Wade Barrett is a f'ing badass. I met him once when I was training at the gym. I saw him level the heavy bag and broke it in pieces and do various circuit training. He is not to be messed with.

Seems like everybody forgets about Wade Barrett nowadays. He was always a very solid mid-card heel who could put in a good feud and match with anyone. I could only imagine if the Nexus storyline went farther than it did, and he had more depth to his character as a result, he’s a world champion.

It literally blows my mind to think that Vince thought of this whole epic debut for this group and push them for the time only to let them ALLLLL lose their momentum to Cena at Summerslam. Like WHY, Vince? Why would you do this?!?!

Everything he's done good since the attitude era he's sorta squashed himself. He rather kill his own shit than see if it has legs or plays out. It doesn't help he's losing his mind over the last decade. Punk, Bryan were the last chances.

Man I remember all those years ago when I was about like 9 years old I remember watching Raw for the very first time ever as I finally had found it on TV after playing the games for years and to see the Nexus debut as the first episode of WWE that I ever saw live was definitely a interesting moment for sure as I never would have thought I would have seen something of that nature but it also intrigued me to want to watch the very next week so they did their damn job one day i hope to see a nexus reunion were they do the group justice

Original Nexus members and their fate:
Wade Barrett: Deposed as the leader, he switched brands to form a new stable, then won the king of the ring, got a new gimmick and joined yet another stable before finally leaving WWE in 2016. Returned to WWE in 2020 to do commentary.
Daniel Bryan: Fired by the WWE after his very first appearance with the Nexus due to something which he did being deemed inappropriate for the PG era. Returned just two months later but didn't rejoin Nexus, had a singles career, formed a team with Kane. In the years that followed he soared in popularity, winning championships at WM XXX in 2014, before having to retire due to injury in 2016. He still never left WWE and took on the non wrestling role of a GM. Returned to wrestle in 2018 and still wrestles to this day though his popularity today is not so much as it was 7 years ago in early 2014.
Darren Young: Thrown out of the Nexus by his teammates. He had a mediocre singles run, then returned to NXT, then formed a team with Titus O'Neil, then going single again, then reunited with Titus, then feuded with him before getting injured in January 2017. He would never appear in WWE again and left in October that year.
Skip Sheffeild: Wrestled for Nexus in Summerslam in August 2010 but broke his ankle the same month. He would not return until April 2012 by which time the Nexus was long gone. Returned in April 2012, this time as Ryback. Became popular, had a good singles run, formed a team with Curtis Axel (Interestingly, Axel was in the Nexus as Michael McGillicutty though not one of the original eight and never was in the Nexus with Skip Sheffeild). Became IC champion and then left WWE in mid 2016.
Michael Tarver: Left the Nexus due to a persistent groin injury in October 2010. He left the WWE in mid 2011.
Justin Gabriel: Joined Barrett when the latter formed the Corre in early 2011. That also disbanded and he became a lower carder, having a mediocre singles run. He would end up being in a bunny costume for Adam Roses's gimmick. He left the WWE in January 2015.
Heath Slater: Joined Barrett when he left the Nexus to form the Corre. Became a jobber after Corre was disbanded. Joined 3MB and became popular. After 3MB, he teamed up with Titus O'Neil and then with Rhyno. Became popular ironically, people began to like him because of him always losing. After parting ways with Rhyno, he had another singles run before leaving WWE in July 2020.
David Otunga: The only one among the original 8 members of the Nexus to become a part of the New Nexus under CM Punk's leadership. Went on to win the tag team title for the New Nexus along with fellow member Michael McGillicutty. Punk left the Nexus in mid 2011, leaving only McGillicutty and Otunga; the Nexus was now a two man tag team and no longer a stable. They dropped the titles to Kingston and Bourne in August 2011. Otunga then had a singles run as a "legal advisor". He would wrestle less and less frequently until wrestling his last match against R Truth in July 2015. Ever since he does commentary and is a panelist for the WWE. He still works for WWE.
