I've had several of your 50s/60s/70s watches in both stainless steel and 9ct gold over the past couple of years, most with A. Schild movements, and all still going strong! Very nice to work on, too. :)

Having recently changed the battery in mine, I can say that the movement inside is a Japanese Miyota 1L40.

Just bought a Moon-phase Rotary Windsor...Chinese so what, the dial is absolutely beautiful...my classic Casio F91W was made there too...and not in Japan...but for £150 ..new off an E Bay dealer with a 3 year guarantee it is amazing value in my opinion...

Showing my age here, but, there was only one screen Sherlock, and the name of that gentleman was Basil Rathbone.
hey Gardius - yes I remember him also!! the best deer stalker ever worn on TV - did you know Rathbone won the Military Cross in WW1? :D

I really like the dimensions of this watch but having held one in store I was a little underwhelmed by the feel. I was expecting it to be heavier. That said the dial looks very nice for the price point. Better than some of the more expensive Swiss counterparts (Frederique Constant and Tudor to name a few).

I got the 1990's Rotary Aspen Sapphire Divers (blue leather strap) because I'm a lady, but I might get this one in the future for one of my brothers or nephews...

Rotary, like Accurist too, a Brit brand that not many will recognise outside the "island". But both are trying to survive, in a weird way lately (ok, many years 😋), with a little help from - who other that - PRC. Nothing new here. Not sure how all this will turn out, so far though, not the best of results...
As for this one, Breguet alike watch, i'll just say that i'm not a fan, especially with the Roman numerals (only the Cartier Tank can pull it out IMO...), but can definitely can see appeal it may have to you, and others of course.

I've been contemplating on buying this watch for sometime. The design language always lures me in. But the one thing that steers me away from this piece is the movement. My dad has had one rotary watch gifted to him by his company. It stopped working a couple of years later and any battery change didn't help either!!
My main concern for this timepiece is the movement. Whether or not it is a reliable movement and can it be replaced if it stops working?? Or is it one of those designer watch quartz calibres??

Hey bro so it seems the back of your watch is a different to ones I’ve seen in other videos. Yours says “celebrating X years of watchmaking” and “made in PRC” whereas the other videos I’ve watched are exactly the same as the marketing photos

Unless "Swiss Made" is printed on the bottom of the dial, the chances are this (otherwise beautiful) watch is made in PRC - Peoples' Republic of China.
it says as much in the video - made in PRC.
People's Republic of China = P.R.C.
