Good choice upgrading to this from those briefcase type players. Much more solid piece of equipment for only a little more money, but so much more worth it, and these won’t destroy your records 👍
I just picked one of these up as a starter turntable Christmas present for my 14 year old daughter. I think it's a good bang for the buck given the build quality and features. I like that it's automatic, given that 14 year olds aren't known for being gentle on electronics. Sure, there are better tables out there for more money, but it's a perfectly acceptable place to start for a beginner. If my daughter really gets into the hobby, I can always upgrade her a year or two down the line.
Hey. I'm 15 and I got to say this is a great choice for her. I got mine around Christmas time, and find it way better then my previous cheapo crosley that randomly skipped all my records! Hope you guys have fun with the new turntable!

Hi, I bought the AT LP 60X Audio Technica turntable just about 3 weeks ago. I really like this turntable! I'm a bigtime fan of vinyl records ever since I was 11, 12 years old. I know that this is a entry level turntable, but the AT LP60X has the features that I was looking for in a turntable. I have the turntable hooked up to my Pioneer A/V receiver. My A/V receiver has front surround, rear surround, center channel speakers, and a subwoofer that came with the A/V receiver. My Pioneer A/V receiver is a power house- 270 watts. I'm a bigtime fan of classic rock music. I've been collecting and listening to vinyl records ever since I was 11, 12 years old. I'll be 58 years old next month in November.
I'm on a budget so this turntable will do for now. Once i have more money i can always upgrade. I like that the tone arm is already set. Also has a magnetic cartridge which makes it even more better & sound good. No ceramic cartridge.
@@DanTcoRdz I really don't know what's best for you. I bought it on Amazon because in my country those turntables are very expensive but I recommend how I bought it. I'm from Colombia and I received it in only 2 weeks.

I have an AT-LP60X-USB. When I first started using it I found that my 33.3rpm vinyl sounded higher pitched than they should. Something didn't seem right. I used an app on my phone (RPM) to measure the rotation speed and it came up at 34.9 RPM !!! Luckily there is a couple of adjusters underneath the base that allows you, with a very small screwdriver, adjust the speed. It's just something you should be aware of.

My question is why is the plastic piece towards the back of the stylus that it rests on preventing the stylus from going low enough to touch the record?
Does it allow you to lift the needle by yourself or you have to push the bottom every time you need to lift the arm needle? And same with setting the arm needle down, you can't manually set it down yourself but you have to push the button for the arm to drop down and play?
