And they always trash it by comparing it to japanese as well. What you are seeing here is people that are finally starting to stop putting other languages down in favor of japanese, but it is still the most respected voice acting industry. So again, you are being dramatic.
I give A+ to English, Chinese and Korean for nailing 100% the voice acting for each of the harbingers. For Japanese voice, probably this is the first time I rated below compare to others. I expect Pantalone JP voice like Aizen from Bleach while in Pucinella and Capitano JP voice case, the other languages voices just blown JP ver away in term of voice suitability and tones. The rest are amazing, it just that they probably miscast the VA for several that I mentioned. Now the real issue is.. when are you gonna released Harbingers banner, Mihoyo? Shit gonna break the sales record for sure!!

Almost always, Jp's voice director makes a questionable casting choice. I think he wants to make those characters more "stereotypical" by talking about anime. The problem is that the game is not an anime, so many of those characters sound very weird, bad, and most importantly, very different from other VA languages (of the same character). I'm glad more and more people are realizing this, so there are more and more people who could finally give credit to the other three VAs, whose voice actors do an INSANE job.
Yeah, I usually don't like the EN voices in Genshin (not that the other VA's are bad, it's just a personal prefernce) and even I liked the EN ones here! CN still ftw though >_.

I won't quite see Tartaglia as a psychopath just because he is murderous...they are either completely merciless beings who have no soft spot (One such example went as far as murdering his wife and children to prove a point, in a movie) or extremely competitive, even to the point of being toxic Tartaglia sounds more like he's just crazy murderous at times, and he still has genuine love, while psychopaths like Dottore are simply...loveless

Thank you very much to do this comparison, my favorite language in the game is Japanese because is phonetically similar to my mother language (Spanish), they do a magnificent job in the game with several of the best seiyuus in Japan. However, I'm a little disappointed for the dub of these specific scene because it didn't sound as solemn as it sound in English dub, the voice actors lacked of the required characterization, specially Pantalone's voice that sounds like any generic NPC male in the game, it does not fit at all with the character and Captain's voice sounds too young and weak to represent the strongest human in Teyvat.
I dunno, but maybe Cap's high voice has something to do with "Youth", which is the symbol of growth One president went "Give 1000 old men and i'll pull a mountain off its roots, give me 10 young men and i'll shake the world", and another phrase goes "To destroy a nation, destroy its youths" Maybe Capitano is meant to represent this youth, ageless or not...just my guess
