I had was my basic attack ... It was a long fight
Depend on how far you want to reach in this game. This game has 10 acts, after you do that, then there is the end game which is obviously more difficult than the campaign . You can always buy more powerful items with currency ( sometimes very cheap ) to progress. Or use some help from others. Or even borrow strong builds available on the internet
Worth it. It’s not as confusing as you think. Use your first character to play however you see fit, once you hit a wall, then you can look up guides and respec/remake.
Resistances have always been a core part of Diablo...especially in D2, which is still amazing since D2R ladder...Go play D2R before D4 releases so that you know what is up. PoE copied so many things, including the resistance structure, yet you claim its a PoE thing.

What do you get from it? The longer you hold it? Just regular loot?

There are also some special modifier, like the one that gives you a unique weapon when you sell it.

im on act 4 now and taking a break. Great league so far the forge is actually hard depending on much u hold it

He shouldve just rebound middle mouse to spacebar because he doesnt use middle mouse, it has the same ability as right click...
@irradiot The best change i did is flasks on ASDCT and changing 2nd ability bar from Ctrl+ to shift+. And map overlay on middle mouse, i like that a lot.

@irradiot yeah i understand u arent gonna change your keybinds after playing for a long time and having the muscle memory for it :) that;s why i always go through keybinds and every single settings on day 1 of playing a new game
@irradiot yeah naturually i think for most people your pinky is already on there so it only makes sense. I also mainly use normal skill bar ofc, but indeed for vaal skils, aura's and summons, and maybe a portal gem, it can add up.

Every chapter in the game should have an NPC dialogue that would allow you free full respec once. Those could be saved for later too so 5 x full free respec AND the regret system we have now. That could do the trick.

it is at the beginning, once you start to invest a few time, you notice that it's not that intimidating as you think
Here's a tipp to make it easier for you to understand it:
The top half of the tree contains nodes for: Intelligence, Mana, Energy Shield... and Elemental, Minion, Curse and Spellcasting Skills
The left half of the tree contains nodes for: Strength, Armour, Life, Shield Block... and Melee, Warcry, Totem and Bleed Skills
The right half of the tree contains nodes for: Dexterity, Evasion, Spell Suppression, Flasks... and Projectile, Poison and Trap/Mine Skills.
Any class can play pretty much any build. The only difference is the starting location on the Skill Tree... but once you've made your way to where you want on the Skill Tree, you're free to continue with your build.
For instance:
- The Witch character starts on the top side (mainly intellect)
- The Marauder character starts on the left side (mainly strength)
- The Ranger character starts on the right side (mainly dexterity)
- The Templar character starts BETWEEN the top and the left side (strength AND intelligence)
- The Shadow character starts BETWEEN the top and the right side (dexterity AND intelligence)
- The Duelist character starts BETWEEN the left and the right side (strength AND dexterity).

I always make it to maps and then everything one shots me and theres no way to get more resist, everything outside of maps drops level 30 items.
you can spec your tree to more resist until you get better gear, should carry you through T1s which will be enough to get you going
Yea, you definitely need to spend more skill points on resist and health nodes.
Farm gear at the blood aquaducts
You can also use purity of elements for a bit untill you get more resists on your gear

1:41:30 My first season ever, Harbinger, I played RF and got to level 96. Then they bricked my fucking character by fucking the berserkers ascendancy regen in the ass so my character was now useless in Standard even with the legacy leaf shield whatever the fuck. So I went death's oath next league.

Every league you get challenges with league only cosmetic rewards, leagues can be done only with league character that's why you make new char.
Yeah pretty much. New content patches, called Leagues, get released every 3 months (usually) and you need to make a new character in the league to access it.
Only league character can experience the new content non league characters don’t get the new content unless it rolls into core

P.s. 1) Regarding the crucible: press the left mouse button, hold it until the scale is filled, but thou must not fill it completely, otherwise mobs will be too powerful, so thou need to fill it by a third, for starters. As soon as thou stop holding the button and run out of the circle, the scale will stop filling up. In other words, thou control power of future mobs.
2) Regarding damage, I heard that the chaos is due to a strange mechanic with a crit "oneshots" bosses. I don't know if this is true - I've never tested it. But chaos ignores shields, this already gives an advantage over other types of damage.
3) A coolest chaos ability for an archer is the one that can be charged (can't remember a name): it goes through everyone and then scatters spores that shoot spikes in an area.

It could certainly use abit more on tutorials so you can homebrew on your own more easily like understanding what words mean in terms of gear stats or scaling and probably some better quest direction just to help a new player get through the story quicker since having to pull x amount of levers with no real indication probably has tied someone up for abit which isn't fun. Since first time through it can be alot to take in leading you to make mistakes that will stunt progress.
the problem with the game is this - you have to follow the game if you want to get past level 15-20

The one bad thing about this game is that in order to beat the campaign you HAVE to follow guides, or min max by staring at stat screens for hours, and I hate doing either. Inaccessibility has only ever been an issue for me in this game. The satisfaction of the game is a slow burn, but it's such a slow burn that I'd rather play anything else.
I'm not asking for any help; I don't care.
Just use purity of elements to get through the campaign.

tbf PoE is better then most ARPGs if ur interested in actually playing ARPGs 😂 the community is quite small and usually people play very single ARPG and end up with PoE if they actually put alot of time into the genre.

Depend on how far you want to reach in this game.
This game has 10 acts, after you do that, then there is the end game which is obviously more difficult than the campaign .
You can always buy more powerful items with currency ( sometimes very cheap ) to progress. Or use some help from others. Or even borrow strong builds available on the internet
Worth it. It’s not as confusing as you think. Use your first character to play however you see fit, once you hit a wall, then you can look up guides and respec/remake.
Resistances have always been a core part of Diablo...especially in D2, which is still amazing since D2R ladder...Go play D2R before D4 releases so that you know what is up. PoE copied so many things, including the resistance structure, yet you claim its a PoE thing.

@@bdog2200 yeah it's a shame, but outside of having to buy a few stash tabs the monetization is pretty honest. they also added a 'free track' to the battle pass for the first time this league in addition to the regular challenges, you'll need to get to maps in order to unlock the BP.
