As a Bolling myself living in the USA, I really appreciate you doing this tour so I can see a bit of my family heritage. I'm hoping to make a trip to the UK in a couple of years and this is a stop I'm sure to make!! I have friends over in Royton and we plan to do a bit of traveling around the country

I can trace my lineage to the Bollings back twenty-two generations to my nineteenth great-grandfather, John De Boling lII, who died in 1340. If my research is correct, they inherited the house much later. Fun fact, Colonel Robert Thomas Bolling, my ninth great-grandfather's first wife was Jane Rolfe, who was the granddaughter of Pochohantas; sadly, I'm related to his second wife Anne, so there is no direct connection between me and Pochohantas, but the family is very special on both sides of the Atlantic.

I used to live not too far from bolling hall- I could literally take a 10 min walk there if I still lived where I used to live. The last time I went in there was probably over 8-9 years ago when I was in Primary school so seeing this is so nostalgic. It definitely more different than the last time I wentโ€ฆ

Its a finger piano i believe, visited this place many times since been a child ,it always reminds ne of an old house i played in as a child ,the farmhouse is just off mayo avenue it was built from the remains of a castle i was told by the owner who worked in demolition. The barns were converted to houses years ago, this would make a good and interesting video for you to cover , please ask me if you need directions or any history i can help with,
