Such a gem. 👌 The history that can be captured and preserved on an audio tape is precious. It would be so valuable for everyone to record their own family history as has been, in part, done here for Elvis' family. Names and dates on the backs of photos. Keep letters as well. The work of these collected interviews is not only a pleasure for Elvis fans, but will certainly be part of the Elvis family lore. TYVM for creating these and for sharing them with the world. 🌟
Yes! Hargetts are definitely related. My ancestor Charles Smith Sr. (my maternal grandmother Oma (Smith) Steele's grandfather) married Isabelle Hargett in Smith County, TN in 1847. Her paternal grandmother was Isabelle Presley, wife of John Henry Hargett III. Isabelle Presley Hargett's father was M. Richard Presley, son of Thomas Presley (1730-1808), in Mecklenburg Co. NC.Thomas was the brother of Andrew Presley, Jr. and he was Elvis' ancestor. Elvis was my 6th cousin 3x removed.
He speaks exactly as Elvis did in his early years. Thank you for sharing this rare interview.
Oh my gosh, he sounds so much like Elvis. The voice the accent, everything.
Same mannerisms too

Elvis was a Wallace? The grandmother had several children from different men, I think. The family background is interesting. Mine included.

I hear Elvis in his voice! He has a bit of a stutter in his voice the voice pattern is like Elvis “ that is so cool 😎
I wish when people put a negative they would have the balls to say why.
Boy oh boy he does really sound like his cousin .
Sounds like an honest man too.
Happy Thanksgiving
I have no doubt, once Elvis became famous. Relatives came out and f the woodwork😢
At Least Mackey was cool enough not to ask for anything and Vernon was to much of a penny pincher to gift him.
What is the name of the website he talks about?
We're all related. I think I'm cousin once removed added of my dad's uncle's wife's sisiter's son, twiced removed.
😅😅😅
So Elvis could have been a Wallas instead of a of a Presley 🤔 that’s crazy!😅
