I agree upgrade your rubber but track days have noise limits if you go too loud you won't be aloud on the circuit from memory you are aloud no more than 90 to 100 DBs

The omp wheel is legit mate. Can’t wait for the next track day. You need to do the super charger pulley and exhaust system.

Enjoying watching this. Got an r53 myself. Get a smaller pulley on the supercharger, makes a good difference and then look at getting the orranje stealth intake. Bigger intercooler is a good idea too keep temps down on track. The r56 Cooper s calipers fit which give you better brakes for quite cheap. You don't need remap or anything until you fit cam/injectors. The hairpin wheels from a MG fit and are pretty light and cheap.. Set of them with decent rubber on will make a big difference. Keep it up👌🏻

Corrado hubs give you wise track as well maybe the whole subframe also thicker rear anti roll bar and disnonnect the front one makes it less understeery, think we had both 16v anti roll bars on ours planned to go wide track with vr6 brakes I think was 2003 or something so a while ago really looking forward to seeing the golf on track as love the mk2s

Big brake kit, coilovers, bucket seats and harnesses, set of alloys with decent tyres, bigger pully for supercharger, plexi windows, full polybushed, braced, a RESINATED exhaust (some tracks are weird about noise) nice front mount intercooler, racing rad and thermostat (can get a little warm on track days) and you will be laughing for a while ( all relatively cheap and will help later on if you go bigger) then the big boy mods come in later on bud

You can also fit a gti exhaust to squeeze a bit more out of it... There are 2 ways of doing it...
1. Get a complete GTI exhaust system including the exhaust manifold, fits straight on. Downside is you have to get your old manifold off which can be tricky.
2. Get a complete GTI system up to & including the front silencer (under the centre tunnel) and get a 1.8 driver downpipe which mates to the 1.6 driver exhaust manifold and is a larger diameter at the other end which mates to the rest of the GTI system.
Also you can fit the k-jet injection off a pre 89 gti and the cam... This will give you a few more reliable horses
You will need the head too.. I forgot to mention

mk2 golf brakes, wilwood brake kit 4 pot calipers and all mounting brackets included easy and keep same wheels.
mini needs a roll cage for safety and stiffen up chassis help handling and a good set of coilovers be a wicked track car

big brake kit, bucket seats, harness bar and harnesses. hydro handbrake (for mad handbrake turns😂) remap, manifold back exhaust increased supercharger pulley size.... there's loads! first get the Nankang NS2R tyres from deemon tweeks they're semi slick I have them on my track polo they're so sticky and road legal!

You can paint or wrap helmet no problem. Inside your helmet will be a SNELL sticker under foam, that’s what a organiser will look for if they ever look at your helmet. A lot of people run motorbike/motor cross helmets in track days no problem.
Vw heritage do mk4 golf rear brake conversion kit for the mk2 and new disc pads will fix the fronts, I would also change the brake fluid , I understand you want good brakes but for g60 vr6 280 288mm you will need to change to a 22m master cylinder and 9inch brake servo keep it simple and just get branded disc and pads change fluid and bleed them properly! keep up the greet videos ✌️

Custom painted helmets are fully legal provided the British standard/e numbers are retained and the helmet is either fully stripped or masked to prevent over spray getting on to the foam inner which can melt or degrade the structure. They can be a pain to strip as most are bonded together.
I would go polly Bush on everything, but you need a massive sticker of (THE MOD SHOP) down the sides of the car like your intro 👌

something else cool that could help u is a short throw shifter whichis basically between gear eg 1 and 2 gear the gap between them is shorter so u can get into gears faster and there is less play in gear lever

Fit a Mk7 Golf GTI flat bottom steering wheel onto the T6, they look SICK 😉
Yo man, mini is looking dope and MK3 VR6 HUBS will fit 280mm 5x100 discs how ever you would have to run MK3 VR6 wishbones as the lower ball joint mounts are different and the rear MK3 5x100 disc bolt straight on to MK2 stub axles (rear) (providing you have discs on the rear already otherwise MK3 and MK4 rear stub axles will fit and I would highly recommend MK4 rear calipers as the MK2 calipers are prone to ceasing up. This is the same set up im running on my MK2 20VT JETTA, hit me up if you need a hand or any further assistance or questions X 🤘🏻🤙🏻

Sick mod that... few things, thing the mini should get some bucket seats and harnesses they do make driving fast much easier more comfortable and safer. Also a bolt in cage can be a huge pain in the rear but again so worth doing as it will also make it more rigid so will handle even better. Feel like you need a hydraulic fly off handbrake aswell, gotta master the handbrake turns innit😂. And also you will be able to get updated standard fitment disks and pads for the golf, would highly recommend drilled and slotted disks aswell if you can find them the defo help with the brake fade situation.

Regarding golf brakes if its got a lucas 54mm caliper up front you can get some g60 carriers and run g60 280mm disc's

Harry Main remove wheel and take a look at the caliper should have a small 54 stamped into it, but you could always take a photo and compare, I know the gti's usually run them but being a driver I couldnt say without seeing it
