Thanks for the greate tutorials. New method learned: 1. Single vertex to create (half) profile, 2. Screw Modifier (like the Spin Tool) to create objects based on the profile, 3. Solidify + SubD to give final shape. The handle created with SubD is also cool. I've been having a really tough time with SubD because of all the unexpected distortions.
I started learning Blender Friday night and Sunday I made my own mug; watching this blew my mind! I love this tutorial a lot, thank you for making it! Also I appreciate how easy it is to follow along!
incredible, easy to follow tutorial. never used the screw tool before - blew my mind when my little line or verts turned into a cup with one click. i'd love to see some more of your timelapses as tutorials.
I've stumbled back to this video and let me say, thank you for getting me back into Blender. Making this simple thing gave me the motivation to continue for half a year till I've finally made my own realistic room render.
An Absolutely Genius Tutorial! You've Earned a Sub! This is one of the best tutorials I've seen so far and I look forward to seeing more like this! Thank you Polygon Runway!
Inspiring. Really nice, was looking for exactly this, since I only wanted to make small simple objects in a fast way for FDM furniture detail printing. Helped me a lot thanks.
Going from CAD software to blender, I was a bit annoyed I couldn't find an equivalent to the Revolve Extrusion tool. Had no idea the Screw modifier can work as that substitute, thank you so much
By far the best tutorial I've watched, this allows me to understand how to edit and model so much better with this technique which I never knew. Thnx dude
Wow! Love it :) I created my first ever mug yesterday starting with a cylinder (because I didn't know about the Screw Modifier) - I'm going to have a great play with the Screw modifier today, thank you so much!
Hello! Thank you so much for this! I recently got into using blender when making my capstone and came back to it to expand my skill set more. I’m a senior graphic designer just getting into the industry so learning new skills with these tutorials means more than you know. I was wondering in the future if you could make a tutorial focused on how you plan lighting for scenes and how you execute it in blender with what tools? and the different ways to go about lighting a scene. I find that I struggle with getting the ambiance and mood lightning that you get with your finished work :) thanks so much! ❤
OMG from Egypt i have learned for a month and i had a problem with build shapes like what you did but now 🤣🤣 with video i knew i waste a month with this video i made in 5 minutes what i have learned in a month
Hello, i made the first vertices and the plain but when i applied modifiers to the vertices, it also got applied to the plain? How can i remove them from the plane
Hi Roman, thanks a lot for this amazing tutorial! I've also recently bought your 3 course bundle and I'd wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn blender :D Do you plan on making any courses that are more related to creating objects like that or more hard surface modelling? Also, would the technique you showed here work for product design or would you recommend something else? ( I noticed you mentioned this technique would be good for renders that are not close).
Hello, Do you have a video with rendering parameters? I'm in my last year of video game creation studies and I would like to create a scene to render my props for my portfolio. But I don't know what engine use in blender and what parameters to use. Thanks for your feelback.
When I go to follow this tutorial and as soon as I press E to extrude, mine doesn't do it the exact same way as it's done in this video, why the hell is Blender so difficult to use? So then I went on ahead and made the line that you made and when I angled the camera to the same position as yours even by counting out the squares in the video. I just want to do something simple first, but no matter what tutorial I go to follow I can't do it the way it's being done in the video, what the hell am I doing wrong?
i saw you the first time. i have imagen you to have long hairs and beard ... but totally opposite... but i like you voice so soothing and great teaching skillls...
For the Blender 4.2 users, the Add Curve and Add Mesh add-ons have been moved to the "Get Extensions" just above the Add-ons option
thanks bro
Oh thank you
YES thanks bro,download too
This comment was a huge help! Same for 4.3 by the way
Nah, the two main processes described right at the start don't work with 4.3.2.
Thanks for the greate tutorials.

in 6:41, why aren't we pressing E and extruding along X axis like the coffee mug? what difference does it make with the extruding?
Thank you very much, Amazing tutorial !!

Thank you

Hey, check out my other tutorials, there are rendering settings as well
nice bro thank you
Muchas gracias
Cool 👍
great Tutorial! learned a lot from it. My Problem is just that my render has a lot of Artifacts. Any Tips?
Nice!
Thanks!

Хорошее видео, я всё понял. Спасибо за гайд!
I just can't find a way to add single vert in Blender 4.2.3 please help
You need to install "extra objects" addon
i saw you the first time. i have imagen you to have long hairs and beard ... but totally opposite... but i like you voice so soothing and great teaching skillls...
i cant extrude my single vert, its not alowing me, what do i do?
make sure you're in vertex select mode
Wow!
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but after I add a single vert, it won't extrude...?
Got it...
How to solve
@@ryzeximpxct make sure you're in Vertex select mode.
You might be on select faces or edges you have to be on verts or press 1 for vert select, 2 for edge select, or 3 for face select
it would be awesome if you had also shared your final render settings. Maybe next time? :)
Will do!
Thank you so much for the tutorial! One question, what else do I have to do to make it ready for 3d print?
Just make sure the geometry is close and you should be able to export STL no problem
@@polygonrunway thanks!
have you manual about your startup logo? :)
ruclips.net/video/9nSya-ueexc/видео.html
Just incase your mug handle is deforming/squishing, just make sure you apply scale after scaling the plane. Probably a beginner mistake.
🔥🔥
Can you create a glyph?
nice video but i am not able to add a texture......
There’s no extra object on my addons
I don't have extra objects in Add-ons
now there's a section called "get extentions" in preferences, you can get the addons from there
