8499 is a steal for this car. I have been a Honda fan going back to the 1985 Accord and this generation of Accords 08-12 was my personal favorite. I had a ‘10 Accord EX-L, black with rust colored interior. I wanted a V6 but my salesman talked me out of buying a V6 and I purchased the 4 cylinder with a 192 hp VTEC engine. A joy to ride and I received so many compliments from this car. It was just something about this generation. Very spacious, powerful 4 & 6 cylinder engines, and this generation had a regal look in its design.
I got the v6 model and my mom took me to this defensive driving class one day and we were supposed to fill out a sheet with some of the specs of the car and one of the questions was the wheel to weight ratio because there was a sweet spot for where it had to be and my car was just outside of that sweet spot so when my mom brought the paper back she asked the instructor if that was correct and he looked at it and said what engine did you say it had? And my mom explained it was a v6 and then the instructor said mam, I don’t know if you’re aware of the kind of rocket you put your son behind the wheel of and I was just standing there smiling because the car was already paid for and my mom couldn’t really do anything about it at that point but to tell ya the truth that car is definitely a rocket
@@slapshotjack9806 LOL… The V6 motor has a lot of juice. You got a good car but please be careful in it. I just traded in a 13 Accord V6 with 262,000. I loved her but I could tell the tranny was about to go so I traded her in for the new Pilot. I love the power of the V6. It’s a shame Honda has dummied down all the engines in the newer Accords. No V6s, no 2.0 turbos, and no more straight 4 cylinder, 2.5 motor (non-hybrid or turbo). That sucks. You are better off getting an older Accord like you purchased. Good luck with her!!!!
Great review, It may not have the nicest design but Accords are great cars and the V6 version have nice power. You should also do a review of the blue Suzuki SX4 that was next to the Accord on this video. Ps. About the code, many Hondas ask for a code to use the stereo when you remove/change the battery, usually the code comes in a card but if not a Honda dealer can get the code for you (but they may charge for that).
@@minn1122depends on the owner; you take care of the car then the car takes care of you. Mine has 289k rn and I’m just now getting my first motor swap. I’m sure everyone can’t say they lasted almost 300k with 1 motor but like I said it depends on the owner 😂❤

hey! i bought the exact same car with the v6 engine. lookout for replacing the alternator, spark plugs, and generally, the vvt solenoid will start to leak oil, but that can be fixed by purchasing a gasket kit at an autozone or oreilys. that’s its! change oil every 3-5k, change transmission every 60-100k, and this car could outlive you! i also cleaned my MAF sensor with CRC maf sensor cleaner, and cleaned my throttle body. sometimes carbon buildup can cause rough idling and other problems like the check engine light.
@sukipair thanks very much.l! I'm going to look t it tomorrow, forgot it's labor day. Are the fixes you mention able to be done by a beginner with youtube help? Idk anything about cars lol.

@@Chrisjohnsob-o8p be sure to do that. especially at this time. my grandpa got charged 200 dollars at a auto shop for a broken back seat. my dad fixed it for 10 dollars with an amazon part. just an example of how people are trying to get by, scamming people. keep up with regular maintenance is the best way to keep your car running fine. cars are really durable and can withstand time. cheers mate!
Now!!! This is a only vehicle I buy one.
This is the last of the Hondas with no screens in the dashboard. Looks pretty neat all of those buttons!

More reliable the new ones r junk
