One that hasn't happened yet...the Pyro god is named Murata. So even if she doesn't actually LOOK like Himeko the name given to a Pryo character is definitely a big reference to the Honkai games.
Also, I will lay a large bet that the Tsaritsa will either be an EXPY of Bronya or just straight-up BE Bronya herself somehow because we all know Bronya is Hoyo's absolute favorite 😅

And before anyone says anything about it just think how she's an expy/ inspired by Himeko Murata so already 90% red flags for death how Capitano (nr 1 of the Fatui Harbingers) and one of the strongest individuals in Teyvat is gonna be there in the nation of pyro and war and Murata is the god of war so in the final act I can already kind of see her fighting Capitano or another strong enemy and then in a dramatic way making the special move aka the final lesson+ don't forget about ei suicide so makoto can ascend and then being bringed back to life then after the Khaenri'ah cataclysm she did it again so she can move her consciousness within the Shogun, or how Makoto Rukha Focalors and Egeria ended up like hoyo just loves killing female archons

I agree on the most, but i think that Arlecchino is Raven's counterpart because of the lore references and the style, for Durandal I still think that her counterpart will be some future goddess.
Again, in the Arlecchino part I meant the general ✨d e s i g n✨ not her lore.

@@Cheesecake770 That's what the chinese call Mei, it's to do with the fact that the chinese and the japanese use the same "alphabet" but the same characters have different pronunciations. If I'm not mistaken the chinese pronounce Raiden Mei as Léidiàn Yáyī (though perhaps it's fairer to say it's in reverse considering where the game came from), yes it's caused confusion amongst fans of the game speaking different languages before haha.
Somewhat off topic but perhaps fun to know, there have been a others cases like this. To name a few:
Benghuai = Houkai = Honkai (this one is pretty bad since the original and it's first translation mean something along the lines of 'collapse' or 'destruction' while the last translation mean something like 'wish').
Fu Hua = Fuka
Xi-er = Seele
Anti-Entropy = Negentropy
Jormungand = World Serpent
Celene = Sirin (tbf this one is a holdover from GGZ/honkai 2)

Out of all the Archons, Zhongli might be the only one who is not inspired by any Honkai characters but I still can't rlly pin point on who is Focalor's inspiration. Btw, when did the devs themselves confirm that Alhaitham was inspired by Kevin and Su ?

The more I play Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd (and what I have played of Genshin Impact, might return at some point), the more I appreciate all those cross-game connections and designs. I think it helps add more value to the stories and backgrounds that each character has.
I think Arlecchino is more like Raven, I mean, both have an orphanage, they are both russian and even both have claws.
Also I think Otto is more similar to Dottore, both of them are master schemers and ruthless villains, also both have clones

You know, the comments of Ei being Kiana and Mei's love child, and now the comment of Alhaitham being Su and Kevin's love child, ships irrelevant here, has got me thinking that maybe that maybe thats the pattern with genshin characters? Rather than being flat out clones or counterparts of honkai characters, its more like the devs are giving a little a nod to different ships and friendships within the honkai fandom by making characters that seems like they could be the children or mix of two honkai characters. Of course, still resuing assests, but making a fun little nod while they are at it? Because the amount of characters that could be a nod to honkai actually exapnds a lot if you take it that way, and also explains why none of the characters have the exact same name (none have same first name) or personality as their apparent obvious counterpart (No shipping wars please, this doesnt have anything to do with actually shiping characters and more just an observation)

Edit: What I mean is that the story of Rukkhadevata and Nahida together are the same as Teri and Kallen. Rukkhadevata alone is more like Cecilia yes, but when it comes to Nahida, it's Teri and Kallen.

Venti, Ei, and Nahida are obvious. Zhongli is Inverse Night Squire Fu Hua (inverse NS Colour and you'll get Female Zhongli)😭, while Focalors are referenced from Seele, Kira, and Jyahnar (Herrscher of Ocean) from HG2.

some of these were a little questionable but some more very direct references is narukami island in inazuma (mei/ei land) in genshin is named after Mei/Herscherr of thunder's sword "narukami : 7 thunders" in Honkai (I think genshin has a city named rumbling 7 thunders too?), and the " lost ancient robot suit of armor" in the summer events in genshin is literally just Honkai's jizo mitama boss from memorial arena.
also pretty sure paimon is an e.l.f from Honkai but that's not confirmed
I think jean is more of a saber face rather than a reference to dudu. Though Navia has a much closer design to dudu than jean does. Jean is blonde and has blue eyes, Navia does aswell, what differentiates navia to jean is that navia has a similar hair style to dudu.

Navia and Durandal look very similar, Venti and Wendy, and I think Natasha and Arlecchino are actually supposed to be counterparts (aesthetic, both have an orphanage, fire). Scaramouche is a lot more similar to Mei than Ei imo as well. Charlotte (Genshin) and Charlotte (Honkai stigmata), Kirara and Pardofelis, and while this is a different hoyo game, Jyahnar (ggz/ houkai 2) looks a lot like Bonanus. Also the statue of the former hydro archon has similar design elements to Jhana as well. I cannot think of anything else atm lmao

Tbh I think that Otto’s Genshin counterpart is King Deseret. Kaveh is supposedly descended from his line, and Deseret was definitely doing some Otto type shit in the desert. I have no clue who the Goddess of Flowers would be though, cuz Rukadivata is a Kallen expy. We think Goddess of Flowers was one of the moon sisters based on the lore from Cyno’s spear, so maybe the moon sisters are Kiana Expys, including the sustainer. Idk.

For me the voice is absolutely part of it but it's also the way he acts and his calculative planning which is very reminiscent of Otto
He's like Otto "lite" if that makes sense

Según una teoría, no se si es verdad, en la primera cinemática de genshin aparecen Lumine e Aether en forma de estrella, q casualmente tambien aparecen estrellas en un cap de honkai impact de APHO (creo) según esa teoría, q no es mía, los gemelos son del honkaiverse de un experimento q hicieron para escapar el honkai, y como vemos, lo consiguieron pq Teyvat no es del honkaiverse, es un mundo de otro universo creo
No estoy 100% segur@ de la teoría pero es posible, soloq ahora q lo pienso no tiene mucho sentido pq los viajer@s son estrellas (su forma real y como viajan) y cómo se ve en las alas de jugar en consola, dicen q los viajeros han visto el nacimiento y la muerte de las estrellas (y además son estrellas no experimentos asi q ns) y la vida de una estrella (según google) es de 20m-50b años asi q esto es muy confuso, pero aun así sería una referencia, no?
