@Yafet Kibrom Nexus had a lot of potential, Barrett could've been an amazing top heel if he had been booked better, they even could've had cena turn heel and be the real nexus leader orchestrating everything.

I applaud him for being honest and putting the blame on Vince, where it rightfully belongs. When you are Majority Share Holder, President/Chairman of the Board, and CEO, literally nothing in the company moves without your say so, especially the main product. It's real easy to throw Cena under the bus, but the fact is, he's a company man, he always has been. Vince tells Cena to do a job, he does the job. It's not Cena's fault that the boss was too scared to tarnish his golden goose a little to put someone else over.

Don the problem is that the guy in charge got comfortable as soon as he bought WCW and became afraid to pull the trigger on anything, so he trapped the entire company in a looping cycle for the past almost 20 years and basically fucked over an entire generation of Pro Wrestlers... why would anybody in the locker room want to be competitive or have any pride in their character if they knew that at any moment they could and were most likely going to have the rug pulled out from under them. There is no reason to compete, there is no reason to care. The toxic part is dumbing down the role of the talent to the point of them just being bit actors in a half rate sketch comedy routine. Nobody needs to actually be a pro to work at WWE... all the stuff that made the true pros pros is all sanitized and choreographed... that’s why half of their roster is as green as grass in spring time. The art form as been removed almost completely, except only a handful of guys are allowed a little bit more leeway.
As far as AEW goes, they just need some time to iron out some kinks. It still feels too much like a big budget indy show. They give the guys enough freedoms to have pride in their characters but I don’t think they have enough people helping them develop an on screen presentation, opposed to a live audience presentation.

WWE dropped the ball constantly with Wade Barrett!
    1. The Nexus, led by of course, Wade Barrett, should’ve won at SummerSlam 2010, should’ve won the title from Sheamus at NOC’10 or from Orton eventually, instead of The Miz and should’ve main evented Wrestlemania vs Cena irrespective of the outcome!
    2. ‘The underground fight club to reignite the flame’with the beard thing in late 2012, which actually was the place where Wade came from in real life, could’ve been a box office smash, as well!
    3. Bad News Barrett gimmick was pure gold as well from the United Kingdom’s finest to date!
He had the crowd in the palm of his hands, and the WWE Universe were so engaged to it, that the WWE could’ve turned him face!
Whatever was given to Stuart Alexander Bennett aka Wade Barrett, was turned into pure gold by him, he is still a treasure, he should run a stable/faction, The New Nexus, as a manager, at least!
If this man was in the attitude era, (where I felt mostly everyone was given a fair shot, with lesser backstage politics) he might have had multiple world championship runs, he could out talk, out perform, anyone from the roster, as a HEEL, the HEEL!
One of my favourite superstars ever, to not win a World Championship.

Legendary Method The point still stands because you're the latest in a long line of people who misinterpret that podcast to fit their narrative. Cena decided, and later regretted, the FINISH he thought of for the match. That being the ddt to floor. The FINISH of the match, is not the RESULT of the match. The result was that Team WWE was going over, and that was management/Vince's decision.

Aaron Schmitz your point doesn’t stand you just want to say dumb shit because the proof is there Barrett, edge,Jericho even Bret Hart said that him going over was really stupid because it completely killed nexus as a whole who were white hot Barrett even said in the video that Vince told him summerslam needs a happy ending

People talk about him getting injured, but if The Nexus were still kept strong and relevant, and Barrett was a heel champion, he could still act as the leader of the group and have them doing his dirty work while he recovered, still making TV appearances and all.

They were a great group and potentially could have been for a long time. I don't understand what was the need to put over half the guys in team Cena. Bret had his glory, Edge and Jericho were well established, no clue what to do with Khali etc. Instead, Barrett, Darren Young, Justin Gabriel, Otunga, Slater all got screwed over. Only Ryback managed to become big from there. They had a chance to make many great storylines from there but failed miserably
